2 day Wow Cape Escape

Leave the city-lights of Cape Town or Stellenbosch behind as this journey heads straight into the heart of the Overberg region. First stop: Kayamandi township, where a local Xhosa host welcomes you with authentic home-cooked treats, warm stories, and a friendly smile. Then it’s off to meet the waddling African penguins of Betty’s Bay before cruising along the jaw-dropping Clarence Drive to whale-famous Hermanus.

Spend the night close to the ocean, and if you're lucky (June to November), you might even spot whales from the cliffside paths. Day two kicks off with a visit to a big cat sanctuary, where you’ll safely observe rescued lions, leopards, and tigers while learning about the threats pushing these incredible creatures toward extinction. Then choose your own adventure: zipline (at extra cost) through Elgin’s treetops like a superhero, or snack your way through a quirky market and stretch your legs on a scenic mountain walk. You’ll be back in Cape Town by sunset, with a big smile and even bigger memories of your adventures of the magical cape coastal region.

• Travel distance in total is about 350km with about 150km / 2-3 hours driving per day (excluding game drives time and distance)
• This is a small group tour with no more than 25 people per vehicle and/or tour guide. More than 1 vehicle might be travelling on the same tour. Subject to availability, this itinerary can run in a different or reverse order. 
• This scheduled group tour requires a minimum number of travellers to operate. Dorm room options usually needs 4 to 6 people to confirm the tour. Private rooms requires less to confirm the departure.
• This tour is not suitable for children younger than 10 years of age. Please contact us for an exclusive private tour quote for your family. Children between 10 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult. 
• As per usual, wildlife is unpredictable and animal sightings can't be guaranteed - but that makes safari experiences even more exciting as you'll never know what you'll find around the next bend.
