Itinerary

Discover the famous historical monuments of mainland Greece! With this five-day sightseeing tour in Greece from Athens including Meteora and Delphi, you will visit some of the most interesting sites in Greece. Visit the archaeological site of Delphi with Apollo temple and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed rock-tower monasteries of Meteora.

Day 1

ARRIVAL ATHENS

Arrival at Athens airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The afternoon is free at leisure for exploring this never-sleeping city. You may optionally visit Syntagma Square and get into the city’s vibe. Enjoy shopping in one of the most popular streets of the city in the Kolonaki area of Ermou, and have a nice, quiet walk at the beautiful alleys of Plaka (the old district) where you can also find a big number of small shops selling souvenirs and other local artefacts. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2

ATHENS – CANAL OF CORINTH – EPIDAURUS – MYCENAE – OLYMPIA (385km – 9hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Athens through the Corinth Canal (short stop). We will drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theater, world-renowned for its spectacular acoustics. Arrive at Mycenae where we will visit the archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon depart to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight in Olympia.

Day 3

OLYMPIA – DELPHI (330km – 8hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the archaeological site and the Temple of Zeus, the temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the stadium and the archaeological museum. Next, depart to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Overnight in Delphi (or Itea).

Day 4

DELPHI – KALAMBAKA (310km – 8hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Departure to Kalambaka via Central Greece. Overnight stay in Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka.

Day 5

KALAMBAKA – ATHENS (355km – 9hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure to Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Return to Athens passing by the heroic monument of Leonidas of Sparta at Thermopylae. Arrive in Athens early in the evening. In the evening (after 20:00 p. m.) transfer to Athens airport and flight back or book an additional night in Athens (not included).

For bookings made on or after the 23rd of April 2026 that incur cancellations will be subject to a 3% cancellation fee, effective from the time of booking.

This is non-refundable for customer cancellations.
