Things to Know about Pilgrimages in Salzburg & Tyrol
Your very special pilgrimage in the footsteps of St. James begins with the journey to the Trumer Lakes. The Salzburg Way of St. James takes you through the lake district, into the old town of Salzburg and on to Großgmain, Bad Reichenhall, Unken and Lofer as far as the Tyrolean border. The daily routes are easy and mostly run on asphalt paths. If you wish, you can also shorten two longer stages by taking the bus. On average, you will hike for around five hours a day and cover between 15 and 20 kilometers.
