From the Golden Roof to Romeo & Juliet to the Sea

A cycling tour for leisurely cyclists that could hardly be more varied! From mountainous Tyrol, you go to the Adriatic, where the sea breeze blows around your nose. In addition to cultural highlights, culinary delights await, which begin with hearty dishes in Tyrol and culminate in pasta and wine in the lagoon city. You can also let the cities on the tour melt in your mouth: Innsbruck, Bolzano, Trento, Verona, Venice - cyclist's heart, what more could you want?

Details of the cycling tour Innsbruck - Venice

Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, is the starting point of the journey, which goes up high on the first stage. By train or minibus you go up to the Brenner Pass and from there downhill over 1,300 meters to the lagoon city. The first destination, however, is the episcopal city of Brixen with its beautiful cathedral.

The journey continues along the Eisack to Bolzano, where a visit to “Ötzi” in the Archaeological Museum is included. The journey continues via Trento along the Etsch to Rivalta and Verona, where not only romantics should pay a visit to the balcony of the “Casa di Giulietta”. Before the lagoon city beckons, there is a real insider tip: Vicenza scores with numerous impressive villas and palaces by the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio (UNESCO World Heritage Site!).

Interesting facts about the cycling trip Innsbruck - Venice

The cycle paths along the Etsch and Eisack towards the Adriatic coast are excellent. Whether along railway lines, dams or trade routes - variety is guaranteed. The stages, with a maximum length of 70 km, are easy for every cyclist to manage, with only a few (and usually short) climbs to overcome.
