After breakfast at your hotel, your professional tour guide and driver will meet you in the lobby to begin an enriching day of exploration.
We start our journey with a visit to the Rolous Group, home to some of the earliest permanent structures built by the Khmer Empire. These temples mark the beginning of classical Khmer architecture. First, explore the peaceful Lolei Temple, known for its detailed carvings and ancient charm. Continue to Preah Ko, meaning "Sacred Bull," famous for its sandstone carvings and dedication to Hindu deities. Then, visit Bakong Temple, the largest and most impressive temple in the group, and a prototype for later Khmer temple-mountains.
After immersing in history, we head towards the Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. At the lake's port, we board a private boat to visit Kampong Phluk floating village, one of the largest floating villages located on the lake's eastern side. As we cruise, witness the unique daily life of the Khmer people living in floating houses, schools, and markets. Glide through the serene flooded mangrove forest, a peaceful and picturesque environment perfect for photography and reflection.
After exploring this extraordinary community, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the peaceful Wat Bo Pagoda, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Siem Reap, adorned with beautiful murals and a spiritual atmosphere. Next, discover the fine craftsmanship of Artisans Angkor, a social enterprise that preserves traditional Cambodian arts and crafts. Then, stroll through the Royal Residence Park, a tranquil green space located near the King’s residence and home to sacred trees and the iconic Preah Ang Chek shrine.
Finally, return to your hotel for a well-deserved rest. Overnight in Siem Reap.
