8 Day Itinerary Sri Lanka

Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), you will be met by our Holiday Lanka Tours Chauffeur Guide and the Airport staff who will offer assistance. Thereafter proceed to Sigiriya and conduct a visit to the Dambulla rock cave temple & Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, this Orphanage is set for abandoned and injured elephants, at this orphanage you will find many Elephants of all ages. In the evening reach your hotel in Sigiriya.

After breakfast visit, the Sigiriya rock fortress, which is probably one of the most visited tourist destinations in Sri Lanka, end of the visiting driver will take you to the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa (Approx. 01 hour) afternoon city tour of Polonnaruwa including visit Polonnaruwa vantage and most famous historical Monasteries. Check-in at your hotel in the evening and relax.

Breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Anuradhapura (Transfer time approx. 02 hours) Anuradhapura is the most famous major city in Sri Lanka it has a long history, the King Pandukabhaya is the first king and founder of this city. In the afternoon you will start a sightseeing tour in Anuradhapura including visiting eight sacred places such as Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya, and other stupas, end of the tour return to your hotel in Anuradhapura.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kandy while stopping and visiting a Herbal spice garden in Matale (Transfer time approx. 03 hours)​ Kandy is the largest city in the central province of Sri Lanka. The city has at least a metropolitan area and a country with interesting tropical rainy backwaters on all sides with exotic animals. Check in at your hotel and take a little rest, late evening you will attend a spectacle of colorful and dynamic Kandyan dances.  

After the breakfast city tour in Kandy pay a visit to the sacred temple of the tooth relic, (Dalada Maligawa) which considered being the most prized treasure in Sri Lanka, and the seal of sovereignty a Buddha's tooth, enclosed in a sacred relic. during the tour, you can visit Gems and Batik shops (optional) end of the tour proceed to Peradeniya station to conduct a scenic train through the Tea plantations to Nuwara Eliya. (Transfer time approx. 2 hours)​ End of the train ride your chauffeur guide will meet you at the Nanu Oya station. Check-in at your hotel and relax in the evening.

After breakfast proceeds to Ella while visiting Hakgala Botanical Garden. Ella is a beautiful little town in the highlands of Sri Lanka which is loaded up with Tea plantations, mountains, waterfalls, and obviously with some great air to breathe. In the afternoon city tour in Ella includes a visit to Little Adam's Peak, Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, and Ella Rock viewpoint.

After breakfasts proceed to Mirissa (Approx. 4 h 30 minutes) Mirissa is an energetic small beach town on Sri Lanka's south coast that is notable as a prime spot for whale and dolphin watching between December and March, where you can see numerous aerobatic spinner dolphins and the forceful blue whales. In the afternoon visit the beach area and leisure.

Early morning starts your Dolphin and Whale Watching boat safari in the ocean of Mirissa (Dondara) found only a few minute's drive from your hotel. End of the boat safari proceeds to the airport via a =visit to Colombo city including a shopping tour and sightseeing.
