Private 8-Days Morocco Tour From Casablanca

After breakfast at the hotel, your 8-day Morocco tour from Casablanca start by a short visit to the Hassan Il Mosque (the second largest mosque in Africa). It sits directly on a promontory in Casablanca, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco and one of the four royal sites. Here, we visit the Hassan Tower, the mausoleum of Mohammed V and the historic Kasbah of Oudaya, which is completed by a small medieval Andalusian-style village. Later we drive north to Chefchaouen. Towards the end of the afternoon/evening, we reach the small, cozy artists' town Là-bas, the picturesque village of Chefchaouen, in the middle of the Rif mountains, where we'll take you to your accommodation. Perhaps there's still time for a stroll through the little medina, which boasts numerous galleries with beautiful, colorful works of art. Toady, pick you up from your riad in the morning after breakfast.Then on the way to Fes, we stop at Volubilis, a century Roman colony, with its well-preserved arches, basins, wall remains and mosaics. Our journey we'll stroll around the ancient fortress walls and see some beautiful parks. A stop for lunch, we drive to Fez, we'll transfer you to your accommodation - a traditional riad.

Fez similar to Marrakech, after breakfast today begins with a city tour, with your local guide picking you up from ur Riad, begin your tour of this city steeped in history, with its immense ramparts and imposing golden gateway leading to the royal palace.  Visit the tanneries, the Medersa Al Attarine, the Nejjarine fountain and probably the oldest university in the world: Al-Qarawīyīn Medina with its narrow streets, spice stalls, Berber carpets, traditional crafts and much more is of course also on the program. After lunch in a typical local restaurant, return to your riad for the night.

After breakfast drive to Merzouga Sahara Desert, lies ahead, through Moroccan Switzerland. It's green (or white in winter). Will be crossing the Ifrane National Park, with one of Morocco's largest cedar forests. If we're lucky, we'll meet the famous Barbary macaques that have migrated to Gibraltar. Then cross the Atlas Mountains again - the Middle Atlas - and stop not only for a snack, but also to take a short break at some breathtaking viewpoints. It's back down the other side of the mountains to Erfoud / Merzouga. The first contact with the golden sand dunes are already rising, included a sunset camel ride over the dunes awaits you. Please don't forget to bring your camera to capture this special moment.

We'll pick you up after your leisurely breakfast. We continue on to Bomalen Dadès. Today, we're already on the route of the 1000 kasbahs - an area that gives an idea of the importance and sometimes controversy of the ancient trade route along the river oases. To right and left, our path is lined with half-ruined castles (kasbahs) or ancient villages. We encounter bizarre rock formations and wide oasis valleys.

First, we stop at a unique gorge: the Todgha Gorge - at 1550 m altitude. It lies in the foothills of the High Atlas and begins in the Berber town of Tinghir. Impressive to see how far up the rocky walls of this narrow gorge with its bubbling crystal-clear water rise! We'll also take a short tour of the Dades Gorge before taking you to your accommodation in Bomalen Dades.

Today, we return to Marrakech. But until then, there's still plenty to discover. We drive through the Valley of the Roses. Here, the local offerings will make herbalists' hearts beat faster. Rose perfume. Soap. Body cream. Even the precious essential oil can be purchased here at a reasonable price. We continue on to Ouarzazate, Morocco's film metropolis. Fittingly, our next stop is the “Ksar Aît Benhaddou” (Ksar = colony).

This enchanting, still-original site in an ancient clay construction has already served as the backdrop for many well-known films (most recently “The Game of Thrones”). Now it rises above the Atlas Mountains. At 2260 m altitude Tizi-n-Tichka (Tizi (Berber) = pass), we stop and enjoy the breathtaking panorama, before heading back down to the plain towards Marrakech. Depending on your departure time, we'll take you directly to your hotel/riad.
