Perú cultural: Lima, Arequipa, Colca, Puno, Cusco, Machu Pichu

Departure transfer. Day transfer from the airport to the hotel. The White City opens the doors to us on a tour that begins at the Carmen Alto viewpoint, which offers us a beautiful landscape of agricultural terraces and from where we can observe the three guardian volcanoes that surround the city: Misti, Chachani and Pichu-Picchu. We will continue to Yanahuara´s neighborhood, famous for its church built in the Andalusian style and its viewpoint, built with beautiful architecture and surrounded by ashlar arches. Then, we will visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, closed for about 400 years; and that preserves narrow streets, squares and gardens, a jewel of the 16th century. Finally, we will go to the Plaza de Armas, where we will be able to observe the Cathedral and the portals that surround the square and we will finally go to the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús; where its cloisters and the famous Dome of San Ignacio stand out. We end our tour here near souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and more beautiful views of the city. Stay in Arequipa.

Saldremos hacia el espectacular Valle del Colca. Comenzaremos nuestro recorrido por las faldas del volcán Chachani, atravesaremos la reserva nacional de Salinas y Aguada Blanca, zona de protección de las diversas variedades de camélidos sudamericanos, como alpacas, llamas y vicuñas, allí podremos verlas en libertad, recorriendo el altiplano andino. Bordearemos el volcán Chucura antes de llegar al mirador de Patapampa, desde donde podremos observar los volcanes que existen en la zona. Llegaremos a Chivay, donde almorzaremos, después pasearemos por la plaza del pueblo y visitaremos el mercado. Nos instalaremos en nuestros hoteles para un reparador descanso. A pocos minutos de Chivay se encuentran los baños termales de La Calera, por lo que salir a tomar un baño es una excelente opción si nuestro hotel está en Chivay. Alojamiento en el Valle del Colca.

Very early in the morning, we will go through the Colca Valley, we will go to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. We will be waiting for the imposing flight of the condors, huge birds that are the symbol of the Andes Mountains. The view allows us to fully appreciate the dimension of the canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world. We will visit the towns of Maca and Yanque that preserve their beautiful colonial churches, we will also make some stops at viewpoints such as: Antahuilque and Achoma from where you will have an incredible view of the Collagua terraces. To get to know Titicaca´s Lake on a full day excursion, we will start by visiting Uros, hospitable inhabitants who receive us in artificial islands built on the basis of totora. Then we will continue towards the island of Taquile, where the inhabitants still preserve ancestral traditions and welcome us with their colorful typical clothes. We will not miss the opportunity to explore the island and be surprised with the beautiful views of the lake. In the afternoon, we will return to the city. Stay in Puno.

Today, you will travel from Puno to Cusco aboard a comfortable tourist bus, enjoying a scenic journey through the stunning landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. Along the way, you will make several stops at key cultural and historical sites, allowing you to explore the rich heritage of the region.

Visitaremos los lugares más destacados del Valle Sagrado de los Incas. Partiremos hacia el pueblo de Chinchero, el más típico y pintoresco del Valle Sagrado. Este pueblo también es famoso por sus mujeres tejedoras, haremos una breve parada en un centro textil para apreciar sus hermosos tejidos y donde nos enseñarán las antiguas técnicas incas de teñido e hilado con lana de Alpaca. En el pueblo de Chinchero visitaremos su complejo arqueológico inca y su hermosa iglesia colonial disfrutando de las impresionantes imágenes naturales que rodean el pueblo. Continuaremos hacia Moray, hermoso y curioso complejo arqueológico inca compuesto por colosales terrazas concéntricas que simulan un gran anfiteatro. En tiempos de los incas, sirvió de laboratorio agrícola donde se recreaban diversos microclimas. Almuerzo en uno de los restaurantes de la zona. Por último, terminaremos nuestro recorrido visitando el fabuloso complejo arqueológico de Ollantaytambo, importante para los incas como centro militar, religioso y agrícola. Visitaremos el Templo de las diez ventanas, los baños de la ñusta, el Templo del Sol entre otros lugares de interés. Las postales desde las alturas de Ollantaytambo cerrarán este día mágico en el Valle Sagrado de los Incas. Estancia en Cuzco.

A  train trip away to see one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu*, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. At the arranged time, we will take the train back to Cusco to be transferred to the hotel. Stay in Cusco.
