Día 1

Vancouver - Victoria

Pick up your separately booked campervan or motorhome in the Vancouver area. You then continue by ferry (not included) to Vancouver Island. 2 nights in Victoria. Approx. 105 km.
The city impresses visitors with its Victorian buildings and maritime flair. When strolling through Victoria's city center with its colonial-style buildings, you should not miss the harbor area. Here you will find the Parliament Building of the Province of British Columbia from 1897, which is well worth seeing, as well as the Fairmont Empress Hotel, a historic castle hotel built as a railroad hotel by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Afterwards, it is worth taking a stroll through the English-style gardens, such as Butchart Gardens or Beacon Hill Park, which is also home to what was once the largest totem pole in the world.
Follow the coastline along the east coast to Nanaimo, the second largest city on Vancouver Island. Due to its location on one of the longest stretches of coastline in Canada, there are plenty of activities on or near the water (all optional). How about a boat tour, for example, to get to know the marine flora and fauna? With a bit of luck, you might spot whales, dolphins, seals or even turtles. Alternatively, take a paddle tour to explore the harbor and small bays of the regional rivers and enjoy the magnificent sunset. One night in Nanaimo. Approx. 110 km.
Today you continue towards the west coast. On the way you will pass the largest lake on Vancouver Island, Kennedy Lake. You can also view various waterfalls on your way to your destination for the day, Ucluelet. 2 nights in Ucluelet. Approx. 180 km.
Today is at your leisure. Ucluelet is connected to the village of Tofino by Long Beach, a kilometer-long stretch of beach as part of the Pacific Rim National Park. The many kilometers of sandy beach are only interrupted by wooded hilltops. In addition to a walk along the beach, you can hike and explore the moss-covered rainforest of the Pacific Rim National Park, e.g. on the Rainforest Trail, or even go bear spotting.
You travel along the scenic Oceanside Route. You will pass beautiful harbors and beaches along the way. 2 nights in Campbell River. Approx. 245 km.
Today you can explore the self-proclaimed "salmon capital". In the nearby Elk Falls Provincial Park, you can marvel at the 25-metre-high Elk Falls waterfall.
Make a stop at Seal Bay Nature Park on the way and hike to the sea lion beach. Ferry crossing Comox - Powell River (not included in the tour price). 2 nights in Lund (Powell River). Approx. 85 km.
The Sunshine Coast is known for its countless bays and sandy beaches. Explore various provincial parks or relax in tranquil lagoons.
Continue south along the Sunshine Coast. Take the ferry (not included) from Saltery Bay to Earls Cove and the small coastal town of Sechelt. One night in Sechelt. Approx. 105 km.
After the ferry ride from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay (not included), head inland until you finally reach the renowned ski resort of Whistler, which also offers sports enthusiasts a wide range of activities in summer. The well-known Mountain Bike Park is popular with beginners and advanced mountain bikers of all levels. Enjoy the view of the impressive mountain landscape on an alpine hiking tour or on a leisurely gondola ride. Alternatively, Whistler invites you to take a relaxed tour on foot, where you can explore the local stores and round off the day in a restaurant or bar. One night in Whistler. Approx. 150 km.
Continue along clear mountain lakes to Lillooet. Enjoy the view of Seton Lake on one of the most scenic train rides along the lakeshore, which is framed by mountains. One night in Lillooet. Approx. 130 km.
The route takes you along the Gold Rush Trail and past various provincial parks. 2 nights in Clearwater. Approx. 295 km.
This day is at your leisure. In the Wells Gray Provincial Park nature reserve, you can take a canoe trip on Clearwater Lake or let yourself be carried away by Helmcken Falls, the fourth highest waterfall in Canada.
Today you will pass the highest mountain in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Mount Robson, in the Provincial Park of the same name. 2 nights in Jasper. Approx. 320 km.
Jasper National Park was founded in 1907 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. Encounter moose, black bears and the trusting wapitis in the largest national park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Drive along the spectacular Icefields Parkway to the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. One night in Cline River. Approx. 245 km.
With a bit of luck, you might spot one of the black or grizzly bears that are native to this region. Alternatively, you can also take the Ice Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier. The Glacier Skywalk, a bridge with a glass floor, offers the perfect viewing platform. 2 nights in Banff. Approx. 230 km.
Take a tour of one of Canada's oldest national parks. Take the cable car up Sulphur Mountain or take a trip to the glacial lake Lake Louise.
On the last day, drive to the largest city in the province of Alberta, which hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics. Drop off your campervan or motorhome in the morning. Individual or start of your connecting stay. Approx. 150 km.
