Discover the Magic of Northern and Southern Argentina in 10 Days

Starting in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, you'll enjoy a tour of its most iconic landmarks during a comprehensive city tour, visiting traditional neighborhoods like San Telmo, La Boca, Recoleta, and Palermo, as well as its majestic historic center. The journey then continues to the heart of the Misiones jungle in Puerto Iguazú, where you'll explore the mighty Iguazú Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world. Iguazu Falls - Argentinian side

The park was created in 1934 with the main aim to protect the majestic Iguazu Falls. In 1984, UNESCO declared this place Natural World Heritage due to the beauty of the scenery and the biological diversity in this subtropical rainforest.  The visit to the Iguazu National Park can be done via 3 circuits and on catwalks, best known as Lower Path, Higher path, and the Devil ́s Throat Path. The Lower Path is a 1,200-metre-walk (0.8 miles) that gives a great view of the majority of the rapids and falls from a front and lower point of view. The distances range from a bird’s eye point of view of The Devil’s Throat together with several Brazilian rapids, to spectacular close-ups to other falls. This walk has some high difficulty level due to the number of steps along the way. (Approximate duration: 2 hours). The Higher Path is a 1,300- meter-walk (0.9 miles) that will raise every visitor ́s adrenaline level because of the vertigo of being at the edge of some waterfalls. This walk has breathtaking sceneries from a cliff-point outlook and this is the less effort demanding walk of the three traditional ones. No steps along the way. (Approximate duration: 1 hour). The Devil’s Throat has to be accessible via the Ecological Jungle Train, and everyone must get off at the stop named after this waterfall. From there, there is a stroll along the catwalk which is a winding path that goes around the islands for 1,100 meters (0.7 miles) and ends in the large balconies located on the edge of falls. There are no steps along the path. (Approximate duration: 2 hours).

To be able to start the circuits along the catwalk floors, every visitor must take one of the modern panoramic view busses to move safely within the park.

The length of the catwalk floors is 1,200 meters (0.8 miles) from where it is possible to get a breathtaking view of the 275 waterfalls. The four main rapids on the Brazilian side are Floriano, Deodoro, Benjamín Constant and Salto Unión or The Devil´s Throat.

The glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro are located within Seno Mayo of Lago Argentino, inside Los Glaciares National Park. The only way to reach them is via water navigation.

Departing from Puerto Argentino or Puerto Moreno, you'll navigate through the Canal de los Témpanos and into Seno Mayo. The first disembarkation takes place at Bahía Toro, where a guide will lead you on an interpretive hike through the Patagonian Andean Forest, surrounded by native trees like lenga, guindo, canelo, and ñire. You'll reach a centuries-old guindo tree with a trunk over 3 meters in diameter.

From there, continue through the forest to a small stream fed by a scenic waterfall, framed by towering limestone cliffs about 180 meters high.

Back aboard the boat, the journey continues through Seno Mayo, offering panoramic views of the hanging glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro. A second landing and short forest trek (approx. 1 km) brings you even closer to these awe-inspiring ice formations.

To cap off the day, the navigation continues to the northern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Disembark at the floating dock at Puerto Moreno, and explore the famous walkways offering exceptional views of this natural wonder.

Finally, return by land to your hotel in El Calafate.

Nativo experience

Nativo Experience is a half-day 4x4 tour along the coast of Lake Argentino. Perfect for your arrival or departure day, this tour takes an anthropological approach, traveling through time to explore the presence of humans in these lands, rediscovering stories of the first expeditions and the daring pioneers who ventured into the unknown.

Between cliffs and with views of the Andes Mountain Range, the tour focuses on the first contacts between explorers and native peoples, then delves into the world of the Tehuelche culture. Along the lakeshore, we visit ancient caves where this culture left its marks on the rock thousands of years ago—traces that still speak to us today.

Our 4x4 vehicles will pick you up from your hotel to begin the adventure across the Patagonian steppe.

At the shores of Lake Argentino, our guides offer insights into the landscape’s formation, as well as the local fauna and flora.

We then climb to a panoramic viewpoint that offers stunning views of the city, the vast Lake Argentino, and the Andes.

A short 500-meter hike takes us to an archaeological site, where we interpret the meaning behind the rock paintings and the techniques used to create them.

We conclude the tour by enjoying a delicious Patagonian meal in a truly unforgettable setting.

San Ignacio Jesuit Ruins & Wanda Mines Tour

This full-day excursion departs early in the morning toward the southern region of Misiones province. We begin by visiting the Wanda Mines, one of the earliest mining sites discovered and exploited in the area. Accompanied by expert local guides, we explore open-pit and underground galleries where semi-precious stones such as agates, amethysts, topazes, and quartz crystals are extracted. The tour includes fascinating explanations about the geological formation of the region and the mining process.

Following Route 12, you’ll enjoy scenic views of tea and yerba mate plantations, rural towns, and lush subtropical vegetation along the way.

The journey continues to the San Ignacio Mini Jesuit Ruins, one of the most impressive examples of the Jesuit-Guaraní missions built in the 17th century. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruins allow you to step back in time through remarkably preserved structures such as the temple, workshops, family dwellings, and central plaza. The site's layout offers a clear view of the original urban planning developed by the Jesuits and the Guaraní people.

After the guided visit, guests have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or browse the artisan markets. The tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
