Israel - The Peace Route

• Buffet breakfast. Departure for a visit of the New City of Jerusalem.  

• Visit of the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls and the model representing the City of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus are exhibited. 

• View of the Parliament building (Knesset) and the Menorah, continuing to Ein Karem, a picturesque suburb of Jerusalem to visit the Shrine of St. John the Baptist. 

• From there we will continue to visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum. 

• In the afternoon drive to Bethlehem. Visit the Church of the Nativity, Nativity Grotto, Chapels of St. Jerome and St. Joseph. 

• Return to Jerusalem. 

• Overnight in Jerusalem. (Optional dinner at a supplement)

• Buffet breakfast. Departure via Mount Scopus to the Mount of Olive for a panoramic view of the Walled Holy City. 

• Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Basilica of Agony. 

• Departure to the Old City. Visit the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) from where you will see the Temple Mount. 

• Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

• Continue to Mount Zion where you will see the Tomb of King David, Cenacle (Last Supper Room) and the Dormition Abbey.

• Overnight in Jerusalem. (Optional dinner at a supplement)

Optional tour to MASADA AND DEAD SEA (not included in the package price) 

Through the extraordinary scenery of the Dead Sea we will arrive at Masada, located on an isolated cliff in the Judean desert. The site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Ascent by cable car to the fortress, the last stronghold of the Jewish fanatics in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod's palace, the synagogue, the baths and other sites of interest, enjoying the wonderful views of the site and of the Dead Sea below. 

At almost 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth's surface. Float on the sea and enjoy the mineral-rich waters and their properties. Return to Jerusalem
