Tour program

Day 1

Marrakesh - Atlas Mountains - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley (6 hours drive)

Our 3-day tour from Marrakesh to the Merzouga Desert will start around 7:30 AM from your riad or hotel.

We will begin our Moroccan desert tour by heading to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. First, we will cross the Tizi N'tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains, making numerous stops along the way. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fantastic village that has also served as a backdrop for various Hollywood blockbusters.

We will continue to Ouarzazate for lunch (free time). In the afternoon, we will head towards the Skoura oasis, known for its Kasbah Amridil, which is worth a visit.

We will continue through the Valley of Roses and the village of Kalaa Mgouna, famous for its Damask rose distillation factories. Through the car window, you will see fantastic fortified Berber colonies called Ksours. We will reach our hotel located in the Dades Valley.

Savor a delicious Berber lunch in the gorges before continuing to Merzouga.

Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi, meet your camel caravan where the road ends. Ride a camel and cross the shifting dunes to witness one of the most spectacular sunsets.

We will arrive at our Sahara desert camp just before nightfall. After settling into your tent, climb one of the nearby dunes to marvel at the desert's tranquility. A well-deserved Moroccan dinner will be served under the stars. Then, prepare to test your drumming skills with the nomads.
