Day 2

Wellington - Marlborough Sounds

Today, set off on a picturesque journey as you cross the Cook Strait aboard the Interislander ferry, bound for Picton. From there, a private sea transfer awaits to whisk you into the serene beauty of Queen Charlotte Sound. Your destination - the remote and tranquil Furneaux Lodge.

Day 3

Marlborough Sounds

Enjoy a leisurely day exploring Marlborough Sounds at your own pace. You have the option to hike Queen Charlotte Track's most scenic stretch, stay at Furneaux Lodge for some fishing, or take shorter and more relaxed walks from the lodge. Alternatively, join a fascinating Paua Pearl Tour guided personally by the owners, where you'll learn about the cultivation of New Zealand's prized Blue Pearl. Marvel at paua in various stages of growth, from larval tanks to mature shells adorned with pearls, gaining insights into this unique marine industry.

Day 4

Marlborough Sounds - Christchurch

Depart from the tranquil Marlborough Sounds and travel to Picton, where you'll begin your journey southward towards Christchurch. En route, pass through the coastal town of Kaikōura, renowned for its marine life and stunning coastal scenery.

Christchurch - Lake Ohau

Begin your day by exploring Christchurch's city sights, discovering vibrant precincts, riverside markets, lush gardens and an exciting dining scene. Then journey to the brilliant bright blue waters of Lake Tekapo, where you'll visit the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd. Built in 1935, this historically significant stone church was the first in the Mackenzie Basin and is accompanied by a poignant bronze collie statue, a tribute to these diligent working dogs that have shaped the region. Continue your adventure to the exquisite Mt. Cook Lakeside Retreat, where you'll indulge in a sophisticated High Tea complemented by local sparkling wine and the majestic views of Lake Pukaki. Day 6

Lake Ohau - Queenstown

Your first stop is the delightful Mrs. Jones Orchard, where you can purchase fresh, locally grown produce and take a stroll through the adjacent English-style rose garden. Next, visit the renowned Highlands Museum, a paradise for car enthusiasts and novices alike. Whether it's Michael Schumacher’s legendary Benetton Formula One car or the astonishing $4.2 million Aston Martin Vulcan, these remarkable machines captivate all who see them. The museum is a treasure trove of New Zealand motorsport history, featuring not only rare cars but also unique attractions like an authentic American sheriff’s patrol car. As the day winds down, prepare for an unforgettable evening at the Bathhouse, an elegant dining establishment spectacularly situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Savor a sumptuous meal while taking in vast, serene lakeside views, creating a perfect finale to your day.

Day 8

Queenstown - Milford Sound

Start the day with a journey along the Devil's Staircase, with its dramatic landscapes leading you to the lakeside town of Te Anau. Here, you'll enjoy a delightful lunch at a local farm, immersing yourself in the authentic flavors and hospitality of the region. Continue your adventure through the World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park sighting glaciers, and mountain ranges en route to the amazing Mirror Lake before driving through the hand-hewn Homer Tunnel. Spend the night aboard the iconic Milford Mariner and wake up in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The cruise style is relaxed, allowing plenty of time to view the fiord’s spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains, and diverse wildlife such as seals, penguins, and dolphins. Hear from the specialist nature guide on board or choose to explore the shoreline by kayak or small boat.
