Experience Yellowstone & Teton National Parks as few others do.

Winter is a wonderful time to experience Yellowstone & Teton with fascinating snowy landscapes, and frosty animals. Geyser basins are magical when influenced by cold temperatures, becoming what one might call, canvases of fire and ice. As the snow drapes a wintry blanket a peace settles over the landscape and becomes a frost-covered wonderland. Our winter experience offers incredible photography and wildlife watching. Join this singles weekend and enjoy a Winter Safari getaway through two National Parks.

Tour program

Day 1

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Arrive at the Jackson Hole Airport and make your way to the group's hotel, the Wort Hotel, built in 1941, this stately, upscale Old West-style hotel is a 2-minute walk from central Jackson. Arrive early and discover the amazing scenery, eclectic shopping, art galleries and an array of superb restaurants, all within walking distance.

Tonight meet and greet with your singles group leader and fellow single travelers and enjoy dinner at the the Silver Dollar Grill next to the Silver Dollar Showroom, located inside the Silver Dollar Bar inside our hotel and features weekly music from local and regional bands

With thousands of animals taking refuge in the Jackson Hole valley, winter is one of the best times of year to observe the wildlife of Grand Teton National Park with experienced guides. Using heated 4x4 safari style vehicles we'll visit the best wildlife hotspots of the valley, searching for moose, elk, bison, bighorn sheep, mule deer, wolves, bald eagles, trumpeter swans, and more. Experience the unique and harsh conditions that local wildlife has to endure. Our accomplished guides will educate us and provide a deep understanding of how these creatures coexist and adapt to their physical environments. We advise dressing warmly in layers as well as wearing good snow boots. We sometimes step out of our warm vehicle to witness wildlife and to photograph the stunning scenery.

This afternoon we ride the famous Jackson Hole Aerial Tram located in the Swiss-style Teton Village, better known as the "Vil." Since 1966, the tram has been carrying people to the top of Rendezvous Peak (10,450 ft) in the Teton Range. The Tram offers panoramic views of the Teton Mountains, the town of Jackson, the Snake River Valley, and Grand Teton National Park. Take part in the tradition of delicious waffles atop Rendezvous Peak at Corbet's Cabin. These tasty treats are made-to-order with your choice of toppings (even bacon!), and are the perfect snack.

After our tram we will ride the local bus 12 miles back to Jackson Hole and our hotel. Rest up before we go out for dinner.

Sit back and enjoy the scenery to Old Faithful in comfort as we are being chauffeured by an experienced, knowledgeable guide. Equipped with four oversized low-pressure tires, the snowcoach moves on top of the snow and will give us great views of the park scenery while touring Yellowstone. Our tour will take us to the Old Faithful Geyser making several stops along the way to learn about the Park's history, view thermal features, and take pictures.

Our day begins with an early morning pick up and breakfast will be a grab and go style on the way to Yellowstone. We'll travel 45 miles (one-way) of groomed trail to Old Faithful, making several stops along the way, with opportunities to get out and walk around. Points of interest may include Moose Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls, and West Thumb Geyser Basin. The highlight of our day will be watching Old Faithful erupt as the contrast of the grayish-white steam against the snow and the stunningly blue skies creates a heightened sense of the Earth’s powerful forces. In winter Old Faithful regularly shoots sprays of water more than 100 feet in the air, erupts, the near-boiling water hits the chilly air forming “geyser rain.” Watch as these tiny icy crystals and flakes fall to the ground.

We will return to Jackson Hole just in time to have dinner.

This morning you get to choose between two exciting activities, snow tubing or a sleigh ride.

The thrill of snow tubing is a great winter activity for everyone. There's no special skills or equipment needed. Included in the tour is 2 hours of Snow Tubing. King Tubes has snow tubes, three smooth groomed lanes and a Magic Carpet to take us up the hill. All you need are warm clothes and a need for speed!

The Jackson Hole Visitor Center offers beautiful views onto the National Elk Refuge as well as  indoor interpretive displays. Surrounding wetland and grassland habitat allows for excellent bird and wildlife observation. Glide through Wyoming’s stunning winter landscapes in a horse-drawn sleigh. This is a perfect winter activity to get us into a festive holiday mood. A ride through the National Elk Refuge will get you within 30 feet of majestic elk and we may also see eagles, bison, foxes, and wolves.

This afternoon is free to enjoy Jackson Hole at your own pace. There are many fun things to do if you want to be active like snow mobiling or dog sledding. Taking a short taxi ride to visit the Wildlife Museum is another. Of course eating and shopping are always available or get some rest for tonight we put our Cowboy on.

Tonight we will gather for our Farewell Dinner then we must check out the famous Million Dollar Bar, a unique Western drinking and entertainment venue that was established in 1937. True to its name, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is no ordinary bar. Countless celebrities, presidents, royalty, cowhands, as well as people from all walks of life, have enjoyed great fun within its walls.

Today our singles getaway weekend comes to an end. Make your way to the airport in time for your homeward bound flight. Take with you lots of fond memories of your all too short time in Jackson Hole!
