Puglia Private Experience (including Matera): Great landscapes and rural heritage

Aferter breakfast, departure from Alberobello.

In the morning, the great experience of a Olive Farm tour! 

Surrounded by beautiful Apulian centuries-old olive trees, local farmers will lead us into the discovering of  the secrets of the olive mill, where the fantastic transformation to make a high quality extra virgin olive oil takes place. The experience will end with the opportunity to learn the techniques to recognize good quality oil and, of course, with a tasting with extra virgin olive oil. 

Free time for lunch.

Following to Ostuni, lovely town known as “the White city” due of white-washed buildings perched strategically atop a hill. We will visit the narrow streets of the city centre in a fun and typical way, using the Ape Calessino!

Return to Alberobello and overnight.

After breakfast departure from Alberobello.

In the morning we will enjoy a cooking class to discover the secrets of the Apulian cuisine. Local professionals will teach us all the secrets to make typical Apulian dishes following the most traditional and genuine recipes by putting your “hands in the dough”. It will be a unique experience in a suggestive location, a farm among the authentic nature and tastes. The cooking class will end with a tasting lunch.

After the lunch following to Lecce. 

Visit of the centre of the capital of italian baroque architecture with its lovely buildings and monuments, made with the white “Pietra Leccese”. 

Accomodation in a lovely classic resort in front of the great coastline landscapes of Salento. 

Overnight 

After breakfast, departure for a private navigation along the lovely coasts of Salento.

With a private comfortable boat, local professionals will lead us into the discovering of the great beaches and bays that characterize this wild and astonishing coastline. 

During the journey, the great experience of a lunch with typical products and wines on board! 

After the sailing, return to the port and visit of the lovely town of Otranto, a jewel set between West and East, a rich combination of history, art and breathtaking landscapes

Return to the hotel. Overnight.

In the morning we will visit one of the vineyards of the area where, after a nice walk along the property,  the local DOP wines will enchant your palate with refined elegance, revealing the secrets of theirs long tradition.

Arrival to Gallipoli, city with a very long and complex history from its foundation by the Messapians through the various Roman, Byzantine, Saracen, Norman and Aragonese dominations. 

Visit of the alleys in the city centre.  After the visit continuation towards Nardò, a charming town in the province of Lecce, famous for its beautiful historic center, beaches and monuments.

Return to the hotel. Overnight.

In the morning, after breakfast departure to Matera. 

Arrival and visit with our guide of the City of Stone, Unesco World heritage site famous for its unique incredible city centre with houses carved into the rocks.

After the visit, the experience of sensory laboratory that aims to rework the scents discovered in the park of the rock churches and to create a personalized perfume with natural extracts of plants and flowers of our territory. At the end of the workshop, the perfume created with the help of our master perfumers will be delivered to participants. 

Accommodation in a hotel in the original “Sassi”, with rooms in restored dwellings obtained from original caves for an unforgettable experience. Overnight.

After the check-out, return to Rome.
