Tour program

Day 1

Arrival at the Airport

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by our Safari representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Overnight will be at your accommodation waiting for your safari on the following day.

Accommodation: Ahadi Lodge

Meal plan: Bed and Breakfast

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it.  This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet!

Accommodation: Tarangire Safari Lodge

 Meal Plan: Full Board

The Tarangire National Park has the highest density of elephants in North Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals. The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python! This area is during the dry season also a haven for bird watchers with over 550 different species including the Masai Ostrich -the world largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken back to your hotel in

Accomodation: Tarangire safari lodge

Meal plan: Full board

Early morning after breakfast, we continue with our en-route drive inside Tarangire National Park before we depart to Ngorongoro. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world.  Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps.

Arriving at our accommodation in the late evening, we will have our dinner and overnight stay at one of our carefully selected lodges.

Accommodation: Manyara Best Lodge

Meal plan: Full Board

After early breakfast, you will descend down the crater which is almost 600m deep.

The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best

chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our comfort partner lodges in Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Tukaone Serengeti  Camp

Meal plan: Full Board

After breakfast we head towards the far south of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Ndutu.

Lake Ndutu is situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our Tented partner lodges for dinner and overnight.

You will spend 2 nights at Ndutu.
