Alice Springs to Uluru / Ayers Rock

Leaving Alice Springs early, we travel towards Uluru, stopping at Mt Connor (false Uluru) lookout and Curtin Springs for a toilet break before getting to our campground for lunch. You can also opt for a complimentary pick-up service from Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock Campground, where your outback adventure begins. Prepare to be awe-struck by the heart of the Red Centre and region-rich heritage and Aboriginal significance which you will learn more about at the interpretive cultural centre. Get up close and personal with Uluru, the colossal monolith, as you embark on a base walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole, discovering sacred rock art sites and ancient creation stories. Explore the remarkable Kantju Gorge, home to Central Australia's highest waterfall and an elders' cave, ending your day with a mesmerizing sunset at Uluru lookout, accompanied by a hearty dinner.

Rise early and savour a light breakfast as you venture towards a captivating sunrise in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Witness the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta, a remarkable sight to behold. Embark on an invigorating hike through the awe-inspiring Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, marvelling at the mighty conglomerate rock formations. Conclude your exploration of Kata Tjuta, and head back to Yulara Airport to either meet your adjoining flight (or feel free to add an additional nights stay at our safari camp for an extra $100 p.p.) What are the sleeping arrangements?

  • Basic Single Swag (sleeps 1) – This Basic Single Swag fare price is (Per Person) for Adults or Children. For guests who wish to sleep under the stars on the ground, in a self-contained canvas-covered bush bed roll with a camp mattress. Towels are not provided.
  • Safari Tent Twin Share (sleeps 2) – This Safari Tent fare price is (Per Person) for Adults or Children. For guests wishing to sleep in the outback but remain protected from the elements, we provide permanent tented campsites, twin single beds with mattresses, bed linen supplied. Towels are not provided.

Our permanent tented campsites have access to communal campground showers and toilets. These sites generally have limited solar power or are unpowered. Therefore, guests are asked to bring rechargeable power banks (limited power access to charge phones or cameras).

As we have travellers from all over the world, flights before and after the tour are not included in the tour price and you need to arrange these separately by yourself once your tour is guaranteed. As we specialise in organising the best tours around the world for you, we are unable to advise on flight prices or book flights on your behalf. We recommend that you do not book your flights until your place on the tour has been confirmed. We have a couple of all-terrain trucks and or medium buses. The maximum number of passengers we carry on these tours is 17-23 people, with a minimum requirement of 8 people to guarantee the departure. On occasions, we may use alternative vehicles and midi-coaches depending on our fleet availability.
