On the way to Arenal, we’ll visit the famous town of Sarchí, known as the birthplace of Costa Rica’s artisans. Here, you'll find a variety of local crafts and souvenirs, as well as the world’s largest ox cart—recognized by the Guinness Book of Records. This impressive cart stands two stories high, measures 14 meters (45 feet) long, and weighs two tons. It’s made entirely of cedar wood and hand-painted with vibrant traditional designs and took 70 days to complete. As we continue the journey, enjoy the scenic drive through agricultural landscapes including pineapple fields, mango orchards, ornamental plant nurseries, and cattle farms, until we reach the charming town of La Fortuna. There, you’ll enjoy lunch at a cozy restaurant with stunning views of the volcano. The Arenal Volcano, once thought dormant, dramatically erupted in 1968 and is now a must-see destination. Visitors often witness white plumes of smoke rising from its perfect conical shape—a truly unforgettable sight. Afterward, relax in the therapeutic waters of Baldi Hot Springs, featuring 25 natural mineral pools with temperatures ranging from 93°F to 152°F. The waters are certified by the National Water Laboratory (L.N.A.) for their medicinal properties, offering a rejuvenating experience for every preference. To end the day, savor a delicious dinner before heading back to your hotel in Arenal. Please remember to take all your belongings with you.

INSURANCE: Our passengers, while transported in vehicles owned by CENTRAL AMERICAN TOURS, are covered by insurance from the Instituto Nacional de Seguros.
RESPONSIBILITY: CENTRAL AMERICAN TOURS as a recognized tour company, acts only as an agent for the passenger in regard to travel, whether by car, motor coach, railroad, boat or plane and assumes no liability during such travel for injury damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned whether by reason or defect in any vehicle or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts of default of any company or person engaged in covering the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour.
