Day 1

Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1470m) approx. 6 hours drive.


Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Kathmandu. After a hearty breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang Valley. The drive is approximately 6 hours, winding through picturesque landscapes and charming villages. Syabrubesi's relaxed ambiance welcomes you to this trekking adventure.


 

Day 2

Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m). Walk approx. 5 hours.


The trek officially commences as you set out from Syabrubesi to Gatlang, your first destination on this longer itinerary. Along the way, you'll discover the natural beauty and Tamang culture that defines this region.

Day 3

Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m). Walk approx. 5-6 hours.


As you continue your journey, you'll trek from Gatlang to Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs. A soothing soak in these therapeutic waters is the perfect way to relax after a day on the trail.

Day 4

Tatopani – Nagthali – Thuman (2338m). Walk approx. 7-8 hours


Today, you'll embrace a more challenging day as you ascend to Nagthali, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The trek then descends to Thuman, a village with a rich cultural heritage.

Day 5

Thuman to Sherpa Gaun (2563m)


A leisurely day as you make your way to Sherpa Gaun, a picturesque village offering insights into the Sherpa culture.

Day 6

Sherpa Gaon to Langtang (3430m). Approximately 6-7 hours


This day promises lush forests, scenic trails, and awe-inspiring mountain vistas as you make your way to Langtang, a significant milestone in your trek.

Day 7

Langtang - Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) about 3 - 4 hours


A shorter trekking day as you ascend to Kyanjin Gompa, a tranquil haven amidst the stunning alpine surroundings.

Day 8

Extra day at Kyanjin Gumpa, excursion to Tsergo Ri (4985m) for stunning view.


An additional day for exploration and a possible climb to Tsergo Ri, where you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Langtang range.

Day 9

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2324m) - 5-6 Hours


Descending back to Lama Hotel, you'll retrace your steps through the diverse landscapes of the Langtang Valley.

Day 10

Lamahotel to Syabrubesi (1400m). 6 hours walk.


Your final day of trekking leads you back to Syabrubesi, where your journey began.

Day 11

Drive to Kathmandu


The Langtang Valley Trek via the Tamang Heritage Trail concludes with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, allowing you to reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you've gathered during this extended adventure.
