Byzantinische Spaziergänge
Meteora, ein Monument, das von der UNESCO als einer der "Schätze der Welt" bezeichnet und in die Liste des Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen wurde, ist ein Muss bei Ihrem Besuch in Griechenland. Verpassen Sie nicht diese erstklassige Tour zu einem atemberaubenden geologischen Phänomen, das man selbst gesehen haben muss, um es zu glauben! Alles begann vor ca. 60 Millionen Jahren und seit dem 12. Jahrhundert n. Chr. wurden die Felsen von den Mönchen des Heiligen Berges Athos ausgebeutet und Klöster auf den einzelnen Felssäulen errichtet. Jedes der Klöster besitzt einen enormen Reichtum an Fresken und Ikonen und ist bewundernswert für seine Geschichte und Architektur, Museen, die eine breite Palette von Reliquien und kirchlichen Schätzen enthalten. Unser Führer wird Sie durch zwei der wichtigsten und am besten erhaltenen der insgesamt sechs Klöster des Komplexes führen. Nach einer Mittagspause in dem schönen Dorf Kalambaka
das an den Ausläufern der Felsformationen liegt, kehren wir zu den Treffpunkten unseres Ausflugs zurück.

Makedonische Schätze
Dieser Ausflug kombiniert eine archäologische Tour mit dem Besuch eines berühmten Pilgerziels in Griechenland, der Stadt Veria. Veria, eine Stadt, die für ihre religiöse Geschichte bekannt ist, da der Heilige Paulus hier auf seiner 2. Missionsreise gepredigt hat. Während Ihrer freien Zeit erkunden Sie die interessanten byzantinischen und postbyzantinischen Kirchen, schlendern durch die alten Viertel, darunter das jüdische Viertel, und probieren natürlich die lokale Süßigkeit Revani. Danach machen wir uns auf den Weg nach Vergina oder "Aegae", wie der antike Name lautet, der ersten Hauptstadt des antiken Makedoniens. Zusammen mit unserem professionellen, lizenzierten Führer betreten wir das Neue Museum von Aigai, ein Tor zur Geschichte der königlichen Metropole des Makedonischen Reiches, das vor kurzem eingeweiht wurde. Dort werden Sie über die Geschichte, die Kultur und das tägliche Leben der Mazedonier informiert. Insbesondere die Ausstellungen zu Architektur, Skulptur und Grabbeigaben beherbergen beeindruckende und einzigartige Funde wie antike Waffen, Töpferwaren und kostbaren Schmuck. Hier besuchen wir das neue Museum von Aegae und die von der Unesco geschützten Königsgräber von Vergina. Nach dem Besuch des Nea Museums von Aegae setzen wir unseren Ausflug fort
zu den königlichen Gräbern von Vergina. Bevor wir sie betreten, machen wir einen kurzen Halt zum Mittagessen im Dorf Vergina, in dem sich die Gräber befinden. Nutzen Sie die Gelegenheit, unter den Grabhügel zu steigen, der beeindruckende Grabmonumente wie das königliche Grab von Philipp II., dem Vater von Alexander dem Großen, beherbergt und außergewöhnliche Goldschätze aus dem 4. v. Chr. beherbergt, eine atemberaubende Kulisse, die Ihnen für immer in Erinnerung bleiben wird.
Nach unserem letzten Besichtigungspunkt und der Abfahrt werden Sie zur geschätzten Ankunftszeit an Ihrem Abholpunkt abgesetzt.
Tag 4
Land des Aristoteles & Berg Athos Kreuzfahrt
In Begleitung unseres offiziellen Reiseführers beginnt der Tag damit, dass wir den Thermaischen Golf hinter uns lassen und an den beiden Seen Koronia und Volvi vorbeifahren, Feuchtgebiete von internationaler Bedeutung. Wir fahren in Richtung Osten durch die wunderschöne Route des Schlosses von Rentina (oder auch "The Macedonian Tempi" genannt), wo der tragische Dichter Euripides seinen letzten Atemzug getan hat. Kurz darauf erreichen wir den Strymonischen Golf und nachdem wir das touristische Dorf Stavros hinter uns gelassen haben, erreichen wir die Region Chalkidiki. Genießen Sie die wunderbare Strecke entlang der Küsten von Nordost-Halkidiki und
entdecken Sie die kleine Insel Kapros, auf der Olympiada, die Mutter von Alexander dem Großen, gefangen gehalten wurde. Unser
erste archäologische Sehenswürdigkeit ist die Akropolis des antiken Stagira, dem Geburtsort des weltweit bekannten
Philosophen Aristoteles, dem Lehrer und Mentor von Alexander dem Großen. Nach der geführten Tour
ist unser nächster Halt der kleine Hafen von Ouranoupolis. Von diesem Seehafen aus setzen wir unsere Reise fort,
in Richtung Süden der Halbinsel Athos, bis wir die südliche Grenze erreichen, wo der höchste Punkt 2.033 m beträgt.
2.033 m liegt. Von hier aus segeln wir nach Norden, entlang der Westküste. Sie werden aus nächster Nähe (vom Boot aus)
aus der Nähe (vom Boot aus) den geheimnisvollen und wundersamen Ort sehen, der seit Jahrhunderten das Zentrum der
Orthodoxie war und Sie werden neue Informationen über die Geschichte des Berges Athos und 8 seiner Klöster erfahren.
Nach unserer Rückkehr zum Hafen haben Sie Zeit für ein Mittagessen in Ouranoupolis, während wir den atemberaubenden Blick auf den Singitischen Golf, Athos und die Sithonia-Halbinsel genießen. Nach einem Tag voller Eindrücke kehren wir zu unseren Treffpunkten zurück.
