This tour will take you to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda for golden monkey tracking.
You will also enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ihema and spot the Big 5 plus Big Cats in Akagera National Park.
You will visit the Iby’lwacu cultural village, the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, and the genocide memorial site in Kigali.
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am in Kigali and your day starts with a visit to the genocide memorial site.
Afterward, depart for a 2-hour drive to Musanze, the second-largest town in Rwanda, with its stunning backdrop of five volcanic mountains—the Virungas. On reaching Musanze, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda, which is a center for gorilla conservation and scientific research.

After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for your first experience of endangered species in Volcanoes National Park. The Golden Monkey Trek is normally an easy trek that takes 1-2 hours.
In the evening, you will visit the Iby’lwacu cultural village to experience the culture of the Rwandan people.

After breakfast, you will transfer from Volcanoes National Park to Akagera National Park through Kigali. On arrival at the park, we shall proceed to our accommodation.
We order lunch and later take a boat trip on Lake Ihema to watch hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores.

Enjoy early morning breakfast and start your game drives in an open-roofed vehicle. A full day game drive here offers you an opportunity to spot a variety of game including elephants, buffalos, hippos, lions, Masai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel’s zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard, and bushbuck, etc. Proceed for an evening game drive after lunch. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Have breakfast and then enjoy a morning game drive. We shall return to Kigali and you will check in at the lodge or be dropped at the airport for your departure.
