Itinerary
Phulchowki is situated 18km Southeast of Kathmandu. At 2760m, it is the highest of the mountains around the Kathmandu valley and provides an ideal introduction to the birds of Nepal. Regularly recorded resident species include Besra, Black Eagle, Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Kalij Pheasant, Common Hill Partridge, Ashy Woodpigeon, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Mountain Scops Owl, Collared Owlet, Golden-throated Barbet, Speckled Piculet, Crimson-breasted Pied and Rufous-bellied Pied Woodpeckers, Grey-chinned Minivet, Striated Bulbul, Orange-bellied Leafbird, Spotted Forktail, Chestnut-headed and grey-bellied Tesias, Chestnut-crowned and black faced Warblers, Rufous-bellied Niltava, Lesser Scaly-breasted Wren Babbler, Streak-breasted Scimitar-Babbler, Grey-throated and Spiny Babblers, White-crested, striated, Rufous-chinned and grey-sided Laughing thrushes, Red-billed Leiothrix, Cuttia, White-browed Green and Black-eared Shrike-Babblers, Hoary Barwing, Blue-winged Minla, Nepal Fulvetta, Yellow-browed Tit, Brown-throated Treecreeper, Black-throated Sunbird, Maroon Oriole, Eurasian and Lancelated Jays, Red-billed Blue Magpie and Brown Bullfinch . A further 55 species have been known to visit the area as migratory or occasional visitors. Phulchowki's forests are also very rich in flora and butterflies. Mammals include Leopard, Yellow-throated Marten and Orange-bellied Squirrel. The following day, we will move to Pokhara.

Day 2
Bird watching tour in Phulchowki
We leave from the hotel and head out for a full day bird watching in Phulchowki (2759m), about 18km southeast of Kathmandu. We also explore Godavari Royal Botanical Garden for some prime butterfly watching. Later, we head back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3
Bird watching tour in Shivapuri National Park
In the morning, we head to Shivapuri National Park to see the various bird species there. A total of 318 bird species have been identified in the park, including the Golden-throated Barbet, Large Hawk Cuckoo, Eurasian Cuckoo, Himalayan Cuckoo, Collared Owlet, and others. Later, we head back to Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4
Kathmandu to Pokhara
Leaving Kathmandu behind, we will drive through Prithvi Highway along the road offering scenic beauties of mountains, terraces and river for about 7hrs to take us to Pokhara where we will stay in a Lakeside Hotel overnight.
Day 5

Today will be full of day bird watching and exploration near the Fewa Lake area.we will see birds like: Besra, Red-thighed Falconet, Pallid and Pied Harriers, Eurasian Griffon, Red-headed and Eurasian Black Vultures, Kalij Pheasant, Ducks, Gulls, Terns, Waders, Bulbul, Black-backed Forktail, Puff-throated Babbler, White-crested, Lesser Necklaced and Rufous-chinned Laughing Thrushes, Red-billed Leiothrix, Minivetts, Crimson Sunbird, Maroon Oriole anymore.Overnight at hotel.
Day 6
Bird watching tour Near Rupa Lake
Today will be full of bird watching and exploration near the Rupa Lake area. we will see birds like:Lesser Racket-tailed Drongo, Red-billed and Green Magpies, Long-tailed Mountain Thrush, Chestnut-headed and Grey-bellied Tesias, Chestnut-crowned Warbler, Small and Rufous-bellied Niltavas and Snowy-brown Flycatcher, Long-tailed Broadbill, Pale Blue Flycatcher, White-tailed Robin, Spiny Babbler, White-browed Scimitar-Babbler, Striated Munia, Lesser Whitethroat and Thick-billed Warbler anymore.Overnight at hotel.
Day 7
Pokhara to Kathmandu
oday, we will drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic Prithvi Highway. It will take about 6 hours to reach Kathmandu. We will have a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 8
Final Departure
After breakfast you will have some free time until to leave the international airport for your final departure.
