Panama and Bocas del Toro: From the Canal to Caribbean Islands

­Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and provide transfer to your selected hotel in the vibrant Panama City. Once you’ve checked in, you’ll have free time to relax, explore the surroundings, or start enjoying the first impressions of this fascinating city.

­Our first destination is the historic Casco Antiguo, a cultural gem designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This neighborhood reflects Panama's rich cultural diversity, blending Caribbean, Republican, modern, French, and colonial styles across fewer than 800 buildings. Here, you can visit some of the city's main landmarks, such as the Bolívar Hall, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Theater (founded in 1908), the Las Bóvedas monument, La Merced Church, San Felipe Neri Church, and San José Church with its iconic golden altar, rescued from Panamá Viejo and relocated to the new city. Strolling through its cobblestone streets feels like traveling back in time, surrounded by the area's rich history and vibrant local culture.

We continue our tour at the iconic Panama Canal, specifically at the Miraflores Locks. The Miraflores Visitor Center is the perfect place to learn about this engineering marvel. Here, you can explore its history, understand its operations, and observe up close the transit of ships and the work of the locks. The center features a fully equipped theater, observation terraces, snack bars, a restaurant with panoramic views, a souvenir shop, and exhibition halls with interactive displays, historical pieces, models, and items used in the canal's operations. Admission to the Visitor Center is included.

­Transfer from your hotel to Albrook Airport for a short flight to the island paradise of Bocas del Toro. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Bocas Town.

­Embark on an exciting adventure exploring Dolphin Bay, a lagoon that is home to bottlenose dolphins for most of the year. Boat tours around the islands often stop here, giving you the chance to witness the grace and charm of these magnificent cetaceans in their natural habitat.

Continue your experience by diving into the fascinating world of Coral Cay. This cay, with its crystal-clear waters and colorful coral reefs, invites you to immerse yourself in the underwater beauty of Bocas del Toro. Take the opportunity to snorkel and marvel at the diverse marine life that inhabits this unique ecosystem.

Your adventure continues at the idyllic Red Frog Beach, located on the beautiful Bastimentos Island. Known for its outstanding beauty and easy accessibility, it offers the perfect spot to relax under the sun on its soft white sand. It is also a wildlife haven, where you might spot nesting sea turtles (in season), sloths, playful monkeys, and especially the tiny Red Frog, a unique species native to the region.

­Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Panama City. After a private transfer to your hotel, check into your hotel for a last night in the capital.
