Itinerary

Manaslu Trek is one of the most popular and sought-after treks in Nepal. It is located in the Gorkha district of Nepal and offers an exciting journey through some of the most impressive natural landscapes in the region. This walk is also a great way to experience the local culture and traditions of the people of the area.


Starting from Kathmandu and ending in Pokhara, the Manaslu Trek covers a distance of around 177 kilometers and usually takes around 13-16 days to complete. The trail takes you through some of the most stunning natural scenery, including lush forests, mountain passes, and quaint villages.


The trek starts with a morning drive from Kathmandu to Arughat which takes around 8-9 hours. From there you will start your tour on foot, crossing suspension bridges and passing through small villages and rice fields. You will also get to witness the beauty of the Budhi Gandaki River as it meanders through the countryside.


The most popular route for the Manaslu Trek is the Manaslu Circuit Trek, which takes you through some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the region. You will traverse the Larkya La pass, which offers spectacular views of the Manaslu range, and you will also have the opportunity to explore the ancient monasteries and local villages along the way.

Day 1

Kathmandu to Arughat (608m)

The trek starts with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Arughat, which takes around 8-9 hours. The road winds through beautiful countryside and passes through small towns and villages. After reaching Arughat, you can explore the village and interact with the locals.

Day 2

Arughat to Soti Khola (710m)


710m meters

The trek starts along the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through lush green forests and terraced fields. You will cross the river over a suspension bridge and climb up a steep trail to reach Soti Khola.

Day 3

Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m)


900m meters

After breakfast, we will begin our trek to Machha Khola, which takes approximately 6-7 hours. The trail continues along the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through beautiful waterfalls and forests. You will cross several suspension bridges and climb up and down steep trails before reaching Machha Khola.

Day 4

Machha Khola to Jagat (1410m)


1410m meters

On the fourth day, we will trek to Jagat, which takes approximately 6-7 hours. The trail follows the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through small villages and rice paddies. You will cross the river over a suspension bridge and climb up a steep trail to reach Jagat.

Day 5

Jagat to Deng (1804m)


1804 meters

The trail climbs up and down through beautiful forests and small villages. On the fifth day, we will trek to Deng, which takes approximately 6-7 hours. The trail climbs up and down through beautiful forests and small villages.

Day 6

Deng to Namrung (2630m)


2630m meters

The trail continues through beautiful forests and small villages. You will climb up a steep trail to reach Namrung, which offers stunning views of the Manaslu range.

Day 7

Namrung to Samagaon (3530m)


3530m meters

The trail climbs up through beautiful forests and small villages. You will cross several suspension bridges and climb up a steep trail before reaching Samagaon.

Day 8

Rest day in Samagaon


You will spend a day in Samagaon to acclimatize to the altitude and explore the village. You can hike to the Manaslu Base Camp or explore the nearby monasteries.

Day 9

Samagaon to Samdo (3860m)


3860m meters

The trail climbs up through beautiful forests and small villages. You will cross several suspension bridges and climb up a steep trail before reaching Samdo.

Day 10

Trek to Dharamsala (4460m)


4460m meters

On the tenth day, we will trek to Dharamsala, which takes approximately 4-5 hours. The trail offers beautiful views of the Manaslu range and scenic villages.

Day 11

Trek to Bhimthang (3720m) via Larkya La Pass (5160m)

On the eleventh day, we will trek to Bhimthang via Larkya La Pass, which takes approximately 8-9 hours. The trail offers beautiful views of the Manaslu range and scenic landscape.

Day 12

Trek to Tilije (2300m)


2300m meters

On the twelfth day, we will trek to Tilije, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. The trail passes through beautiful villages and scenic landscape.

Day 13

Trek to Dharapani (1860m) and drive back to Kathmandu


1860 meters

On the final day, we will trek to Dharapani, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. We will then drive back to Kathmandu
