Culture Pérou : Lima, Arequipa, Colca, Puno, Cusco, Machu Pichu

Departure transfer. Day transfer from the airport to the hotel. The White City opens the doors to us on a tour that begins at the Carmen Alto viewpoint, which offers us a beautiful landscape of agricultural terraces and from where we can observe the three guardian volcanoes that surround the city: Misti, Chachani and Pichu-Picchu. We will continue to Yanahuara´s neighborhood, famous for its church built in the Andalusian style and its viewpoint, built with beautiful architecture and surrounded by ashlar arches. Then, we will visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, closed for about 400 years; and that preserves narrow streets, squares and gardens, a jewel of the 16th century. Finally, we will go to the Plaza de Armas, where we will be able to observe the Cathedral and the portals that surround the square and we will finally go to the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús; where its cloisters and the famous Dome of San Ignacio stand out. We end our tour here near souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and more beautiful views of the city. Stay in Arequipa.

Nous nous rendrons dans la spectaculaire vallée de Colca. Nous commencerons notre voyage par les pentes du volcan Chachani, nous traverserons la réserve nationale de Salinas et Aguada Blanca, une zone de protection pour les différentes variétés de camélidés sud-américains, comme les alpagas, les lamas et les vigognes, où nous pourrons les voir en liberté, en train de parcourir les hauts plateaux andins. Nous longerons le volcan Chucura avant d'arriver au mirador de Patapampa, d'où nous pourrons observer les volcans de la région. Nous arriverons à Chivay, où nous déjeunerons, puis nous nous promènerons sur la place de la ville et visiterons le marché. Nous nous installerons dans nos hôtels pour un repos réparateur. A quelques minutes de Chivay se trouvent les bains thermaux de La Calera, donc sortir pour prendre un bain est une excellente option si notre hôtel est à Chivay. Hébergement dans la vallée de Colca.

Very early in the morning, we will go through the Colca Valley, we will go to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. We will be waiting for the imposing flight of the condors, huge birds that are the symbol of the Andes Mountains. The view allows us to fully appreciate the dimension of the canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world. We will visit the towns of Maca and Yanque that preserve their beautiful colonial churches, we will also make some stops at viewpoints such as: Antahuilque and Achoma from where you will have an incredible view of the Collagua terraces. To get to know Titicaca´s Lake on a full day excursion, we will start by visiting Uros, hospitable inhabitants who receive us in artificial islands built on the basis of totora. Then we will continue towards the island of Taquile, where the inhabitants still preserve ancestral traditions and welcome us with their colorful typical clothes. We will not miss the opportunity to explore the island and be surprised with the beautiful views of the lake. In the afternoon, we will return to the city. Stay in Puno.

Today, you will travel from Puno to Cusco aboard a comfortable tourist bus, enjoying a scenic journey through the stunning landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. Along the way, you will make several stops at key cultural and historical sites, allowing you to explore the rich heritage of the region.

Nous visiterons les sites les plus remarquables de la Vallée Sacrée des Incas. Nous partirons pour la ville de Chinchero, la plus typique et pittoresque de la Vallée Sacrée. Cette ville est également célèbre pour ses femmes tisseuses, nous ferons un bref arrêt dans un centre textile pour apprécier ses beaux tissus et où l'on nous enseignera les anciennes techniques incas de teinture et de filage de la laine d'Alpaga. Dans la ville de Chinchero, nous visiterons son complexe archéologique inca et sa belle église coloniale, tout en admirant les impressionnantes images naturelles qui entourent la ville. Nous continuerons vers Moray, beau et curieux complexe archéologique inca composé de terrasses concentriques colossales simulant un grand amphithéâtre. À l'époque des Incas, il servait de laboratoire agricole où l'on recréait divers microclimats. Déjeuner dans l'un des restaurants de la région. Enfin, nous terminons notre visite par le fabuleux complexe archéologique d'Ollantaytambo, important pour les Incas en tant que centre militaire, religieux et agricole. Nous visiterons le temple des dix fenêtres, les salles de bains de la ñusta, le temple du Soleil, entre autres lieux d'intérêt. Les cartes postales des hauteurs d'Ollantaytambo clôtureront cette journée magique dans la Vallée Sacrée des Incas. Séjour à Cusco.

A  train trip away to see one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu*, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. At the arranged time, we will take the train back to Cusco to be transferred to the hotel. Stay in Cusco.
