Have you already experienced cross-country skiing? On this wintery and snowy adventure you will learn a new skill. This is your chance to challenge yourself! Will you be able to keep your balance? This trip is for beginners. Our guide will get you acquainted with your skis and the right cross-country skiing technique. We will end our tour with enjoying a hot beverage at the local safari house.

Snowshoe Safari For Karelian village
-We will head towards the nearby forests and, depending on the ice conditions, also onto the frozen Lake Pielinen. You will be sure to break a sweat, hiking along the snowy trails. We will end the safari at a wilderness hut, where we will make some delicious campfire pancakes along with sooty pot coffee.
Before embarking on the tour, you will be equipped with suitable gear (you can also participate wearing your own winter gear) and advised on proper snowshoeing technique and on how to adjust your shoes. This safari requires a good level of general fitness.

Sliding Snowshoe
Sliding Snowshoe Safari amidst Wintery forest
Embark on a two-hour guided sliding snowshoe safari in the nearby forest! Explore the enchanting scenery, enjoy the soothing atmosphere of the pine forest and white snowdrifts. If weather conditions allow, we may also ski onto the frozen Lake Pielinen. This tour is all about great exercise!
We will end the tour with lighting a campfire and enjoying coffee at a wilderness hut. Each snowshoer will also have the opportunity make themselves a campfire pancake! Welcome to experience a great adventure in crisp winter weather!
Before embarking on the tour, you will be equipped with suitable gear (you can also participate wearing your own winter gear) and advised on sliding snowshoe features and technique. Sliding snowshoes combine the best features of snowshoes and forest skis. They offer a good grip when skiing uphill and allow for a bit of speed when skiing downhill. This safari requires a good level of general fitness.

CANCELLATION BY YOU
Any cancellation by you must be made in writing (letter or email). The date on the letter/email received by us will determine the cancellation charges applicable. The cancellation charges are expressed as a percentage of the total
tour price. These charges are as follows:
• More than 30 days before commencement of the tour: 0 % of the total cost.
• Between 29 and 15 days before commencement of the tour: 20 %
• Between 14 and 7 days before commencement of the tour: 40 %
• Less than 6 days before commencement of the tour 60 %
• On the day of the commencement of the tour or now-show 100 % of the total cost.
CANCELLATION BY US
When a change is a major change, we will advise you as soon as possible. You will then have the choice of accepting
the change, taking an alternative holiday (and where this is of a lower price we will refund the difference), or
withdrawing from the contract and accepting a full refund of all monies paid. Major changes are cancellation due to
underbooking or force majeure.
Force majeure is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequence of which neither
we nor our suppliers could avoid, even with the exercise of all due care.
