Today, we’ll pass by the Corinth Canal before we get to the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus by driving along the coastline for about 2 hours. Astonish at this most famous amphitheaters in classical Greek architecture.
Our next stop will be Nafplio, one of the most beautiful towns in Greece and once a military fortress. The Palamidi Castle which stands on a 216-meter rock is its main attraction.
In the afternoon, drive for about half an hour to Mycenae, famous for its castles, domed tombs and exquisite gold and silver artifacts. Explore the famous ancient city of Mycenae and the Archaeological Site of Mycenae including the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Wall and the Treasury of Atreus.
After the tour, we’ll leave Mycenae and make a stop in Tripoli on the way. After driving for about 2 and a half hours, we’ll arrive at Olympia, the birthplace of Olympic Games. Check into the hotel and have a good rest.

Olympia is the most important religious and sports center in Greece where the Olympic Games were held for the first time in 776 BC. Today starts with the statue of Zeus, the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Pelops, and then a visit to the stadium.
After visit, we will head to the port and take an one-hour ferry to Zakynthos. After check-in on arrival, you may arrange the itinerary by yourself.

After breakfast, let’s head to Zakynthos Pier and have a boat tour to explore the Zakynthos Island! The cruise departs at 9 am and returns at about 5 pm. We will pass Tsilivi and Planos beaches, the sandy beaches of Alikanas and Alikes, and arrive at the famous Blue Caves, featuring for the consecutive and nested holes. Here, maybe you would be lucky to find some dolphins.
Our next stop will be Shipwreck Beach (Navagio Beach), one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Then we will move on to the beautiful fishing village of Porto Vromi and explore the Dolphin Cave slowly. Next, move southward until we come to Keri which features a narrow and rocky beach, a promontory, a gazebo and two caves, Marithi Cave and Damianos Cave. Watch the sunset at the Lighthouse Town. Later, we will arrive at the Laganas Bay. There you can see the famous and rare sea turtle Caretta in the Mediterranean. The last stop today is Marathonisi, and you can discover turtle. Then we will return to Zakynthos Town along the coast of Porto Zoro, Banana, Porto Roma and Argassi.

Around 8 am, a 1-hour ferry ride will take you to Kyllini port, from where we’ll drive across Europe's largest Rion-Antirion Bridge, and reach the beautiful seaside town Nafpaktos before noon. Here, explore the Venetian Castle of Nafpaktos (exterior on Tuesdays) and the Nafpaktos Venetian Port before continuing our road trip to Delphi.
We will finally reach Delphi after lunch. Follow the guide to see the Temple of Apollo to know about the divine oracles of Delphi. Then we’ll continue to see the Ancient Stadium of Delphi, the Ancient Theater of Delphi with a capacity of more than 5,000 spectators, and of course the Delphi Archaeological Museum, which is with a rich collection of bronze vessels, human sculptures, gold, silver and ivory artifacts. After that, we will visit Arachova, the most famous winter resort in Greece. Finally we will pass through central Greece and Trikala and check into the hotel at town Kalambaka.

You may have heard Hayao Miyazaki's famous anime "Castle in the Sky". This morning, we are going to visit the inspiration of this anime – Meteora, which means “suspended in the air” in Greek. We’ll visit two of the six monasteries due to the opening time of them. The Great Monastery of St. Varlaam was built on top of a high rock in the 16th century. And the 15th-century Monastery of St. Stephan has a museum exhibiting some Byzantine and Christian objects inside. In the afternoon, drive and pass by the small towns of Domokos, Thermopyles and Kamena Vourla which is along the sea. After 4 hours’ transfer, we’ll arrive in Athens and check into the hotel.

Today you will visit the University of Athens, the Parliament Building, the National Library, the Presidential Palace and the traditional Presidential Guard. The process of changing the guard is worth watching. You can take a photo with the guard, but please don't touch them. Then we will go to Acropolis. The most famous sites are the Parthenon, the Corridor, the Temple of Erechtheum and the Temple of Athena Victory. After visiting the Temple of Zeus, we will head to the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games was held. This is the only large-scale stadium constructed entirely of marble in the world.
After lunch, we will drive about 70 kilometers south to Cape Sounion to visit the temple of Poseidon surrounded by the sea on three sides. Return to the hotel after the visit.

In the morning, the driver will send you to Pireaus Port to take an early morning boat to Santorini. After about 7.5 hours, reach the destination at around 3 pm. The private local driver in Santorini will pick you up and escort you to the hotel. Then the rest of the day is free for you.

After breakfast, the arranged bus will pick you up from the pick-up point and take you to the Athinios Port for a wooden boat ride to the Volcano of Santorini. Climb up the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni to see the Aegean Sea, and enjoy swimming in the nearby hot spring.
Then continue by boat to Therasia Island, a beautiful island where you will enjoy lunch at your own expense. After lunch, you can swim or wander around the Manolas village. Then we’ll disembark at Athinios Port at around 5 pm and enjoy sunset in the famous town of Oia, which is known for its blue domed churches and white buildings. Finally, the bus driver will escort you back to the pick-up point.

There are no guided activities today. You could feel the leisurely life of the local by strolling around the narrow streets, or look through what we recommend.

The morning is left for your own arrangement. Later, the driver will send you to the port of Santorini at the agreed time for you to take the boat that departs around noon and sails about 7.5 hours to return to Athens. Upon arrival near midnight, the local driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Booking Terms and Conditions
Thank you for your interest in our AgateTravel Global Tours. The following Terms and Conditions are in place to protect you and your party member, our distinguished guests, and us, AgateTravel, in booking a tour. Please read them carefully and make sure you fully understand these agreements before you confirm your booking.
Reservation and Payment
Once we receive your tour inquiry, our one-to-one professional travel consultant will work with you from the beginning of customizing itinerary to the completion of the trip. You will enjoy real personalized service and our efficient response within 24 hours.
A tour reservation will be confirmed after receiving your tour deposit, which is 20% of the tour total payment. By paying the deposit, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions.
Under special circumstances, a higher amount of down payment will be required to ensure your flight or hotel reservations.
The final or full payment is required 60 days ahead of tour start date. For each payment received, we will provide you with a receipt.
Methods of payments: We mainly accept payment by Wire/Bank Transfer and Credit Card. Any handling charge associated with the payment is your responsibility. WeChat and AliPay can also be accepted if you use them.
Cancellation and Refund
We understand that cancellations happen sometimes due to unexpected situations. To alleviate your concerns, we aim to offer as the most favorable cancellation policy as we can to reduce your loss.
The reservation deposit (20% of the tour total payment) is non-refundable if you cancel the tour, and it will not be calculated into the charge of the cancellation percentage.
The following cancellation charge will be applied to the remaining tour cost:
a. More than 45 days before the arrival day: no cancellation charge from us, except for the actual losses caused by air/hotel/cruise cancellation.
b. 45 to 15 days before: 30% of the remaining tour cost.
c. 14 to 8 days before: 50% of the remaining tour cost.
d. Within 7 days or no show: 100% of the remaining tour cost.
If there are any additional cancellation fees imposed by the service providers other than AgateTravel, which may include but not be limited to local travel agency, airlines, trains, hotels, cruises, etc. You will be responsible for the part.
Your cancellation request should be sent to us via email. We will calculate the refund from the day we receive your written cancellation request and process the refund to you within 20 working days.
Alteration of the Itinerary
There is no extra service charge for any alterations made prior to the tour. However, you will be responsible for any possible additional cost caused by reservation changes.
After the tour starts, any extra expenses caused by clients’ own alterations will be added. Any unused portion is non-refundable nor exchangeable.
Private Tours
A private tour can be thoroughly customized for you and your family or friends exclusively, according to your own specific requirements and interests. We offer professional suggestions, while, the trip length, travel dates, and hotel accommodation level are decided by you, and during the trip, you will enjoy maximum flexibility within reason to discuss with your guide on daily departure time, sightseeing time and meal time. If your trip includes a cruise journey, the onshore excursions will be subject to the arrangements of the cruise company.
Passports and Visa
Please make sure your passport is valid with at least 6 months validity before the start of your tour.
You are advised to verify and defer to the visa policy of the countries you are going to visit at the nearest embassy or consulate.
Dietary Requirements
Please inform us if you have food allergies of any type.
Vegetarian, vegan or gluten free meals can be arranged. If you are a vegetarian, please confirm if you eat egg, cheese, yoghurt, and fish.
Tell us your food dislikes eg no peppers/onions/ mushrooms/coriander or no pork/chicken/fish/lamb/beef or other foods.
Additional Information
It’s highly recommended to purchase travel insurance before your trip in order to minimize any unexpected losses and damages.
Please be sure to check carefully your international and domestic air tickets you purchased so that you are fully aware of the policies of the airline companies.
When checking in at some hotels, guests are expected to provide a valid credit card authorization to guarantee any possible personal consumption (e.g. laundry) during your stay.
Responsibility
As a tour operator, we are dedicated to designing, promoting and selling tour products that cover certain travel services, including guide and driver service, land transportation, air transportation, cruise, excursions and accommodation that are reserved from different suppliers. The suppliers are just independent contractors of our tour products, neither our agents nor employees.
Although we will assist with booking air and/or cruise transportation for you, we act as your agent, not as an agent of the airline and/or cruise company. However, we promise that we are responsible for the willful or negligent acts of our partner travel agents for the land services.
We reserve the right to adjust the scheduled trains or flights we have arranged in tours, and we make sure your trip will be carried out smoothly. If unfortunately the train or flight arranged is cancelled or chartered, we will discuss with you for an alternative plan.
We take all benefits and losses of any fluctuations, lower or higher in airfares, cruise fares, hotel room rates, currency exchange, taxes, or fuel surcharges after we have received the full payment. And we reserve the right to correct promotional or pricing errors or to increase the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, cruise fares, hotel room rates, currency exchange, taxes, or fuel surcharges before we receive your reservation deposit.
To help customers have a better understanding on levels of the hotel accommodation arranged in our tour itineraries, we display stars to some hotels depending on their accommodation facilities, services and average review scores on platforms. Please be aware that the actual star ranking might be different from that of local regulations, independent third parties or accommodation providers themselves.
We are not responsible for acts of terrorism, political unrest, war, natural hazards, flights and cruises delay or cancellation. But we will try the best to help our clients.
We are not responsible for any unauthorized extra services that the guests book directly with the local tour supplier, guide or driver beyond our confirmed itinerary. Guests will take full responsibility for any loss on shopping, extra sightseeing or activity etc., while for some disputes, we can help to mediate.
