Deze trektocht geeft je de ervaring van de prachtige berggezichten en het rijke culturele erfgoed van de Annapurna regio in het westen van Nepal.
De paden brengen je naar het hart van de boerengemeenschap met een van de hoogste bergen ter wereld op de achtergrond.
Deze reis laat je ook kennismaken met de prachtige rododendronbossen, heilige hindoetempels en meren met prachtig uitzicht op de Annapurna, zo dicht bij je.
Ook is dit een reis op gemeenschapsbasis waarbij je verblijft in door de gemeenschap beheerde lodges/hotels waar je in contact kunt komen met de lokale bevolking.
Bij aankomst in Kathmandu zal de vrouwelijke gids van Holiday je van het vliegveld ophalen. Vervolgens word je naar ons hotel gebracht. Aan het eind van de middag kun je uitrusten in onze hotelkamer. s Avonds wordt er een welkomstdiner georganiseerd door Female Guide Holiday waar je uitstekende authentieke Nepalese gerechten geserveerd krijgt die je kennis laten maken met onze eetcultuur. Na het ontbijt beginnen we onze sightseeingtour met een bezoek aan de UNESCO Werelderfgoederen in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square laat de Nepalese kunst en architectuur op zijn best zien. De architectuur is typerend voor de Malla-dynastie die van de 12e tot de 18e eeuw over Nepal heerste. De Swayambhunath Tempel is onder buitenlanders populair als de Apentempel vanwege de grote apenpopulatie die in het gebied woont. De Pashupatinath Tempel ligt aan de oever van de Bagmati rivier en is een van de belangrijkste tempels van Lord Shiva. De Boudhanath Stupa is een van de grootste stupa's in Zuid-Azië en is gebouwd op de oude handelsroute naar Tibet.

Rijd naar het Syangja district ten westen van de Kathmandu Vallei. Het district is sinds kort ook populair vanwege de citrusteelt. Hier kun je in contact komen met de boeren en hun landbouwtechnieken observeren. In de loop van de avond rijd je naar Pokhara en kun je de hele reis genieten van het prachtige heuvellandschap. Bezoek vandaag de Galeshwor Tempel die op een enkele rots staat en gewijd is aan de hindoegod, Heer Shiva. Wandel vervolgens naar Banskharka volgens de Annapurna Trail. Bansakharka is een schilderachtig dorp dat wordt bewoond door de Magar gemeenschap van Nepal. Dit dorp wordt omringd door prachtige rododendronbossen en er stromen beekjes doorheen. Het dorp leeft al honderden jaren van de productie van mandarijnen, sinaasappels en honing, die je tijdens je bezoek kunt leren kennen en proeven. Verblijf in een door de gemeenschap beheerde lodge en geniet van het heerlijke lokale eten. Overnachting in Banskharka.

Vandaag wordt een leuke dag met veel activiteiten. Wandel door de citrusboerderijen, ontmoet de boeren en observeer hun landbouwpraktijken, terwijl je een wisselwerking hebt met de gepensioneerde Britse Gurkha's. Er zal ook een cultureel programma zijn tijdens de avond waar je kunt genieten van de lokale dansen met heerlijk smakelijk authentiek Nepalees eten op het platteland. Overnachting in Banskharka.

Begin vandaag aan een trektocht van een halve dag naar Dandakateri en geniet van de prachtige Annapurna en Dhaulagiri bergketens die beide tot de hoogste bergen van de Himalaya behoren. Terwijl we genieten van de ongelooflijke berggezichten, hebben we ook interactie met de lokale bevolking in het gebied. Overnachting in Banskharka.

Vandaag hebben we twee routekeuzes. We kunnen een pad volgen dat door het dorp Banmare loopt of door de dichte dennen- en rododendronbossen op grote hoogte. Als je de eerste route volgt, word je omringd door een prachtig heuvellandschap met bankterrassen die ons in elke bocht begroeten. Als je echter de tweede route volgt, heb je misschien geluk en zie je onderweg wilde herten en verschillende vogels en vlinders. Hoe dan ook, laat in de middag bereiken we het dorp Nagi. Er staat je vanavond nog een culturele show te wachten, terwijl je geniet van lokaal gemaakt eten en gierstlikeur en de nacht doorbrengt in een door de gemeenschap beheerde lodge in Nagi.

Nangi is een dorp gelegen op 2330 meter hoogte in een vallei omringd door heilige bossen waar verschillende hindoetempels staan. Tijdens een rondleiding door het dorp kun je getuige zijn van het systeem van zelfvoorzienende landbouw op grote hoogte, samen met een paar huisindustrieën zoals handgemaakt Nepalees papier, het kweken van sitkapaddenstoelen en de productie van groentezaden. Deze reis laat je ook kennismaken met het rijke culturele erfgoed van het gebied. Overnachting in Nagi dorp.

Geniet van het adembenemende berglandschap terwijl je via een met stenen geplaveid pad omhoog loopt naar Mahare Danda op 3330 meter hoogte. Ook hier zul je overnachten in een door de gemeenschap beheerde lodge en genieten van een heerlijke avondmaaltijd. Overnachting in Mahare Danda.

Mahare Danda staat boven diepe kloven en valleien op de rand van een steile bergkam en biedt ongerepte uitzichten op de Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri en Machhapuchhre. Vandaag neem je afscheid van deze plek en maak je een heuvelafwaartse wandeling van Mahare Danda naar Nangi. Overnachting in Nagi.

Vandaag vertrekken we naar Pokhara via Mallaj Lekhphant in het Parbat District. Geniet onderweg van het prachtige heuvellandschap en neem plaats voor de lunch in Ratamata. Daarna neem je deel aan een 2/3 uur durend interactieprogramma met leraren en studenten van de Gram Prakash Higher Secondary School. Overnachting in Pokhara.

Vertrek vroeg in de ochtend naar Sarangkot, een heuvel die uitkijkt over de Annapurna en Dhaulagiri bergketens in het noorden en Pokhara stad in het zuiden. Vanaf hier kun je de zon zien opkomen in de machtige Himalaya.
Ga dan terug naar Pokhara en bezoek de bezienswaardigheden van de stad. Davis Falls is een unieke waterval die rechtstreeks uitmondt in een smal en diep kanaal zonder einde. De Shiva Cave ligt vlakbij Davis Fall en herbergt een heiligdom gewijd aan Lord Shiva, een belangrijke hindoegod.
We varen ook in Phewa Lake, het grootste meer in Pokhara en bezoeken de Bindyabasini Tempel in het midden van het meer.
Bezoek het beroemde International Mountain Museum (IMM) dat het verleden en de huidige ontwikkeling van bergsportactiviteiten in de wereld en de Himalaya in het bijzonder vastlegt, documenteert en kronieken.
Je kunt ook een bezoek brengen aan het Tibetaanse vluchtelingenkamp en zien hoe de vluchtelingen zich bezighouden met het maken en verhandelen van wollen tapijten en ander handwerk. Overnachting in Pokhara.

Na het ontbijt nemen we afscheid van de prachtige noordelijke skyline van Pokhara en rijden we richting Kathmandu. Dit wordt een reis langs rivieroevers met prachtige uitzichten op heuvels en de landelijke Nepalese levensstijl.
Na aankomst in Kathmandu kun je uitrusten of souvenirs kopen. s Avonds hebben we een afscheidsdiner om de succesvolle afronding van onze reis te vieren. Overnachting in Kathmandu.

Terms and Condition
1. HOW TO BOOK:
Your contract will be with Serene Himalaya Treks and expedition. To book any of our trips, please send the completed booking form along with the copy of your passport and 20% of the total amount as a non refundable booking deposit per person per trip.
2. PAYMENT:
The balance of the trip price is payable on your arrival in Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan/India. If final payment is not received 2 days after your arrival, cancellation conditions will apply as per the clause below. Final trip documentation will be released upon full trip payment.
3. TRIP AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS:
AMENDMENT: If you wish to make amendments to your trip arrangements, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Each amendment to your trip arrangements will incur a $30 administration fee and you will be liable for any increase in airfares or operational expenses occasioned by the amendment.
TRANSFER: If you wish to transfer from one tour to another, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Once SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION receives your notice the transfer will take effect and the following transfer charges will apply:
If your notice is received more than 60 days prior to your original departure date, a $100 transfer fee will apply. In addition, any increase in airfares or operational services will be payable by you: or
If your notice is received within 60 days prior to your original departure date, charges will be as per cancellation clause.
It may not be possible to make any transfers of the bookings within 10 days of departure. Fees for the late changes will vary from a minimum of USD 50 and above per booking, if the changes can be made.
4. CANCELLATIONS:
If you wish to cancel your tour, you must notify Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition
in writing. Once Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition
receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:
If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.
If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.
If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.
No refunds are made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip starts and refunds will be at the discretion of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason. No refunds will be made for accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or any services not used
5. CANCELLATION DUE TO TRIP BOOKING NUMBERS:
Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition
reserves the right to cancel any trip before it is guaranteed to run. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise. In this case you are entitled to take an alternative trip of the same value without charge or you will be given a full refund of the trip price paid by you. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damage or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise.
6. ROUTE CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION OR DELAY:
SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right to change the route, postpone, cancel or delay the trip due to reasons beyond its control such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, wars, riots, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions etc. In this case SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION will refund the trip price only.
If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.
If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.
If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.
7. INSURANCE:
It is a condition of booking a trip with SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION. Your insurance must include cover for; medical expenses, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items and cancellation and curtailment, cost of repatriation and evacuation via whatever means necessary including by helicopter/air ambulance. If, in the event of an emergency medical rescue or evacuation from a trip of you the client, either by foot, helicopter or otherwise the responsibility for the payment of such costs will lie with the client. Any subsequent costs incurred for expenses such as hotels, food, transport etc shall be borne by the client. You must ensure that your insurance covers all of the activities you expect to participate in your trip. You must provide evidence to SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION upon your arrival. If you cannot provide the evidence of insurance you will be required to take out a suitable policy at that time. If you are not insured for any reason, you will not be allowed to continue with your trip and will not be entitled to any refund for services not provided.
8. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. In some cases, full and correct passport information is required when a booking is submitted to us in order that we can obtain necessary tickets, permits and visas on your behalf. If you do not supply the appropriate and correct information when you make your booking, we will not be able to make the necessary bookings on your behalf and cannot be held responsible.
9. RESPONSIBILITY:
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise and accept the risks and hazards potentially involved in adventure holidays and that you are mentally and physically capable of undertaking your chosen trip. You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition or disability that might affect your holiday or other group members enjoyment of it, before you book your holiday. If, in our reasonable opinion, your chosen holiday is not suitable for your medical condition or disability we reserve the right to refuse your booking. We reserve the right to cancel the contract if medical problems are discovered and, in this eventuality, we will give a full refund but no compensation. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment, which we advise you about in our trip information.
10. HEALTH & PHYSICAL FITNESS:
Trips take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Evacuation, where necessary, can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be your responsibility. SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse a participant the right to participate in a tour on medical or fitness grounds.
11. TRIP LEADER:
SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION nominated trip leaders take their responsibilities seriously and if for any reason a nominated tour leader believes, in his or her absolute discretion, that you should not participate in the tour, before your departure, he/she may exclude you from the tour. In this event, you will be offered the option of taking another tour considered suitable for you or a full refund. If for any reason during a tour the nominated tour leader considers you should not participate further due to you committing an illegal act, or in the opinion of the nominated tour leader, your behaviour is causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others, or your fitness or health is inadequate, he or she may direct you not to continue and you must follow the nominated trip leader's instructions. In this case you will not be entitled to any refund.
12. JURISDICTION:
No employee, representative or agent of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION other than Company Head or Directors to vary these conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Nepal Government.
13. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT:
If you have a problem during your holiday, you must inform your trip leader who will endeavour to put things right.
14. PROMOTIONAL IMAGES:
Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our trips may be used by the company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the invented) for bona fide promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, website slides, video shows and the internet.
