AYUBOWAN-! Welcome to Sri Lanka, a land like no other, tour around the island exploring ancient history and culture, the lush green tea estates and waterfalls, the amazing wildlife, authentic foods and the beautiful golden sandy beaches.

DAY PLAN:

• Upon arrival at Colombo CMB airport, you will meet your tour leader and you will be transferred to your hotel (we can pick you up from any hotel in Colombo or Negombo as well). The first destination will be Negombo Coastal Town (20min away from the airport), which has long been known as the most popular beach in Sri Lanka, famous for its golden sandy beach, food, and fun.
• For day one, we haven’t planned any activity, thus you are free to arrive in Sri Lanka at any time. If your flight arrives early in the day, relax at the beach and pool of your cosy hotel.
• Evening, you may have a walk along the seashore while enjoying the beautiful sunset and the pleasant evening atmosphere of the beachside. 

Overnight stay in a seafront hotel in Negombo.

After having a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will have a wonderful coastal drive toward Wilpattu National Park. 

DAY PLAN:

• En route, visit Munneshwaram Hindu Kovil.  Thereafter proceeds to Wilpattu National Park. 
• Afternoon, visit Wilapattu National Park. We choose to visit this park, rather than the more touristy Yala National Park because we believe it is less crowded and offers better experiences. Also, the same animals can be seen here as in Yala. Enjoy a 4x4 jeep ride searching for leopards hanging on trees or whispering through the bushes, crocodiles patrolling the river or wild elephants drinking water and playing around under the evening sunset. 

Overnight stay in a cosy safari resort at Wilpattu/Anuradhapura

DAY PLAN:

• On the way to Sigiriya, you will visit the ancient Ritigala Forest Monastery, a serene and historic site nestled within a nature reserve. Known for its mysterious stone pathways and ruins, Ritigala was once a meditation retreat for Buddhist monks and is surrounded by lush forest and rare flora.
• Upon arrival to Sigiriya, you’ll enjoy a wonderful Cultural Village Tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It will start with a Tuk-Tuk ride towards the farmer’s house where you will enjoy the typical Sri Lankan countryside hospitality.  Thereafter, you will have a canoeing boat ride across the lake to capture the beautiful scenery of Sigiriya. Finally it will end with a cart ride through the lush green rural village. 
• In the morning, you will visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), since it is the best time to witness and capture the sunset. King Kashyapa (477 – 495 BC) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes.
• If you are interested, you could also experience an Ayurvedic herbal massage at your resort.

Over night stay in a nature friendly resort in Sigiriya. 

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or a coffee, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Dambulla city, which is the central point of the cultural triangle on the island.

DAY PLAN:

• Visit Polonnaruwa (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), in 1070 King Vijayabahu chose this place as his kingdom, one of the most ancient in the history of Sri Lanka. Cycling through Polonnaruwa's ancient locations is a wonderful experience.

Overnight stay in a nature friendly resort in Sigiriya. 

After breakfast, proceed towards Kandy, the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and bio-diverse rainforests. Kandy is also famous for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

DAY PLAN:

• En route to Kandy, visit the Royal Cave Temple (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). Dambulla has the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 meters over the surrounding plains and houses 5 cave temples with some of the most unique and significant historical drawings.
• Afternoon, visit the Temple of Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE).
• Evening, you’ll enjoy a cultural dance show which is inspired by Sri Lankan arts, traditional dance, and cultural heritage.

Overnight stay in mount view hotel at Kandy. 

After breakfast, you’ll have a wonderful journey towards Sri Lanka's tea region of Nuwara Eliya. It is often referred to as “Little England” because many of the buildings in this city retain from the British colonial period, such as the Queen's Cottage, the General's House, the Grand Hotel, the Hill Club, and the Town Post Office.

DAY PLAN:

• After breakfast, you will visit the Tiesh gem museum; Get to know more about the world-renowned and most prestigious Sri Lankan gems and jewelry in the gem museum tour
• In the morning visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, which is known as one of the best botanical gardens in Asia
• En-route to Nuwara Eliya, while driving through the cold and misty hills that host lush Green Tea Plantations, stop at a tea factory to observe the rich tradition of making Ceylon tea kept alive up to date. Make sure to end your factory visit in style over a perfectly blended cup of tea.
• The next day, you can choose to visit either Ambewela Farm, known for its scenic dairy pastures and fresh milk products, or a nearby Strawberry Farm, where you can learn about strawberry cultivation and enjoy freshly picked berries.
• Afterwards, visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden, one of the oldest botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. Located at the base of the Hakgala Rock, it features a wide variety of exotic and native plants, including orchids, ferns, and roses, all set within a cool, misty climate.
• In the evening, if you prefer, you can visit Gregory Lake, a picturesque spot ideal for a relaxing walk, boat ride, or simply enjoying the cool climate and scenic surroundings.

DAY PLAN:

• In the morning, enjoy a scenic and memorable train ride from Nanu Oya to Haputale. This journey offers stunning views of lush tea plantations, misty mountains, and charming hill country landscapes.
• Upon arrival in Haputale, you can visit the Haputale View Point, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the southern plains, tea estates, and surrounding mountains, especially stunning on a clear day.
• Afterwards, you can enjoy some leisure time at your hotel, relax, take in the peaceful surroundings, or simply unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Overnight Stay in Haputale

DAY PLAN:

• Explore the village; Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village because it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. The Nine Arch Bridge, a major tourist attraction in Ella, is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks, and cement without using a single piece of steel. Ella is an excellent place for walking and its most famous trekking route is “Mini Adam’s Peak”.
• Afterwards, you will head toward Udawalawe National Park, a popular wildlife reserve known for its large population of elephants and diverse birdlife. The journey takes you from the cool highlands to the warmer lowlands, offering a change in scenery along the way.

In the morning, continue your coastal drive towards Galle. After an amazing journey through the mountains and waterfalls, you will finally arrive at the world-famous beachside of Sri Lanka. In the morning, you will be heading toward the southern coast while enjoying the magnificent view of the Indian Ocean. 

­ DAY PLAN:

• Early in the morning, you'll embark on a safari in Udawalawe National Park. This is the best time to spot wildlife, especially elephants, as well as deer, buffalo, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat.
• Thereafter, you will head toward Galle, a historic coastal city known for its well-preserved Dutch Fort, charming colonial architecture, and beautiful seaside views. The drive offers a scenic transition from the inland landscapes to the southern coastline.
• Upon ariival, visit Galle Fort (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). It is the intersection where classic Dutch and British architecture meets a tropical setting, creating a vivid atmosphere in beauty. Walk through the streets listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and observe how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions nowadays flooding cultural enthusiasts on a global scale. Historical Galle Lighthouse stands proudly on the southeast tip of the fort.  
• Thereafter, you’ll visit a Turtle Hatchery Center where baby turtles learn to take that first swim and injured adults are rehabilitated back into the wild. 

Overnight stay in a cosy beach resort at Hikkaduwa / Mirissa 

Hikkaduwa is a delightful sandy beach that was a well-kept secret in the past, but now more restaurants and pubs are opening to visitors. It's a magnificent place characterized by white sands and coconut palms growing right from the edge of the sea as if in imitation of a postcard of a perfect tropical beach. 

DAY PLAN:

• After breakfast, you may grab a towel to relax on the beach while enjoying a cocktail or a chill beer under the shade of a palm tree. 
• Optional activities, Jet Ski, Banana & Tube Boating, Diving, Snorkeling, Surfing, Fishing & Deep-Sea fishing are few among the popular lists.

Overnight stay in a sea view hotel at Mirissa / Hikkaduwa . 

After breakfast, you’ll visit Sri Lanka's capital city of Colombo, which has an interesting history running back to the fifth century. Even in ancient times, this was an important port city in the East-West Sea trade. Nowadays it has become a bustling modern town with a unique atmosphere. The colorful streets, restaurants, and modern shopping malls attract hordes of locals and tourists alike.

DAY PLAN:

• Upon arrival at Colombo, you can visit all the highlighted places in the city such as Red Mosque, Gangarama temple, Independent Square, and so on.
• Afterward, perhaps you may pop into a famous and internationally renowned restaurant in Colombo to end your trip over an unforgettable meal.
• Thereafter, proceed to the airport in time for your return flight or we drop you back at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
