Le trek du col Chola de l'Everest est une forme étendue du trek du camp de base de l'Everest. Il s'agit d'un trek aventureux à part entière qui vous emmène au-dessus des routes exigeantes de l'Himalaya au Népal. Outre les sensations fortes que procure la traversée du col de Chola (5300 m), qui vous offre une vue splendide sur l'astronomique mont Everest, vous aurez également l'occasion de découvrir la culture sherpa, ses traditions uniques et son mode de vie extraordinaire dans l'Himalaya. Le trek du col Chola de l'Everest comprend également les délicates et pittoresques vallées de Gokyo, tout en vous offrant des vues magnifiques sur les montagnes, les glaciers de la mer Égée et les lacs sacrés de Gokyo le long des sentiers.
En volant de Katmandou à Lukla, vous commencerez votre trekking en traversant des étendues luxuriantes et vibrantes de forêts alpines émeraude, en traversant des rivières serpentines qui marquent la continuité de la terre avec leur essence pour atteindre Namche Bazaar. Le sentier traverse également le parc national de Sagarmatha, une zone conservatoire qui compte des kilomètres de feuillages épais et magnifiques et des habitations d'une faune unique que vous pouvez apercevoir en la traversant. En arrivant à Namche Bazaar, le célèbre centre de la région du Khumbu et la porte d'entrée de l'Everest, vous aurez une vue magnifique sur les montagnes telles que le mont Everest, le mont Ama Dablam, le mont Lhotse, le mont Thamserku et le mont Nuptse, parmi beaucoup d'autres. De Namche, vous partirez en randonnée vers Tengboche et visiterez l'insaisissable monastère de Tengboche, richement décoré et orné de drapeaux de prière colorés et de peintures murales. Le monastère est l'épicentre religieux de la région du Khumbu et l'un des plus grands monastères bouddhistes de la région. Le monastère de Tengboche offre également des vues séduisantes sur les montagnes, la flèche dorée du monastère contrastant avec le bleu marine du ciel et l'ivoire de la neige.
Le trek de l'Everest Chola Pass vous permet également de marcher le long du glacier du Khumbu pour atteindre le camp de base de l'Everest, tout en profitant de vues majestueuses sur les montagnes colossales qui vous accompagnent. La vue panoramique sur les montagnes comme l'Everest, le Nuptse, le Lhotse, le Pumori et le Chagatse, entre autres, depuis le point d'observation de Kala Patthar, est l'un des plus beaux spectacles que l'on puisse voir !

Jour 1 : Arrivée à l'aéroport international de Tribhuwan, Katmandou.

Jour 2 : Vol pour Lukla et trekking pour Phakding (2652m/8699ft), Durée : 3 heures
We will fly to Lukla from Kathmandu today; it is a short, but very beautiful, experience. Lukla, lying at the height of 2810m, is the initial destination from where our trek starts. With an easy walk, we will pass through a village- Chaurikharka. We will then walk to the Dudh Koshi Ghat, from where we will follow the shore of the Dudh Koshi River in order to get to Phakding (2652m). Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 3 : Trek vers Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft), Durée : 6 heures
We will, on this day too, follow the Dudh Koshi River which takes you to Zamphuti. From here, you can see exceptional vistas of the Thamserku Peak. We will also pass by Chomoa, where we can see majority of people spending their lives depending on agriculture. Then after, we will move uphill and go into the Sagarmatha National Park which conserves lots of wild lives and plants, covering the area of 1148sq km in Monjo. Continuing further, we will finally reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 4 : Namche Bazar - Everest View Hotel - Retour
At Namche Bazaar, we will acclimatize for a day to avoid altitude sickness. We will also climb to Everest View Hotel and experience short hiking on the day. Everest View Hotel presents wonderful vistas of Everest, Ama Dablam and many more. We will also stroll to the Khumjung village where we can visit the monastery. We will, after that, walk back to Namche again. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 5 : Trek vers Tengboche (3860m/12660ft), Durée : 5 heures
We will leave Namche Bazaar and stroll for some time along the edges of the settlement, and then move down to Dudh Koshi River in Phungki Thanka. We will walk across the river via a bridge and then ascend on the steep trail up to Tengboche where we will get to see wonderful peak views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku and many more. In Tengboche, you will visit the largest monastery of the Khumbu region named after the place- the Tengboche monastery. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 6 : Trek jusqu'à Dingboche (4410m/14464ft), Durée : 5 heures
On this day, we will start trekking along the rhododendron woods to Deboche. We will also pass through the jovially intense Imja River by means of a suspension bridge. We will also walk into Pangboche village, the biggest community inhabited mainly by Sherpa people, where we can visit Pangboche monastery, one of an ancient monasteries in the region. We will have fairly demanding walk in the afternoon as the surroundings turns dry and isolated before reaching Dingboche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 7 : De Dingboche à Nagerjun (5100m/16728ft) et retour
We will have one more rest day to acclimatize properly. Your body will need rest and rejuvenation. We will yet experience another short hike to Nagerjun set at the altitude of 5100m. At Nagerjun, the eye-catching views of Toboche Peak (6367m), Kangtega (6685m), Lobuche West (6145m), Thamserku (6608m), Lobuche East (6119m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) are hypnotizing. Then, we will come back to Dingboche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 8 : Trek vers Lobuche (4910m/16105ft), Durée : 5 heures
On this day, we will leave Dingboche and get to Dugla- set at the tip of the Khumbu Glacier. With a vertical and short climb up, we will stroll to Chukpo Lari where we will get to observe memorials built in honor to the ones who lost their lives while climbing Everest. The point also rewards us with a dramatic vista of the peaks. With an easy walk, we will then finally reach Lobuche (4,910m). Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 9 : Trek au camp de base de l'Everest (5364m/17594ft) puis retour à Gorekshep (5181m/16994ft), Durée : 8 heures
We will have an important and rewarding, yet difficult day as we leave Lobuche today. We will walk along the Khumbu Glacier to reach Everest Base Camp lying at the height of 5364 meters. This is the base of the highest peak on earth, Mt. Everest- where you will be rewarded by majestic views of Ama Dablam, Tawache and Everest itself and several other peaks. The sight of the Khumbu Ice fall from here is extremely impressive. We will return back to Gorekshep for the night. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 10 : Randonnée jusqu'à Kala Pathar (5545m/18188ft) - Gorekshep et trek jusqu'à Dzongla (4830m/15840ft), Durée : 7 heures
Hiking to Kala Pathar is another important day of the trek. Kala Patthar lies at the altitude of 5545 meters. The ascent is quite challenging but the superb mountain panorama of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Chagatse, and innumerable others will take away the entire tiring experience once you reach at the apex. We will then descend to Gorakshep and then trek upward to Dzongla which is located at the height of 4830m. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 11 : Trek vers Dragnak/Thangna (4700m/15415ft) via le col de Cho La (5420m/17780ft), Durée : 7 heures
We will, on this day, begin walking on a flat stony path and also walk through the barren valley. Then, we move up in the vertical path to Chola pass which is set at the height of 5420m. We will also pass the icy path along Chola glacier before traversing the pass. From Chola pass, we will move down through the rock-strewn path before we arrive at Phedi. From Phedi, we will walk down to Thangna, a small village holding some lodges and tea shops. Thangna also rewards you with the peak views like Machhermo peak and some others. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 12 : Trek vers les lacs Gokyo (4790m/15710ft), Durée : 2-3 heures.
We will trek for around 3 hours from Thangna today to reach the holy Gokyo Lake which lies at the altitude of 4790m. You will be passing along series of Gokyo lakes in synchrony- Longpongo, Toboche Tsho and Dudh Pokhari, before discovering Gokyo. You can also explore the stunning Gokyo valley. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 13 : Randonnée jusqu'à Gokyo RI (5483m/19083ft) et trek jusqu'à Dole (4200m/13775), Durée : 7 heures
On this day, we will hike to Gokyo RI lying at the height of 5483m, which lies over the village in the northern side of Gokyo Lake. From the crest of Gokyo RI, we can see the stunning views of highest mountains like Everest, Makalu, and Lhotse. The superb views of the upper Gokyo valley, as well as the massive Ngozumpa Glacier, will also allure us. We will also walk down to Gokyo and trek to Dole set at 4200m following the Dudh Koshi River. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 14 : Trek vers Namche (3440m/11285ft), Durée : 6 heures
We will, on this day, trek from Dole to Namche Bazaar, which takes approximately 6 hours. You will also traverse the Khumjung village en-route to Namche Bazaar. We will walk along the trail, passing the views of the astonishing Ama Dablam and then finally reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 15 : Trekking jusqu'à Lukla (2800m/9184ft), Durée : 7 heures
From Namche, we will walk ahead and traverse the Dudh Koshi River again. After that, we will walk to Monjo. Trekking ahead from Namche Bazaar, we will reach Phakding and carry on walking to Lukla. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Jour 16 : Vol de retour vers Katmandou
With a short and picturesque flight, we will go back from Lukla to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the hotel from Tribhuwan International Airport. Overnight stay at the hotel. Breakfast included.
Jour 17 : Journée de détente
This is a spare day you will spend in Kathmandu. You can either walk around Kathmandu or go for shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Jour 16 : Adieu
Today, the airport representative from Escape Himalaya will help you transfer to the Tribhuwan International Airport. And, you will leave Nepal, hopefully with beautiful memories of your trip.

General Booking Conditions
For Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan Tours: Provide us a photocopy of your passport and 20% of trip cost as a deposit while booking your trip with us. The deposit amount is nonrefundable.
Risk and Liabilities
All the Nepal, China and Bhutan Tours are conducted under the strict rules and regulations of the tourism board of the respective countries. We are not liable for any changes or cancellations of the trip under unavoidable circumstances like the change in rules and regulations of Country, Government restrictions, natural disasters, political instability and cancellation of flights, delays, sickness or accident and breakdown of vehicles. Any extra cost incurred due to such circumstances shall be borne by the clients themselves. Therefore, Travel Insurance is mandatory.
Last Minute Booking
We accept last minute bookings. You can book a trip to Nepal 7 days prior to the trip departure dates. Last minute booking may not be acceptable in the cases of Bhutan or Tibet Trips.
Postponing the Trip
A written notice should be sent to us 30 days prior to the trip departure date.
In case of postponing of Nepal Tour, minimum USD 150 will be charged as a current trip cancellation charge and the remaining amount will be transferred for the postponed trip.
In case of postponing of Tibet and Bhutan Tour, a trip cancellation charge will be charged as per the trending market rate of those countries. It solely depends upon the ongoing policy of our agents in Tibet and Bhutan. For now, 20% of trip costs and 50% of trip costs will be charged in case of postponing of Bhutan and Tibet Trip respectively.
Trip Cancellation (Nepal)
In case you intend to cancel your trip for any reasons, you need to write it to us 14 days prior to your trip departure date. We shall approve it as canceled only after receiving a valid written notice from the client. If the reason for your cancellation is genuine like injury or serious illness, you can postpone your trip or transfer your booking to another person who meets all the requirements for the trip. However, a fee of USD 150 per person will be charged if you postpone or transfer your trip within 15 days prior to your trip date. As per our policy, the deposit amount is non-refundable, therefore, you can utilize the amount to book a trip with Escape Himalaya next time.
Trip Cancellation (Bhutan)
A valid written notice of cancellation should be provided 30 days prior to your trip departure date. In case you cancel your Bhutan Tour, 20% of the trip cost will be charged as a cancellation charge (even in case of postponing or transfer of a trip to another person). The remaining amount will remain secured with Escape Himalaya as a deposit from you. You can utilize it to book the tour with Escape Himalaya next time. The amount is non-refundable.
Trip Cancellation (Tibet)
A valid written notice of cancellation should be provided 30 days prior to your trip departure date. In case you cancel your Tibet tour, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as a cancellation charge (even in case of postponing or transfer of a trip to another person). The remaining amount will remain secured with Escape Himalaya as a deposit from you. You can utilize it to book the tour with Escape Himalaya next time. The amount is non-refundable.
Incomplete Tour
We are not liable for any refunds in cases of any incomplete tour, trek or expedition whatever the reason.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If your trip gets canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances like natural disasters, war or unfavorable climatic conditions, we will arrange another trip for you. Thus, even if your trip isn’t the one you chose, your money will not go in vain.
Price Changing
We reserve our rights to change the price under various circumstances. Though our action will be reasonably pertaining to cases of some circumstances such as the drastic change in exchange rate, inflation, government actions, and others, we are not liable to answer to anyone for our action.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance package to all our clients. The insurance must cover all the medical expense, personal accident, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation, loss of gears and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects and helicopter services in the mountains.
Flight Delay/Cancellation
Flight delays and cancellation tend to happen quite often during bad weather conditions in remote areas, particularly in the Everest region, the Annapurna region, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla region. Therefore, it is advisable to carry some extra money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. Escape Himalaya will not be responsible for any of the additional expenses. Therefore, please plan accordingly.
Your Personal Belongings
We are not liable for any damage or loss of your luggage or property. They are at your own risk.
During the Tour
In case you commit any unlawful act during your tour and you are compelled to leave Nepal, Escape Himalaya is not liable for any kind of refunds.
