Your adventure kicks off with a pick-up in Reykjavík, heading first to the Golden Circle. The journey begins with a scenic drive to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll delve into both historical and geological wonders. Explore the dramatic rift valley and discover the significance of Þingvellir, the birthplace of the Icelandic Parliament (Alþingi), founded in 930 AD. 

Next, you'll visit the Geysir geothermal area, home to erupting geysers. Watch in awe as Strokkur geyser shoots hot water high into the air every 10-15 minutes. The adventure continues to the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural marvels. Here, you can admire the powerful cascades before enjoying a lunch break at the site.

After lunch, you'll head towards the South Coast, starting with a stop at the picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Take a walk behind its curtain of water for a unique view. A short drive away lies the impressive Skógafoss waterfall, renowned for its towering height and thundering force. Be sure to capture breathtaking photos as you feel the mist from this mighty fall.

Your next destination is the famous black sand beach of Reynisfjara, known for its striking basalt columns and towering sea stacks. Explore this surreal landscape and hear the intriguing folklore tied to the area. Finally, you’ll head to your South Coast hotel to relax and prepare for the next day’s adventures.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you'll set off for another exciting day of exploration. Your first stop is the charming coastal village of Vík, famous for its striking black sand beaches and dramatic rock formations. Take in the breathtaking views of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks before continuing your journey.

In Vík, you have the option to join the Katla Ice Cave tour (from May until September), a magical natural wonder beneath the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Explore the ice cave, marveling at its stunning blue hues and intricate ice formations. Alternatively, you can spend some free time exploring the peaceful surroundings and soaking in the area's natural beauty. During winter months (from October until April) you'll have the option to join the Crystal Ice Cave tour from Jökulsárlón, or spend extra free time at Jökulsárlón.

After your ice cave adventure, enjoy a delicious lunch in Vík before heading to the magnificent Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon. Walk along the canyon's rim and be amazed by the vastness and beauty of this geological wonder. As you continue east, you’ll arrive at Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon filled with massive floating icebergs. Take in the mesmerizing sight and don’t forget to visit the nearby Diamond Beach, where chunks of ice from the lagoon wash ashore on the black sand, creating a stunning contrast.

By late afternoon, you'll drive to your hotel in the Höfn area, where you can relax and reflect on the day's incredible experiences.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting off on the next leg of your Icelandic adventure. Today's journey takes you to the remote and stunning eastern region of Iceland. Drive along the breathtaking coastal roads of Hvalárskriður and Þvottárskriður, arriving at Djúpivogur, a charming fishing village renowned for its picturesque harbor and dramatic mountain vistas. Take some time to explore the peaceful village and enjoy its serene coastal atmosphere. Djúpivogur is also home to the Eggs in Gleðivík, an outdoor art installation featuring sculptures of 34 local bird eggs.

Continue your drive towards Egilsstaðir. In the summer, you'll take the scenic Öxi highland road, which winds past a series of waterfalls. In the winter, the route follows the coastline, passing through several quaint fishing villages. Upon arriving in Egilsstaðir, you'll have a break to enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on the next part of your journey.

Next, travel to Borgarfjörður Eystri, a hidden gem known for its rugged beauty and puffin colonies. In the summer months (late April to late August), you'll have the chance to observe these charming seabirds in their natural habitat and explore the quiet village.

Your final stop is the Vök Baths, a geothermal oasis on the shores of Lake Urriðavatn. Relax in the warm, soothing waters while soaking in panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. For those who prefer, you can choose to explore Egilsstaðir instead of visiting the baths. Afterward, we'll regroup in Egilsstaðir and check into the hotel for the night.

After savoring a hearty breakfast and checking out of the hotel, it's time to continue your journey. Your first stop is the western side of Stuðlagil Canyon, renowned for its striking basalt columns and vibrant blue glacial river. Explore this hidden gem and marvel at the unique rock formations that make it a photographer's dream.

Next, visit Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall. Feel the immense force and hear the thunderous roar as the water plunges into the canyon below. Take a moment to absorb the magnitude and beauty of this natural spectacle. Keep in mind that during the winter we are sometimes unable to reach Dettifoss due to road conditions.

The adventure continues as you head to the Lake Mývatn area, starting with Námaskarð geothermal area. Stroll through its surreal landscapes, complete with bubbling mud pots, steaming vents, and colorful mineral deposits, offering a firsthand look at Iceland’s geothermal activity.

Next, explore the mystical lava field of Dimmuborgir, where eerie rock formations and lava pillars create an otherworldly scene. Learn about the folklore and legends tied to these dramatic landscapes.

You'll then visit Skútustaðagígar, a fascinating collection of pseudocraters formed by ancient volcanic activity. Take a walk around the crater rims and enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area.

Before concluding the day, make a stop at the beautiful Goðafoss Waterfall, steeped in historical significance. Learn about its connection to Icelandic sagas while admiring the majestic views.

After a day packed with natural wonders, you'll check into your hotel in the Akureyri area, where you can unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast before setting out to explore the charming town of Akureyri, often referred to as the "Capital of the North." Take a relaxing stroll to the harbor, where you can embark on an exciting Whale Watching Tour. Keep an eye out for majestic whales breaching the ocean’s surface, creating unforgettable memories. If you choose not to join the tour, feel free to explore the town at your own pace, checking out the lively main street, climbing the steps up to the iconic church, or visiting the beautiful botanical gardens.

On the final day of your Icelandic adventure, enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing your journey. First, drive to Grábrók, a volcanic crater offering stunning views and unique geological features. Take a short walk to the crater rim and take in the sweeping panoramas.
