Itinerary

Start your journey to Famous Canadian Rockies from Calgary and you will visit the Lake Louise and Yoho National Park.

[Lake Louise]

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Lake Louise captivates visitors with its striking turquoise color and majestic mountain backdrop. It’s the perfect spot for photography, leisurely walks, or a peaceful canoe ride. (stop for about 2 hours)

[Moraine Lake/Ten Peaks Valley]

Its waters are the most amazing color, a vivid shade of turquoise that changes in intensity through the summer as the glacier melt. Set in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and rock piles, creating a scene so stunning it almost seems unreal. (stop for about 60 minutes)

*Open from mid-May or June to mid-Oct; will be replaced by other sightseeing points if closed.

[YOHO National Park]

Named for a Cree expression of awe and wonder, Yoho lies on the Western slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

[Spiral Tunnel]

It is one of the most bizarre feats of engineering to get the grade of a train line to be at or below 2.2%. The current two spiral tunnels where the railroad forms two spirals, crossing beneath itself twice, almost forming a figure eight, before continuing in the proper direction down the mountain were completed in 1909. (pass through)

[Emerald Lake]

Emerald Lake is a glacier-fed lake in Yoho National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Meltwater from surrounding glaciers carries fine rock particles, called glacial rock flour, into the lake. These suspended particles reflect and absorb sunlight in a way that gives the lake its distinctive greenish hue, highlighting the role of glacial activity in shaping the local landscape.(stop for about 20 minutes)

[Natural Bridge]

Sculpted by the erosive forces of rushing water over what had once been a waterfall, the Natural Bridge is a powerful reminder of how much influence water has in shaping the landscape. (stop for about 15 minutes)

Day 3

Banff Gondola — Johnston Canyon Walk — Bow Falls — Surprise Corner — Hoodoos — Banff Town

Meal

Breakfast: Included (Hotel Breakfast)/ Lunch: Own Arrangement (Group Meal Option Available)/ Dinner: Own Arrangement

Itinerary

At the summit, enjoy boardwalk trails, observation decks, and interactive exhibits that showcase the beauty of Banff National Park. It’s an unforgettable experience that captures the true spirit of the Canadian Rockies. (stop for about 90 minutes)

[Johnston Canyon]

A popular hiking destination in Banff National Park, famous for its dramatic waterfalls, narrow gorges, and scenic walking trails. Visitors can explore catwalks along the canyon walls and experience the beauty of cascading water up close. (stop for about 60 minutes)

[Bow Falls]

Visit this wide, cascading waterfall near the Banff Springs Hotel, which gained fame as a filming location for "The River of No Return" in the 1950s (stop for about 15 minutes)

[Surprise Corner]

This scenic viewpoint offers a stunning, unexpected view of the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel framed by the surrounding mountains. It’s a perfect spot for photos and taking in classic Banff scenery. (stop for about 15 minutes)

[Hoodoos]

Hoodoos are composed sedimentary rock covered by harder rock that is harder to erode. Once softer sediment erodes rock needle, only tower like natural obstacles are left. (stop for about 15 minutes)

[Banff Town]

The biggest town of National towns, many shops and restaurants waiting for your discovery. (stop for about 90 minutes)

Day 4

Kootenay National Park — Marble Canyon — Great Divide — Radium Hot Springs

Meal

Breakfast: Included (Hotel Breakfast)/ Lunch: Own Arrangement/ Dinner: Own Arrangement

Spanning 1,406 square kilometers, Kootenay National Park is renowned for its diverse landscapes. It stands as the only Canadian national park where glaciers and deserts coexist. The park's varied climate contributes to a rich distribution of vegetation, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

[Great Divide]

Located at the boundary between Alberta and British Columbia, this site serves as the divide between the Pacific and Atlantic watersheds. A special watershed monument is prominently displayed here, providing a meaningful backdrop for visitors to capture lasting memories. (stop for about 15 minutes)

[Marble Canyon]

Over the course of 8,000 years, the forces of nature have sculpted the stunning Marble Canyon. Despite the absence of native marble production in the area, the multi-layered limestone formations are equally impressive. (stop for about 45 minutes)

[Kootenay Valley View Point]

This roadside viewpoint provides breathtaking views of the Mitchell and Vermillion mountain ranges and the Kootenay River far below. Watch the river wind through the rich, mountain forest following an ancient route to Castlegar, BC, where it unites with the great Columbia River. (stop for about 10 minutes)

Soak in the naturally-heated, mineral-rich hot pool between the sheltering walls of Sinclair Canyon.  Radium is one of three thermal swimming pools in the Rocky Mountain National Parks - luxurious in summer and magical in the winter. (stop for about 90 minutes)
