План подорожі

The actual trekking is for 4 days only (Day 3-6). The first 2 days are spent on an excursion trip to acclimatize and the last 3 days offer in-depth cultural tours in the Capital city Thimphu and the fertile Punakha valley.

The 4-Days Druk Path Trek is one of the most popular treks in the country as it passes through gorgeous natural landscapes of blue pine forests, high ridges and pristine lakes while at the same time offering the opportunity to visit some ancient Lhakhang, dzongs and villages. Although graded Moderate – Difficult, the Druk Path Trek is a fairly easy trek to undertake as the distances between rest camps are shorter. The trail takes you through forests of fir, blue pine and dwarf rhododendrons at altitudes ranging between 2400m – 4200m above sea level. On the 2nd day of the trek, we will arrive at Jigmelang Lake whose crystal-clear waters are home to gigantic trouts.

This trek also offers stunning views of Mt. Gangkar Puensum, the highest unscaled peak in the world. The best times to embark on this trek are from March to June and September to November. Below are some of the highlights you can expect on this exhilarating trek:

  • Hike to 8th century sacred site where Bhutan’s iconic landmark, 17th century Paro Taktsang or Tiger’s Nest is located.
  • Embark on a 4-day trek through stunning landscapes, high ridges and pristine lakes at altitudes ranging from 2,400m – 4,200m with rich flora and fauna.
  • Interact with yak herders around one of the campsites and understand their semi-nomadic lifestyle.
  • Visit the capital city of Bhutan and get true glimpse of modern Bhutan with its ancient culture still vibrant.
  • Travel beyond the capital city to the fertile Punakha valley passing through picturesque mountain pass Dochula at 3150m elevation.
  • Visit ancient temples and magnificent Dzongs (fortresses) and marvel at the fine wall paintings, exquisite architecture and craftsmanship that still continues to influence the Bhutanese architecture today.
  • Immerse yourself into the mindful Buddhist way of life, away from the materialistic world, and discover why Bhutan has earned its nickname the ‘Kingdom of Happiness’.

There are only two airlines that operates in and out of Bhutan; Drukair & Bhutan Airlines. The flight tends to get fully booked months ahead especially during the peak seaon. We highly recommened you to book flight tickets much ahead of your departure date. You can either book the Drukair / Bhutan Airlines flight online by yourself or leave it to us if you have any trouble booking the flight, will be happy to help you in any way we can. Гід

We believe tour guides play an important role in making your journey memorable and getting the most out of your trip. All our guides are experienced English-speaking licensed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan and they will accompany you throughout your trip in Bhutan. They are always ready to serve you and take care of you every step of your journey so that you go back home satisfied and happy with good memories that will last a lifetime.

And the driver’s responsibility is no less. No matter how luxury the transport is, your safety and comfort are in the hands of a driver. Therefore, we employ only experienced drivers specifically licensed to drive tourists.

If for some reason you are not satisfied with either of our guide or driver, let us know immediately. We never had such issues in the past but we’ll always try to have them replaced as soon as possible.

NOTE: We can arrange guides speaking other major languages (French, Japanese, German, Chinese, Korean & Thai) at an additional fee.
