Day 1

Reach Kathmandu via various international airline and transfer to hotel.

On arrival get received by our staff and guide and transfer to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu. After checking into your lovely rooms, get refreshed from jet-leg. Then join in with other members of Manaslu circuit trekking.


Our guide / leader will brief with information about the hotels-including detail of trekking regarding local lodge, walks, view, history and culture.  Simultaneously, with few important do’s and don’ts while you are with us having enjoyable times.


Evening includes a nice dinner in a pleasant Nepalese restaurant with local cultural programs. Remember the next day morning, we will have an Kathmandu tour.

Day 2

In Kathmandu with optional sightseeing tour and preparation for the trek.

A free day is arranged to get closer to Kathmandu life. In the morning, an optional sightseeing tour  takes you at places of great interest. So, explore around Kathmandu world heritage sites for few hours and back at hotel.


Afternoon at leisure and free time, do individual activities.  And then get ready with packing for next early morning drive to  Nepal Mid-West.

Day 3

Machha Khola 930 m – 06 hrs.

The morning starts with a scenic and interesting drive beyond Kathmandu Valley towards a winding road. They drive past many farm villages and towns within warm areas following the Trisuli River to reach around Dhading district.


As the drive continues heading uphill and down within warmer areas to reach Arughat within the Gorkha area. From here, the rough dirt road follows the Budi-Gandaki River upstream to the overnight stop at Machhakhola. And, it’s where our walk towards higher Manaslu Valley begins.


This interesting place Machhakhola. Driving past smaller villages, it leads us toward the steep valley within a thick forest,. And then reach a wide valley opposite a large tributary stream that runs into the Budi-Gandaki River.

Day 4

Trek to Jagat 1,410 – 06 hrs.

From here onward, you will encounter many interesting farm villages and neat cultivated fields. As  vegetation changes slowly due to altitude and climate in Manaslu circuit trekking. Next, our morning walk leads to cross over a stream where Machha Khola name comes from. And then walk upstream towards Khola-Bensi village with Tatopani, a place with natural ‘hot spring’.


Similarly, walk continues and valley becomes much narrow and steeper. Then our trail switches to left bank of the river. And then cross a suspension bridge, after a short period of walk entering patch of forest. And then reach at Doban located on the high shelf of Budigandaki River.


Our long walk of the day continues across a broad field towards stream and over a suspension bridge. Then, leads to a climb on high trails to descend into an open valley of Yara Khola.


And then, our journey continues on for another hour to reach at Jagat for overnight stop. Jagat is a nice farm village with mix tribes of Magar, Chettries, some Newar, Brahman, Manaslu Bhotia (Tibetan looking tribes).

Day 5

Dyang 2,130 m via Philim 1,570 m – 06 hrs.

Next day, downhill  from Jagat on stone steps to reach a river.Where path climbs to a terraced hillside at Saguleri. From here one gets the superb views of Sringi Himal which is above 7,187 m high. Then, the walk continue with ups and down trail as our route reach at a bridge over Budi-Gandaki.


After crossing over a bridge, our trail winds up to reach at Philim village for short break. So, observe this nice farm village with rich cultivated fields and terraces.


With  refreshing stop at Philim, walk from here leads higher past scattered farm villages. Climb through terraces of golden fields of wheat’s and barley in Manaslu circuit trek. Then reach  to a rocky ridge top covered within bamboo forest area towards Eklai Bhatti, means a lonely Inn. At present few more shops has been come up.


After a rest, walk towards higher Manaslu area, where our route divert toward North West to reach Dyang. Stop at Dyang for overnight stay which is a small nice village of Tibetan culture.

Day 6

Namrung 2,700 m- 05 hrs.

Morning walk leads entering into sheer cliff walls, within dramatic sections of the walk. Then Manaslu circuit trek route continue passing farm village. We see houses and terrains completely changes into Tibetan culture from Dyang onward.


From here walk leads at Bihi, a small village, with people of more Tibetan origin with strong Buddhist culture.

Villagers of the area grows buck wheat, wheat, barley and potatoes as staple crops. Since trekking gain popular around the area, spinach, carrots and cabbages are also grown.


After Bihi walk continues for another two hours to a steep sided and scenic valley. We will encounter Mani prayer stone walls, as walk leads at Ghap, a village with stop for possible lunch break.


As walk altitude gains, enter into alpine and coniferous woodland. Where path meanders with steep up, as valley opens out with extensive pastures. And then cross a large stream flowing from the glacier of Lidana.


On walk enjoy grand views of Manaslu with native name as Kutang (Manaslu) Himal range. Also, Pang Phuchin 6,335m, Saula Himal 6,235m with many unnamed peaks of above 6000m.


Walk from here with gradual uphill as altitude gains at slow pace. Thus, pass farm village to reach at Namrung for overnight stop, the village is also called Sho Namru

Day 7

Lo-Gaon 3,180 m -05 hrs.

With overnight at Namrung, walk leads to spread out farm fields within Yak country around high Manaslu valley. The locals here  are engaged in farming. Then move to  high and scenic valley all the way to Lo Gaon, a nice village for overnight stop.


This is one of the attractive villages around Manaslu region. At Lo Gaon, enjoy close views of towering Manaslu North Face. Also visit its monastery with numerous chhorten and Mani walls with views of Ganesh Himal towards east.

Day 8

Sama-Gaon 3,530 m -05 hrs.

Now onward, walk is much easier but depending upon altitude route leads to a slow and gradual climb. During this time  you will encounter constant views of mountain with Peak 29 ahead. After couple  of hour climb, reach into a patch of forest and then at at Shala village.Also enjoy excellent view of Phungi, Manaslu and Himal Chuli.


Walk for few hours further where day completes reaching Sama-Gaon village, with superb view of Mt. Manaslu.


Sama-Gaon  is a one of the largest  village within high Manaslu Valley. Where natives are mostly farmers cultivating buck wheat, barley, which are the main crops in this high and harsh terrain. But with together potatoes and some high and cold vegetables are also grown. Villagers around high Manaslu valley descended from South West Tibet way back more than 400 years of history.Thus, custom and culture of ancient Buddhist heritage are similar to its origin Tibetan predecessor.


The local villagers are still active with trade and bartering across the border with Tibet.It takes few days to reach the frontier of Nepal and Tibet.

Day 9

At Sama-Gaon rest day for acclimatization and local excursion.

Today have a free day to support acclimatization before heading towards high Larke-La pass. So, explore around Sama-Gaon with houses adorned with similar style of Tibet with grand views of peaks. One can visit this village old Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 10

Trek to Samdo 3,690 m – 05 hrs.

After a marvelous time and rest-day in Sama-Gaon, walk leads to four hour or more to reach the last village within Gorkha and Manaslu region at Samdo. So, morning walk begins with slow climb, as elevation slowly gains within dry and arid country. Walk slowly with short break and enjoy surrounding beautiful views of peaks and dramatic landscapes.


Then reach Samdo village with short climb to a small flat plateau. This last village incorporates more than fifty houses sheltering two hundred villagers around this high harsh and dry country.

Day 11

Larke Phedi / Dharama-Shala 4,470 m – 04 hrs.

On leaving the last final village of scenic Manaslu valley, walk continues to the end of the Manaslu area. Thus eye on incredible views of snow capped peaks including Mt. Manaslu,which is world’s 8th highest at 8,163 m.


As walk continues, cross few icy streams to reach at Larke Phedi, where phedi means bottom of the pass, also called Dharmasala (travelers rest house / shade). In old days it was also known as Larkey Bazaar.Because trade and bartering use to take place between merchant-traders and locals of Gorkha-Manaslu-Manang people and Tibetans on this remote isolated spot.


At Larke Phedi with free time at afternoon go for short walks and prepare for next early morning long climb. Today’s day end with overnight stay at Larke Phedi.

Day 12

Cross Larke La 5,106 m and trek to Bhimthang 3,790 m -07 hrs.

Early morning walk leads up-hill past few huts of Dharmasala. Walking over moraine of rocks and boulders in snow conditions can be arduous job to find the right path.


However, walk follows our lead guide past ablation of north Larke glacier, facing views of Cho Danda and Larke Peak. As walk continues, gradual climb gets much steeper to reach top of Larke-la festooned with thousands of colorful Buddhist prayer flags.


From the top eye on excellent panorama of Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II include series of Manaslu peaks.


Now, a long descend takes to a valley called Larcia, with further walk on moraine ridge to Tambuche at 3,900m. Then a short walk leads to Bhimthang for overnight stop after a long, tough day walks.


Bhimthang is a lovely place located on a wide green valley with number of lodges adorned with prayer Mani walls. The area is surrounded by green tall trees of rhododendron-pines and oaks.

Day 13

Trek to Tilje 2,300 m – 06 hrs.

Rest of the journey is much easier on downhill but long walks with short climb takes  on route to Gho and Tilje villages.In morning, catch views of peaks and  walk into thick alpine woodland in  Trekking to Manaslu circuit


Next,head into beautiful forested areas to reach a small clearing in the midst of woodland at Gho. Gho is a small cattle and yak herders summer pasture and temporary settlement area. Due to trekkers passing this route, few lodge has been built to cater the needs of travelers.


After Gho, few hours of walk takes to a Tilje village by the side of raging Marysangdi River for overnight stop.

Day 14

Trek to Syange 1,100 m via Jagat and Dharapani 1,725 m -07 hrs.

Today will be the last walk of the adventure, where walk leads towards much descend following Marysangdi River to Tal and Chamje village. And the reach at another Jagat village of Lamjung area.


From here a steep descend takes to river valley at Syange village for final overnight stop before heading back to Kathmandu or other destinations.

Day 15

Drive back to Kathmandu -07 hrs journey and transfer to hotel.

Enjoying marvelous time and experience on  Manaslu Circuit Trekking and over high Larke-La pass it ‘s time to return back. Morning board in a vehicle for exciting and interesting overland journey to reach back at Kathmandu for last moment within amazing Nepal and its Himalaya.

Booking with us:

After going through our norms and conditions you ask for information and queries if in doubt, all trip booking for Nepal destinations should be made by two months earlier minimum of two weeks times, so that we arrange necessary details well in advance to avoid disappointment like hotel-domestic airlines booking and as well chartering bus-coach or booking tourist bus tickets ahead before your arrival.

25% down payment which you can transfer to Bank Account in Kathmandu / Nepal rest of the trip cost to be made on arrival in Kathmandu before trek / tour departures, where applicable foreign currencies accepted like US $ – UK Pounds, and Euro or Chinese / Indian.

For Tibet and Bhutan at least minimum of one month booking ahead to arrange all logistic and entry permits for neighboring countries with 50% in advance.


Booking in Last Hour:

We accept your last hour booking in the eve of trip departure with 100% payment (07 days prior to tour starting date only for Nepal Trips, excluding trips Tibet, Bhutan and India not accepted as this requires at least 3 weeks in advance prior to trip departure for Nepal neighboring countries.

Trips Cancellation Policy:

On booking, some might be compelled to cancel the trip with various reasons from personal / domestic, medical, health, job or with some other situations, in this case where cancellation fees will be applied of 25% as cancellation charge, where you will be notified us or to our overseas agents with minimum of month in advance before trip departure.

60 % cancellation fee applied on 2 weeks to a month notice.

No refund on last minute or no show situation.

If clients has to return or break from the tour, trekking / or any other trips earlier than proposed itinerary days due to medical / physical or personal reasons clients has to borne his / her own expenses on route of trekking and at hotel in Kathmandu or in any other last main cities before you departure for home.

There are no refunds, if the company has to reroute to other areas due to unavoidable circumstances and from bad weather.

If such conditions arise company holds the right and providing you a hassle free adventure holidays with enjoyable time.

Clients’ Responsibility:

A tour / trekking guide representing our company holds all authority during treks and tours. If one behave badly or commit any unlawful act, where you will be compelled to leave the tour / treks. No refund will be made in such condition.

NEPAL VISA & PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients are requested to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole / own responsibility of clients.

CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES FOR BHUTAN:

01: Required minimum of 30 days for cancellation notice prior to trip departure and it must be in written form, such notice will be implied from the day the note is received. Cancellation shall be valid after the company approval on receiving the documentation. The Trip shall then be termed as cancelled and then 50% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance paid as cancellation charge.

02: There will be no refunds if a passenger cancels the trip or leaves a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily, involuntarily or if you commit any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. We will make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

03: On the eve of trip departure if you are prevented in joining the chosen tour, unfortunately there is no refund regarding this, transfer or postponing options are available as the Bhutanese Government has strict Tourism act and policies.

BHUTAN VISAS & PASSPORT CONDITIONS:

All clients requested to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. For Bhutan visas you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications at least 45 days prior to the fix departure date.

TIBET CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES:

01: As per the company rules, there will be no refund to clients with less than 20 days notice given to us, on or before Trip departure and if a clients leaves the trip earlier for due to personal or medical reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily and if committed any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. Then the company is compelled to make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

02: If client require any changes from the chosen original tour, the person who have booked the tour must submit a written document with any changes required. Then we will make every effort after the notification, but the changes cannot be guaranteed.

03: If you are compelled to cancel from travelling on the tour by genuine reason or circumstances, for example (without restriction) due to death, injury or any serious illness of the person, close relative or friends, redundancy or jury service, in this case one may postpone or transfer your booking to another close person, as long or provided they meet all the requirements relating to that trip. You are requested to provide proof of why you were unable to travel at the time and need to change your booking.

NEPAL / TIBET VISAS & PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients are requested to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients.

As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications to this country, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.

HEALTH & FITNESS:

All Treks and Tours requires where one should be in sound health and good level of fitness before signing trip with us, client requires should with your Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.

It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Eco Holidays Nepal of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.

CHILDREN:

An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen. If you have any queries regarding age and suitability, please contact us for further information.

PUBLICITY:

Request to allow Eco Holidays Nepal to use pictures, snaps or images of you taken during the trip without being informed and as well without compensation, for company promotion and advertising purpose only through whatever medium takes place.

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY AND PRICING:

Travelling with us requires a degree of flexibility, positive attitude good humor and understanding where mode of transport, accommodation and itineraries may change, even after the tour has commenced, without prior notice due to local circumstances such as flight delay, cancellation or postponement, road block due to riots and political crises.

WEATHER:

Himalayan regions or other unpredictable circumstances such as land-slides, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest or delay arrival etc. Eco Holidays Nepal is unable to refund any payment under the above circumstances due to prior supplier arrangements. If possible we will always endeavor to provide you an alternative or substitute trip of same category.

Eco Holidays Nepal does not accept any responsibility for loss on employment, delays or compensation resulting from situations beyond our control.

Our holidays, tour / trek packages, are based on twin share accommodation. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to clients who do not have another tour participant to share accommodation with.

We reserve the right to revise pricing rates posted in our marketing material, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc.

PRIVACY:

In order to gather information from you to make a booking through Eco Holidays Nepal  Destination, may ask many questions to obtain necessary permits etc. No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purposes.

However, the entire program is conducted strictly under the rules and regulation of theirs’ own policies.

Eco Holidays Nepal shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstance such as govt. restriction, Land slide, road blockage, flood, snow political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, sickness or accident, Any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients on the spots.

Client also should understand that what you might be accustomed to the western affluent countries, Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries can’t afford such facilities.

Weather is another factor that directly impact on the journey. Hence, patience and positive in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before hand is must in taking part around third world countries.

The best thing is to take as it comes and think positively, then you will enjoy the holiday with us.

Travel Insurance:

You must have complete travel insurance package against medical, travel for natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation etc. This is strongly suggested to all our respected clients.

Tour Amendment:

To make alterations of any trek / tour itinerary, prior notice is requested.

You are advised to stay in touch with us thus, but occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc.

Your personal belongings:

On any account, we are not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by Eco Holiday Nepal  porters, yaks-ponies or vehicles.

That means your personal possessions; luggage might be at your risk at the times, and however our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.

Papers & Documents:

All necessary documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, obtain necessary permits etc. We are not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departure on the absence of essential papers and documents.

Risk & Responsibility:

Assuring your complete safety and satisfaction which is our main responsibility and concern, we therefore carry out our service sincerely & earnestly ensuring a hassle free holiday.

Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may change under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.

07: On Camping services includes twin sharing tents (unless booked for single supplement) with separate kitchen unit backed by cook, kitchen staffs, guides and porters (in some area we use pack animals Yaks or Mules).

08: Private comfortable cars, coach or bus (as per the size of the group) on long driving journeys as per the trip selected.

09: Group Orientation program on do’s and don’ts regarding your trip.

10: International Air Tickets Re-Confirmation.

11: Our guide will have basic First Aid and Medical Kits.

Trek / Tour Grades information:

Leisure tours or walking trips:

For any physically fit of all ages with sound health, these trips involves short walking days of few hours and more of tour with scenic drives at places of interest.  The whole trip goes from 4-5 to 8 days on trek or scenic tour.

On rafting for a day or two days.

Moderate Trips:

For any physically fit of all ages that have done normal walk and with sound health. These trips involves few ups and down and the length of treks will be from 4-5 hours of walk every day with plenty of break in between. The whole trip goes from 2-5 to 8 days.

Adventurous Trips:

For physically fit person of all ages with sound health who have done moderate to vigorous walk or activity before or at present. These kind of treks involves long ups and down and the length of treks will be from 6-7 hours of walk every day with break in between. The whole trip goes from 10 to 20 days in the high altitude. On Rafting it involves river expedition for 7 -10 days.
