Beleef vijf dagen winteravontuur in het hoge noorden. We nemen je mee op sneeuwscooters, sneeuwschoenen en ijsvissen, en laten je het adembenemende winterlandschap van bovenaf zien met een rondvlucht. We laten je wilde dieren van dichtbij zien in het "Yukon Wildlife Preserve" en verwennen je met een duik in het rustgevende warme water van de "Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs". Dit is een veelbewogen wintertour in de Yukon voor jonge reizigers en reizigers met een jong hart. Op twee avonden naar keuze reis je net buiten het stadscentrum, maar ver genoeg van het stadslicht naar een idyllische plek om het noorderlicht te bekijken, het AuroraCentre. De avonden staan in het teken van ontspannen noorderlicht kijken naast een gezellige houtkachel of een knapperend kampvuur. Een wintervakantie is pas echt compleet als je de aurora borealis aan de nachtelijke hemel kunt zien.

Warmwaterbronnen, wilde dieren en een vogelperspectief
We beginnen de dag met een rondvlucht boven het spectaculaire winterlandschap tijdens een rondvlucht van 30 minuten. Tijdens de vlucht kunnen we genieten van de yukonwinter vanuit een hoek die maar weinig mensen ooit zullen zien. Terug in Whitehorse ontdekken we de geschiedenis van het noorden tijdens een stadstour. Whitehorse heeft veel te bieden en is de thuisbasis van beroemde bezienswaardigheden zoals de historische Paddlewheeler SS Klondike of een "Skyscraper" volledig gemaakt van boomstammen. Later rijden we naar het Yukon Wildlife Preserve waar we inheems wild zoals de Elk, Moose, Caribou, Mountain Goats en Porcupines van dichtbij kunnen zien in hun natuurlijke omgeving. Niet ver hiervandaan bezoeken we de Eclipse Nordic Hotsprings en laten ons verwennen in het natuurlijke warme water en ontspannen in een adembenemende winterse bergomgeving. Later die avond ga je weer op pad, dit keer om het verbluffende noorderlicht te zien. Ontspan in beschut comfort of onder de sterrenhemel naast een warm vuur op een van onze op maat gemaakte aurora-kijklocaties. Overnachting Hotel in Whitehorse.
IJsvissen en sneeuwschoenwandelen op een bevroren meer
Vandaag gaan we ijsvissen op een van de prachtige meren in de omgeving van Whitehorse. Met behulp van een ijsmeter boren we een gat in het ijs. Het ijs op een meer kan 30 cm tot een meter dik zijn! Warme drankjes zullen beschikbaar zijn om ons warm te houden. Kijk rond en geniet van de schoonheid van een winterse dag terwijl je wacht op de grote vangst! Als we geluk hebben en een mooie forel vangen, zal je gids deze fileren en op het vuur koken. Aan het einde van de dag keren we terug naar Whitehorse met een recordvangst en mooie herinneringen. Later op de avond vertrekken we naar het AuroraCentre waar we op zoek gaan naar het noorderlicht.

Op snelle sporen door de sneeuw
s Middags rijden we de bergen in vlakbij Whitehorse. Na een uitgebreide veiligheidsintroductie stappen we op onze sneeuwscooters. Met plezierige snelheid rijden we door het gedenkwaardige winterlandschap van de Yukon en genieten we van het uitzicht op besneeuwde bergen. Met een sneeuwscooter kan de reis een opwindende rit zijn op en neer prachtige bergen of een ontspannende tocht door het bos en over historische paden. Overnachting in een hotel in Whitehorse.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND BY Arctic Range Adventure LTD.:
If the minimum number of participants has not been reached, we reserve the right to cancel a tour up to 14 days prior to start of the tour. You will be notified immediately and you are entitled to a full refund if you are unable to join one of our other departures. If we or our partners are forced to change the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances, like forest fires, floods, breakdowns, all decisions are left to the discretion of the tour guide.
Charter Services & Custom Programs are subject to a deposit and cancellation policy that is different from our standard payment & cancellation policy. We reserve the right to charge additional deposit or full payment at the time of booking. You will be advised at time of exact deposit and cancellation terms.
LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
Arctic Range Adventure chooses its suppliers (e.g. hotels, carriers and other suppliers providing tour services) with great care. These suppliers are, however, independent contractors and Canadian Arctic Range Adventure cannot be held responsible or liable for their acts or omissions.
For all activity programs (i.e., but not limited to, river rafting, horseback riding, canoeing, hiking, sightseeing etc.) in Canada and USA clients will have to sign a “waiver of liability”. The tour operator and wholesaler is under the obligation to inform the client in time that a waiver of liability has to be signed at the beginning of the program. Arctic Range Adventure will, of course, always do its best to ensure the greatest possible safety for all its clients.
Arctic Range Adventure can also not be held liable for changes in tour itineraries due to weather conditions, acts of God or special conditions beyond our control.
All costs that may result from any delays of passengers at the airport or any delays that might occur at the end of the trip are the responsibility of the client. Arctic Range Adventure cannot be held liable.
Furthermore, Arctic Range Adventure cannot be held liable for the contents of any brochure prepared by a wholesaler or tour operator and any misrepresentation of our tours therein.
Should clients encounter problems during their trip they are required to contact Arctic Range Adventure immediately in order to solve the problem. Should a written account of concern be filed, it has to be sent to Arctic Range Adventure within 4 weeks of completion of trip. Claims received after that date cannot be considered.
An all inclusive accident- and luggage insurance for your tour is very important and highly recommended.
