Day 1

Sofia - départ

Arrival to Sofia. Transfer from the airport, welcome dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2

Visite de la ville de Sofia

After breakfast - embark on a panoramic city tour of Bulgaria’s capital. Highlights include the 5th century St. Sofia Basilica, National Parliament, the ruins of the Roman Serdica and the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. In the afternoon you have free time to further explore Sofia with a wander through the Vitosha Art Boulevard, with its boutiques, shops and cafes.

Day 3

Sofia - Monastère de Rila - Plovdiv

After breakfast - set off to Rila Monastery (X c.)- the biggest Bulgarian spiritual center since the Middle Ages till nowadays, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It’s located in a picturesque mountain area. The Rila Monastery has rich collection of icons and wall-paintings. Its museum keeps a real treasure: a wooden cross of just 81 cm height, carved with 104 religious scenes and 650 figures. 

After lunch in a local restaurant continue on to Plovdiv.

­In the late afternoon arrive in Plovdiv and, after check-in at your hotel, discover the city's highlights on a walking tour through the beautiful Old Town and marvel at the 18th century Bulgarian architecture, visit the Ethnographical Museum, one of the museum-houses in the old city, the St. Constantine and Elena church, the Antique Theatre (in use today) and the Roman Stadium.

Day 4

Plovdiv - Kazanluk - Etara - Arbanassi - Veliko Tarnovo - Arbanassi - Etara - Kazanluk - Plovdiv

After an early breakfast - transfer to Kazanluk, capital of the Valley of the Roses, to learn about the production of Bulgarian rose oil followed by a visit to the 4th century Thracian Kazanlak Tomb. Continue to Etara Open-Air Museum, where you will discover over 300 years of Bulgarian tradition. In the afternoon we arrive in village village of Arbanassi famous for its ancient, richly decorated churches and magnificent architecture. It used to be a residence of the Bulgarian kings. Day 5

Veliko Tarnovo - Ruse - Bucarest

After breakfast you will have a city tour of Veliko Tarnovo with visit to the historical hill Tsarevets with the Fortress, the Patriarchal church and the Emperor Baldwin's Tower. 

Then departure to the Rusenski Lom River Valley. Visit Rock Churches of Ivanovo (XII-XIV c) – an UNESCO object, famous for its unique frescoes.

In the afternoon we will cross the Danube and will drive to Bucharest

Accommodation and overnight in the hotel. 



Day 6

Bucarest - Sibiu

After breakfast we will have a Panoramic tour of the Romanian capital – the Royal Palace, the University’s Library, the City-Hall and other interesting sights of the city also called “the little Paris” because of the similar architecture style of the buildings. We will visit also the inside of Parliament Palace – the second largest building by surface area in the world after the pentagon in USA.

Then departure through the Carpathian Mountains to Sibiu and the Oltului Valley – the most spectacular river valley in Romania. In the afternoon we arrive in the biggest medieval city in Romania – Sibiu. After check-in the hotel, direct on the pedestrian street, we take a city tour in Sibiu/Hermannstadt - the European Cultural Capital 2007. We will visit, among others the Evangelical Church, the Council Tower, The large and the Small Square, the Liars' Bridge, the Brukenthal Palace. Dinner and overnight in Sibiu.


Day 7

Sibiu - Biertan - Sighisoara - Bran (château de Dracula) - Brasov

In the morning we departure to Sighisoara via Biertan. In Biertan we will visit the fortified church, which previously used o be the Bishops' residence for more than 300 years. Biertan - one of the most important Saxon villages with fortified churches (XV-XVI century) in Transylvania, having been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1993. Then we drive to Sighisoara (Schässburg) one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Romania – a UNESCO city. City tour of Sighisoara with visit of the Citadel - a 12th century Saxon edifice located in the historic center of the city. Still occupied, the citadel is listed as a World Heritage Site. Here we visit the city and see the main touristic objectives of the so called "Rothenburg ob der Taube from Transylvania": the Clock Tower (inside visit too), the Covered Staircase, Dracula's birth house, the Church on the Hill. 

Lunch at the famous restaurant «Vlad Drakula», located in the same house where the popular character of the British writer Bram Stoker was born. In the afternoon departure to Bran village, where the world-famous Dracula castle is located. It is the most curious part of the trip in Romania, which attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world.

Day 8

Brasov - Sinaia - Bucarest

Breakfast. City tour of Brasov - a medieval city, founded in 12-th century. Sightseeing tour of the really good preserved historical city center with the big square, the old city-hall, and the Black Church - the main Gothic style monument in the country. 

In the afternoon – departure to the mountain resort Sinaia, also called "the pearl of the Carpathian Mountains". Visit to the Peles Castle, constructed in 1873 as a summer residence of the Romanian royal family. You can see a rich collection of old furniture, carpets, weapons and armors. Return back to Bucharest. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in Bucharest.


Day 9

Bucarest

Your tour concludes after breakfast with a departure transfer for your onward journey.

The Travel Agency CARPATHIAN TRAVEL CENTER is an inbound TOUR OPERATOR and has its head office in Sibiu, Piata Mare nr. 12, Romania.

The company is registered as SOUTH CARPATHIAN TRAVEL CENTER’12 S.R.L. at the Romaninan Chamber of Comerce under the number J32/1110/2012, and has the VAT number RO22333952. The company has the Tourism Licence no. 4694, issued by the National Tourism Authority. The company has a insolvency insurance of USD 50.000,00. The Insurance Policy number is H24934/22.01.2016 issued by "OMNIASIG S.A." 

CARPATHIAN TRAVEL CENTER is represented by the General Manager Mr. Alexandru Ujupan with the Tourism Certificate no. 10777 issued by Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism.

A. TERMS OF BOOKINGS
1. Booking requests shall be made by sending a complete Booking Form (in English, German, French or Polish) with all details of the client 

2. All reservations are subject to availability. The Tour Operator is obliged to send a written confirmation or refusal to the Tourist within 48 hours of a previewed booking.

3. The Tour Operator reserves the right to cancel the booking, despite of a written confirmation within 48 hours without giving any reason.

4. If the payment is not received on time as per clause B.1. and C.1. the Tour Operator may cancel the booking.

5. The Tour Operator reserves the right to alter the travel services, which do not affect the confirmed standard of the trip. The Tour Operator will notify in writing and obtain binding acceptance of these changes from the Tourist before the tour/trip starts.

6. After making the payment of the total amount, the Tour Operator must send within 24 hours the vouchers and all travel documents, that the Toursit needs for the trip.

B. TERMS OF PAYMENT FOR INDIVIDUAL TOURISTS (1 – 9 PERSONS)
1. The Tour Operator must receive 30% of all payment within seven (7) days after sending the written confirmation of booking. The rest of 70% will be forwarded to the Tour Operator at least 14 days before the beginning of the tour/trip .

2. The Tourists who booked Last-Minute-Tours shall pay the whole amount at least 3 days before the beginning of the tour. The Tourist shall send a proof of payment by fax or email to the Tour Operator to confirm his/her booking.

3. In case the Tour Operator does not receive the agreed sum of money from the Tourist, the Tourist can not use the travel services anymore.

4. When making the payment The Tourist shall indicate the particular travel services he wants to pay for, or the number of the Booking Confirmation / Invoice

5. The Tourist is obliged to a pay fine of 0,2% of the total agreed amount per day for delay in payment.

6. You will support the commission of bank transfer or commission of charging the credit card, the Travel Agency have to receive the amount indicate on the invoice.

7. For charging Your credit card, we will add a 2% fee (bank taxes) to the total amount.

C. TERMS OF PAYMENT FOR GROUPS (from 10 PERSONS)
1. The Tour Operator must receive 30% of all payment within seven (7) days after sending the written confirmation of booking. The rest of 70% will be forwarded to the Tour Operator at least 30 days before the beginning of the tour/trip .

2. The Groups who booked Last-Minute-Tours shall pay the whole amount at least 3 days before the beginning of the tour. The Promotor / Tour Leader shall send a proof of payment by fax or email to the Tour Operator to confirm his/her booking.

3. In case the Tour Operator does not receive the agreed sum of money from the Tourist, the Tourist can not use the travel services anymore.

4. When making the payment The Tourist shall indicate the particular travel services he wants to pay for, or the number of the Booking Confirmation / Invoice

5. The Tourist is obliged to a pay fine of 0,2% of the total agreed amount per day for delay in payment.

6. You will support the commission of bank transfer or commission of charging the credit card, the Travel Agency have to receive the amount indicate on the invoice.

D. TERMS OF CANCELLATIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL TOURISTS (1 – 9 PERSONS)
If the Tourist cancels the reservation, the Tour Operator has to apply the following cancellation rules:

30 - 15 days before arrival date - 10% of the total amount penalty
14 - 8 days before arrival date - 50% of the total amount penalty
7 - 3 days before arrival date - 75% of the total amount penalty
less than 2 day before arrival date - 100% penalty of the total amount
If the you will make “No show” we will charge 100% of the total amount

E. TERMS OF CANCELLATIONS FOR GROUPS (from 10 PERSONS)
1. If the Tourist cancels the reservation, the Tour Operator has to apply the following cancellation rules:

1. Cancellation until 24 hrs before departure = 0% (are free of charge)

2. Cancellation after 24 hrs before departure = 50% chargable

3. No shows = 50% chargeable


The Tourist can change and reduce the number of the rooms accordingly:

45 - 31 days before arrival date - 40% of the capacity without penalty
30 - 16 days before arrival date - 20% of the capacity without penalty
15 - 9 days before arrival date - 10% of the capacity without penalty
less than 8 days before arrival date - 0% of the capacity without penalty
G. HIGHER FORCES
1. In case of partial or complete modification of the contract, caused by unpredictable events such as fire, war, natural disasters, or any other unpredicted disasters, as well as legal actions taken by the state, which may have an impact on the fulfillment of the contract, the parties are not responsible for this agreement.

2. In case of unforeseen forces, the Tour Operator returns all the funds except for its actual expenses incurred till the moment they has occurred.

3. The part which is unable to fulfill its responsibilities because of unforeseen forces is obliged to inform the other part immediately- not later than 3 days from the moment the unforeseen forces occurred. If the other part does not inform about the unforeseen forces, the agreement shall remain in full forces and effect and it will not release the other part from the liabilities of this agreement.

H. LEGAL JURISDICTION AND GOVERNING LAW
1. Alternations to this agreement have to be made written in order to become valid. No oral supplementary agreement is valid.

2. This Agreement shall be governed, construed, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the Romanian Laws.

3. Any dispute or matters, which arise between the Tourist and the Tour Operator, will be dealt by the Sibiu Court of Law.
