Details about a cycling holiday in South Tyrol
Always along the Adige, always a little downhill – and therefore with a certain feeling of tailwind: this is the bike route from Merano to Lake Garda. The seven-day cycle tour through South Tyrol is particularly popular with leisure cyclists and beginners, as the route is easy and offers enough time for sightseeing and relaxation.
Useful information about a cycling holiday through South Tyrol
The starting point of the cycle tour is the Mediterranean spa town of Merano. The best way to enjoy the sunset on the promenade is with a glass of wine! The next day, the week of cycling begins with a ride on the Venosta Railway towards Resia pass. The daily tours are between 30 and 70 kilometres long and follow mostly flat paths. Only smaller climbs to Lake Caldaro and Lake Garda can be expected.

Castles and palaces (Juval Castle of the mountaineer Reinhold Messner) are located on or high above the path. You can enjoy views of the impressive Ortler massif and the Stilfserjoch while cycling. The route can be shortened individually.
