Welcome to Meiji Jingu Shrine This shrine is the largest and most powerful spot in Tokyo. Meiji Jingu enshrines Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken as its deities.

Then, you'll indulge in the city's finest ramen as you explore Tokyo Ramen Street! Featuring a diverse array of 8 neighboring shops in Tokyo Station, each offers their own unique twist on this beloved dish. Classic Tokyo Tour

You’ll begin the day at Tokyo`s oldest and most prominent temple, the majestic Senso-Ji. Steeped in tradition dating back over fourteen hundred years, Senso-Ji remains a cherished symbol of both Asakusa and Tokyo.

We'll take you on a Asakusa street food tour, where you'll have the opportunity to try some of the local street food such as takoyaki (octopus balls), yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), the Asakusa-specialty monjayaki (savory pancake), and taiyaki (fish-shaped waffles filled with sweet bean paste).

Aboard the Sumida River Cruise, you’ll ride Tokyo Mizube Line’s comfortable water bus that will allow you to move freely in this thrilling scenic ride which you’ll pass by some of Tokyo’s top sights including the Tokyo Sky Tree, Tsukiji Bridge, Rainbow Bridge, and more! This hour-long cruise gives you the option between either the Asakusa to Odaiba route or vice versa whichever fits your schedule and itinerary best.

Mt. Fuji & Hakone

Today you'll visit the West Lake, and discover the charm of Japan's unique thick-thatched roof cottages known as West Lake Village. Enjoy a glimpse of Mount Fuji in the distance, with the village offering a serene ambiance with murmuring books, singing birds, and blooming flowers.

Ending the day, you'll explore the stunning Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave, situated at the east entrance to the Aokigahara Jukai "sea of trees" forest in the Five Lakes area. Formed over 1150 years ago by the lava flow from Nagaoyama, a flank volcano of Mt. Fuji, this two-tunnel looping cave is open for visits year-round.

Matsumoto Highlights

Today you'll explore the historical Matsumoto Castle, renowned as one of Japan's original and meticulously preserved castles. This "hirajiro," situated on plains rather than elevated terrain, stands out for its unique combination of a secondary donjon and an adjoining turret to the main keep. The castle's elegant structures, complemented by distinctive black wainscoting, exude a sense of grandeur and sophistication.

Then, you'll discover the serene beauty of Lake Suwa, the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture, nestled in the heart of Suwa. Today you'll visit Kodai-ji Temple in Kyoto's Higashiyama District, established in 1606 in memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of Japan’s Great Unifiers. The main buildings showcase lavish interiors surrounded by beautiful Zen gardens. Explore this cultural gem steeped in history and nestled in the heart of Kyoto.

You'll then visit Nene no Michi, which is situated in Higashiyama Ward along a prominent tourist route in eastern Kyoto, preserving a Kyoto of a bygone era. This street stands out for adhering to a more traditional architectural style, with a distinctive absence of garish signs and buried telephone wires—a rarity in the city. Experience the beauty and uniqueness of Nene no Michi, offering a glimpse into Kyoto's historical charm.

Then, you'll visit Yasaka Shrine, which is renowned for its annual Gion Matsuri held every July, standing as one of the most celebrated festivals in Japan. With a history spanning over a thousand years, the Gion Matsuri features a grand procession featuring massive floats and hundreds of participants, making it a cultural spectacle not to be missed.

You'll experience the charm of Kyoto's geisha culture in an evening at Hanamikoji Geisha District, particularly along the south side of Shijo-dori. A leisurely stroll through this area often rewards visitors with the enchanting sight of geisha.

Ending the day, you'lll enjoy seven vignettes of traditional Japanese performing arts in a captivating one-hour show at the Gion Corner theater. The program features chanoyu (tea preparation), koto music, ikebana flower arrangement, bugaku dance, kyogen comedy, and Kyomai dance. Depending on the season, the show includes scenes from either bunraku puppet theater or a noh play. Each attendee can also opt in for a digital tablet providing detailed information and translations throughout the performance.

Kyoto Classic tour

The stunning Higashi Honganji Temple is still an incredible feat of traditional Japanese architecture. Built in 1602 and located near Nishi Honganji Temple, these two enormous temples once formed a united complex before being separated during feudal times due to concerns over political influence. Today, Higashi Honganji continues to inviting visitors from all over the globe and maintains a significant role within Japan's religious landscape as the head temple of the Otani faction of Jodo-shin Buddhism, and houses the Goeido: one of the world’s largest wooden structures, and the nearby Amidado Hall. 

­ 

Next, you’ll visit Sanjusangendo which is the popular name for Rengeo-in, a temple in eastern Kyoto which is famous for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy of Japanese Buddhism. It is also home to a wooden statue of a 1000-armed Kannon (Senju Kannon) which is flanked on each side by 500 statues of human sized 1000-armed Kannon standing in ten rows.

Then, you’ll experience the grand Nishiki Market: a narrow, five block long shopping street lined by more than one hundred shops and restaurants. Known as "Kyoto's Kitchen", this lively market specializes in fresh seafood, produce, knives and cookware, and is a great place to find plenty of Kyoto specialties such as Japanese sweets, pickles, dried seafood and sushi.

Finally, you’ll relax and unwind at with a Kimono and Tea Ceremony. Don traditional kimonos during this memorable tea ceremony guided by an expert tea master. You’ll gain insights into the history, etiquette, and significance of the ceremony, and participate in making matcha green tea under their guidance.

Himeji Castle Tour

You'll spend today at Himeji Castle, known as the White Heron Castle (Shirasagijo) for its elegant, white appearance, stands as Japan's most spectacular castle. Renowned for its imposing size and beauty, it is a national treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Unlike many other Japanese castles, Himeji Castle has withstood the test of time, remaining unscathed by war, earthquake, or fire, making it one of the country's twelve original castles.

Okayama

Today you'll visit the historical Okayama Castle, fondly known as the "crow castle" for its striking black façade. Originally constructed in 1597 and destroyed in WWII, it was reconstructed in 1966 and its Tsukimi Yagura (moon viewing tower) still stands as one of the few remaining original buildings. Take a stroll along the Asashi River, which moats the castle, which particularly beautiful during Hamani (peak blooming) season.

­ 

Then, you'll immerse yourself in the beauty of Korakuen, a stunning landscape garden and Okayama's premier attraction. One of Japan’s Three Great Gardens along with Kanazawa's Kenrokuen and Mito's Kairakuen.

You’ll be driven to Hiroshima afterwards.

You'll then visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, the last standing remnant of the original Hiroshima when it was bombed.

Concluding the day, you'll take a stroll around Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park (Heiwa Kinen Kōen) nearby, one of the most prominent attractions in the city, which covers over 120,000 square meters of land. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area.

Hiroshima

Itsukushima, also known as Miyajima, is an island filled with grand forests, temples and wild deer, make for a beloved tourist spot. In the day the deer mingle with the tourists and sleep along the walking paths in the evening. Unfortunately, unlike at Nara, the deer on Miyajima are not allowed to be fed.

The centuries-old Itsukushima Shrine (Itsukushima Jinja) is the source of both the island's fame and its name: Miyajima literally means "shrine island" in Japanese. The shrine is known worldwide for its iconic "floating" torii gate, as the gate looks as if it floats when the tide comes in and the waters completely cover the ground.

You’ll be driven to Iwakuni for the next attraction.

­ 

You'll end the day visiting Kintai Bridge, a historic wooden arch bridge located in Iwakuni and constructed in 1673. It features a series of five enormous wooden arches spanning the Nishiki River. It is situated at the base of Mt. Yokotama, crowned by the renowned Iwakuni Castle built over seventy years earlier.

Kurashiki

Today you'll visit Shukkeien Garden. Translated as "shrunken-scenery garden" in English, its name aptly describes its miniature representations of valleys, mountains, and forests, carefully cultivated to mimic diverse natural formations and scenic views.

Then, you'll visit the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. Nestled along the Kurashiki River, it showcases a picturesque historical townscape characterized by Japanese white-walled residences and riverside willow trees. Notable cultural attractions include the red-bricked Kurashiki Ivy Square, the Kurashiki Museum of Folkcraft housing a collection of 700 handicrafts, and the Kurashiki Archeological Museum. A highlight for tourists is the "Traditional Boat Tour of Kurashiki Canal," providing a charming view of white walls from a boat along the Kurashiki River. Visitors can immerse themselves in Japanese culture by trying on a kimono or yukata while exploring the historic streets. The quarter also features washoku (Japanese cuisine) restaurants and local confection shops, offering a delightful taste of Japanese tradition.

You'll end the day with a visit to the Ohara Museum of Art, which holds the distinction of being Japan's inaugural museum dedicated to Western art. Arrival in Osaka

You'll be accompanied today by a English speaking tour guide and personal vehicle.

You'll first visit the ultramodern Umeda Sky Building, a landmark of Osaka's Kita Ward. Built in 1993, you'll ead up to the uniquely designed observation deck for a picture-perfect view of Osaka’s expansive cityscape!

­ 

Next, you'll check out the historic Osaka Castle Park, behold the castle itself in all its splendor, and get a glimpse into what life was life as a member of the shogunate.

­ 

You'll spend the rest of the day in Shinsekai, a retro downtown area of southern Osaka. Paris was chosen as the model for Shinsekai's northern half, while the southern portion was built to imitate Coney Island in New York.  The area includes Osaka's landmark Tsutenkaku Tower, which was first was constructed in 1912 after Paris' Eiffel Tower. Although it was scrapped during WWII, the tower was reconstructed soon afterwards in 1956.  The current tower is 103 meters high, with the main observatory at a height of 91 meters. The tower also offers an open-air deck on top of the main observatory and a 60-meter-long  slide at the base of the tower.

In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to UME Travel (less any cancellation fee that is applicable) within 14 days of our receipt of your written cancellation request.

2. For clients booking a trip to China with us, we provide a free Invitation Letter for the Chinese visa obtainment process. However, if the client requests to cancel the itinerary, a handling fee of 10% of the total tour cost will apply, regardless of when or what reason a cancellation is requested.


3. As each country and region has the peak travel season due to different holidays, the following time periods are not applicable to the above policies. The following periods can only be free-cancelled 30 days in advance. For the client who cancel the trip within 30 - 14 days, we will refund the remaining balance after accounting for the actual costs incurred.

Travel Documentation

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon request. UME Travel accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.


Health Requirements

Clients should take into account all international travel risks and familiarize themselves with health requirements applicable to the areas they intend to visit. The client is solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of governments in countries visited or transited. Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that the he/she is fit to travel and his/her blood pressure and heart condition are normal. This is a necessary requirement because of the possible effects that the very high altitude may have on certain people.


Insurance

UME Travel tour packages include Ping An Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance up to a maximum of $29,000 provided free of charge as part of our package. We still highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin. Insurance provided by UME Travel is not applicable where only hotel is purchased through UME Travel.


Complaints and Claims

Shall you feel unsatisfied with any service UME Travel has provided, please notify your 7x24 hours available travel advisor or UME Travel Customer-care service (Phone no. +1 (213) 451-8029) to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.


In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. UME Travel will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.


Communications

You can contact UME Travel via the web form from www.umetravel.com, email, fax, or phone. If for any reason, you fail to receive any reply from UME Travel in regard of your tour status within 48 hours from the time you submitted the request for booking, modifying, or canceling a tour, please contact UME Travel immediately to ensure that we are able to deal with your enquiry under the terms of our Terms and Conditions.


Liability & Responsibility

UME Travel provides tour information and tour bookings. UME Travel publishes travel information and services gathered from the selected quality hotels, air ticket agencies and tour companies & operators. UME Travel will not be responsible for errors, emissions or inaccuracies in information provided by third party providers.


UME Travel shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent or fraudulent, omissions, changes of itinerary, cancellation or the failure of any equipment operated by those suppliers or any other party not directly owned or controlled by UME Travel.


UME Travel shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person or property, alteration of itineraries or cancellation in part or in full, caused by climatic conditions, sea fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond UME Travel's control. Neither UME Travel nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses of liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the aforementioned causes


UME Travel is not responsible for a client's failure to comply with customs regulations.


UME Travel is not responsible for the theft or loss of any customer's valuables or items of personal property due to the negligence of the customer.


UME Travel reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, trains, or cruise ships, to alter itineraries, or to cancel the tour prior to departure. If UME Travel has cancelled any tour prior to the commencement of the tour, UME Travel is liable for a full refund of the money received from the client.


Many of UME Travel tour packages include activities which require care and attention. Such activities include boarding and going ashore from boats, climbing hills and entering and exiting tombs and caves etc. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. UME Travel, its employees and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care.


UME Travel reserves the right to modify or rescind the terms and conditions in whole, or in part at any time with or without notice.


Modification or Discontinuance of Service

UME Travel reserves the right to modify or discontinue service to clients who behave illegally or objectionably toward its employees and agents. Offensive behavior includes behavior which is obscene, racially offensive or of a sexual nature.
