5 Day Choquequirao Trek – Private Service

• We’ll begin the day with a nutritious breakfast before hiking for 5 hours toward Maranpata, where we’ll enjoy lunch while taking in breathtaking views of Choquequirao in the distance. Afterward, we’ll continue hiking for another 2 hours to reach the archaeological site.
• In the evening, we’ll have tea time followed by dinner, and spend the night at a campsite near Choquequirao.

Lodging: Campsite

• This day is dedicated to exploring the incredible Choquequirao Archaeological Complex, a site shrouded in history and mystery. Our guide will provide detailed information about its significance and the role it played in the Inca Empire.
• After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore the site on your own, discovering hidden areas still covered by the lush vegetation of the cloud forest. Lunch and dinner will be served at the campsite, where we’ll rest for the night.

Lodging: Campsite

• After breakfast, we’ll begin the descent toward the Apurímac River, where we’ll stop to enjoy lunch in the serene surroundings. Following lunch, we’ll start a gradual 3 to 4-hour ascent to our final campsite at Cocamasana (2,300 masl / 7,546 ft). At this site, you’ll have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the Choquequirao route as the sun sets. Dinner will be served at the campsite.

• After a delicious breakfast, we’ll hike for approximately 2 hours to reach the Apurímac Canyon, where you can capture amazing photographs of the stunning landscapes. From here, our trek ends, and we’ll board our transport back to Cusco.
• Along the way, we’ll stop to visit the impressive Saywite Stone, a large carved rock representing the Inca worldview and their empire. Afterward, we’ll head to the thermal waters of Conoc, where you can relax and enjoy lunch before completing the journey to Cusco.
