Itinerary

We have prepared an attractive and original proposal for this Christmas: Christmas spirit on the Danube. Enjoying a cup of mulled wine, trying culinary specialties or even taking a ride on ice skates on the outdoor slopes, - are some of the activities not to be missed visiting old Europe at Christmas.

Tour program

Day 1

Vienna

Boarding at the river port from 16:00 (Nussdorf area). Accommodation in the cabins. Night stopover. Overnight on board.

Day 2

Vienna

Full board on board. After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic tour (no entrances included) of the most important sights of the capital of Austria: the Opera House, the City Hall, the Parliament, the Burgtheater and the splendid Hofburg Imperial Palace. Spend the afternoon,  exploring the city at your own pace. In the evening, the ship will leave the Austrian capital and sail in the direction of Melk. Overnight on board.

Day 3

Melk and Durnstein

Full board on board. Today we will arrive in Melk, a small town located in the heart of the impressive Wachau Valley. It is world-famous for the Benedictine Abbey perched atop a rock overlooking the river. At noon, the boat sets sail for Dürnstein where we arrive after lunch. Dürnstein is a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau valley with a medieval castle. From the pier you can directly access the historic city centre on foot, passing through the medieval city gates and reaching Pranger Square. From here a beautiful view opens up over the ruins of the castle, famous for being the place where Richard the Lionheart was supposedly imprisoned. In the afternoon, enjoy the landscapes offered by the wonderful Wachau Valley as we sail to Budapest.  Overnight on board.

Day 4

Budapest

Full board on board. At dinner time, we will arrive in Budapest, capital of Hungary. Enjoy a walk through the night city. Night stopover. vernight on board.

Day 5

Budapest

Full board on board. Budapest is divided by the mighty Danube into two parts: traditional "Buda" and cosmopolitan "Pest". Enjoy our guided tour (no entrances included) of the most important sights of the Hungarian capital: the Parliament, the Opera House, Heroes' Square, the Market, the Chain Bridge and the Fisherman's Bastion with its spectacular views over the city. Night on board. Between 23:00 and 01:00 the ship will be carrying out maneuvers. Departure to Esztergom at 04:00.        

Day 6

Esztergom

Full board on board. Early in the morning we will arrive in Esztergom, the ancient Hungarian capital. It is a small city of 28,000 inhabitants about 45 kilometers from Budapest, famous for housing the largest basilica in the country (larger than St. Stephen's Basilica in the capital), 118 meters high and 49 meters wide, whose construction took 47 years. It was inaugurated in 1869. It is currently the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary. Esztergom was the capital of Hungary between the 10th and 13th centuries, before moving to Buda. In the early afternoon we set sail for Bratislava. Night on board. (On 25.12 and 01.01 the Basilica will be closed).

Day 7

Bratislava

Full board on board. Our guided tour (no entrances included) will take you through the imperial city. You will see, among other fascinating sights, the National Theatre, St. Martin's Cathedral, Michael's Gate, the Old Town Hall, and the impressive rock-top fortress. In the afternoon we set sail for Vienna. In the evening, dinner from the Captain.  Overnight on board.

Day 8

Vienna

Disembarkation after breakfast. End of our services.

Cancellation Terms as of March 10th 2020 

Existing bookings: 

Any cruise with departure date until April 30th 2020 can be credited to any cruise within summer season 2020. 

If the traveller decides to travel in 2021 a EUR€50 per booking management fee will be added. 

Should there be any difference in the season/year tariff and/or cabin category / extra services, the price shall be recalculated according to the tariffs valid for the chosen departure. 

New Bookings

As regards any new bookings made within March 10th, 2020 and May 1st, 2020 for any cruise with departure date until August 31th, 2020 the following cancellation policy will be in effect:

If the traveller decides to cancel his/her cruise up to 21 days prior to the departure date, the cancellation fee is reduced to EUR€50 per booking. This excludes management fees and extra services i. e. flight / train expenses etc. 

Regular Terms & Conditions

Payment: 

- Once booking is done, the non-refundable 20% deposit should be paid; 

- The balance should be paid 30 days before the tour. 

Cancellation policy: 

- up to 69 days before embarkation – 20% of total cruise price;

- 69-60 days before embarkation – 40% of total cruise price;

- 59-50 days before embarkation – 60% of total cruise price;

- 49-30 days before embarkation – 80% of total cruise price;

- 30 days and less – 100% cancellation fee.

Force-major

The program is subject to change if there is some force-major. The following circumstances shall be deemed as a case of extenuating circumstances (force major): war and military actions, acts of mutiny, mobilisation, industrial strikes, epidemics, fire, explosions, fog, storm, ice conditions impending motion of the vessel, traffic accidents, acts of elements, acts of government authorities influencing the fulfilment of the obligations, mechanical damage of the hull or the machinery of the ship through no fault of the Seller, and other circumstances which any competent court shall deem as a case of extenuating circumstances. 

Miscellaneous: 

Passengers should seek advice from their doctor regarding relevant inoculations and prophylactics for travel to the countries visited during the cruise.

Any children under 12 should be accompanied and are responsibility of adults. 1 child/baby per 1 adult in a cabin.

The Buyer shall inform his Clients that neither the ship nor the queues are equipped  for disabled people.

No-show: 

In case of no show of the Buyer’s clients by 23:59 of embarkation day without prior notification about delays via mail or phone the Seller reserves the right to use the client’s cabin at his own convenience.

Tour Details

Accommodation

Cabins are divided across 3 decks and are the same in size of approximately 14m2. All cabins are very spacious and equipped with separable twin beds, satellite TV, safety deposit box, phone, hairdryer, mini bar, individual heating and cooling system, and separate bathroom with individual shower and toilet. 

Accommodation in the chosen cabin:

  • Standard Cabin on Main Deck: Features smaller portholes that cannot be opened.
  • Comfort Cabin on Middle Deck: Equipped with a standard window that can be opened.
  • Deluxe Cabin on Upper Deck: Includes French balconies.

Please, kindly note that SINGLE SUPPLEMENT applies for solo-travelers' bookings. Standard/Comfort cabins +50%, Deluxe Staterooms +100%
