Turkey's Peak Destinations by Flights 9 Day Tour

The amazing city of Istanbul would take a lifetime to see, but today we will show you some of the most historical and iconic places of the city. Home to some of the worlds most beautiful mosques such as the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Previously Constantinople and the capital of the Byzantine, Roman and the Ottoman times of Turkey. Whilst under Roman rule the city thrived and the  Hippodrome was an important part of daily life with its obelisk in the centre. 

Topkapi Palace of kings, with extensive gardens that look out over the Bosphorus straights, despite it being an administrative centre for over 400 years the luxury decadence and expense is evident, the kings and their many wives and concubines lived well. Not far is the grand bazaar and no visit to Istanbul would be the same without seeing it with your own eyes a labyrinth of alleyways with thousands of shops that have been used since 1455/56 making it the oldest market in the world. In the evening at the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.

Our recommendation:

At the end of your tour, you will have free time, we recommend visiting the Spice Bazaar to enjoy the wonderful sights and smells. It is not part of your tour package, but you will love it and can make your way back to your hotel.

-The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays

-Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays

-Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesday

-Blue Mosque Entrance is limited on Fridays due to prayers, therefore we are unable to enter on Fridays.

Pickups are from hotels in central areas in the vicinities of:

Sultanahmet, Sirkeci, Laleli, Aksaray and Taksim area. Pickup from outside these areas will incur extra charges. Please speak to our crew if you have any questions.

Overnight in Istanbul

This morning you will be picked up and taken to the airport in Istanbul where you will catch a domestic flight to the breathtaking and unusual Turkish region of Cappodocia, you will be met by a member of our crew on landing and transferred to your hotel flight times can change so the rest of the day will be free. 

You will have plenty of time in the evening to relax at your hotel but if you would like to fill your evening we have two options for you.

OPTIONAL TOUR: ATV (QUAD) BIKE SAFARI

If you seek Adventure then our fully guided Quad Safari is suited to you. Ride on a sturdy quad bike and experience this landscape in a completely different way. Our Safari starts at approximately17:00 pm a great opportunity to see some fantastic views of the valleys.

This authentic show with great food and folk dancing from different regions across Turkey, where the music and the costumes are both colourful and unforgettable. This tour costs extra.

Overnight in Cappadocia

This morning after breakfast you will start your North Cappadocia Tour, visiting many of the most amazing sights of the region including Goreme open-air museum, the panoramic views over the valley at Esentepe. Devrent Valley which is one of the most photograph areas as many of the stones here have been sculpted by the winds over thousands of years, many look like everyday objects but one of the largest and most realistic is the famous camel rock now fenced off to stop tourists from riding it, yes they did.

The day will lead you through Monks Valley, (Pasabag) and on to see the famous pottery at Avanos a skilled craft that has been handed down through families and is thriving today. You will also visit the Three Beauties one of the largest and strangest sculptures in the valley.

When the tour is over you will be taken to your accommodation in the Cappadocia region

The sky may be full of a million balloons but the feeling is yours alone. If you want to experience this breathtaking activity then we will arrange all the details for you even the champagne, Cappadocia’s lunar landscape takes on a new shape from above and there is nowhere on earth like it. This extra activity takes place before your full-day south Cappadocia tour and costs extra.

South Cappadocia Tour

There are so many valleys each with something new, unique and amazing to see from Rose valley and Love valley to Cavusin village where homes and hotels are carved out of the rocks. You will visit Guvercin Koy which translated means pigeon valley and as you look around you will see small holes in every rock face, fence on poles in trees, in fact, everywhere you look there are thousands of pigeons.

The underground city is one of the most impressive places of the Cappadocia region and on earth and therefore not to be missed. Over the last 2000 years, early Christians have sought refuge here and many civilisations have made this their home, they are large, complex and multilayered consisting of homes, schoolhouses, storerooms, animal stalls, churches and even an air conditioning system and an efficient waste disposal system there are even storerooms for the dead. A remarkable test of man's ability to survive.

In the early evening, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Izmir, on arrival we will meet you and take you to your hotel in the Ephesus region.

Overnight in Ephesus

This amazing city has an atmosphere that you have to experience for yourself, this beautiful city was home to over a quarter of a million people 3000 years ago, it is remarkable that so much has survived from the main street to the latrines the brothel to the library of Celsus and on to the Agora and amphitheatre. As you walk these worn stone streets the past will come alive.

Not far, just outside the city limits are two other places that you will visit. The temple of Artemis one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, although much of the temple has gone the foundations show us the grand scale, the largest building of its time. On a nearby mountainside, you will visit the last known home of the virgin Mary, mother of Christ, its widely believed that john bought her here after the death of her son to peacefully live out the last of her days, a small humble home with a baptismal font and small alter.

Overnight in Ephesus

Another incredible landscape today will fill your senses, Pamukkale, a mountainside, where natural thermal waters enriched with calcium have made their way to the surface for millions of years falling into the strange pools that cascade downwards getting larger and larger, you can walk on some parts of this amazing place, above the cascading pools is the ancient city of Hierapolis, as people came to renew and heal themselves in the therapeutic waters, this city is beautiful grew and has one of the most amazing amphitheatres and some of the most highly decorated carved sarcophagi.

In the evening, you will be taken to Denizli to the local bus station, you will catch a bus to the Mediterranean city of Antalya where we will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Overnight in Antalya

Sitting on the edge of the Mediterranean and jam-packed with history and incredible beauty  Antalya is a large modern city, you will be picked up and taken to one of the most ancient parts of the city called Kaleici which translated means ‘’ inside the castle’’ this area has cobbled stoned streets and Hadrians Gate, the Hidirlik tower and the main square, all part of the original city encompassed by a mighty wall. The next part of the tour takes you to the waterfalls of Antalya this cruise will be a heavenly moment of relaxation.

Later you will take a cable car to the highest part of the city with the best views not only over this vast metropolis but also the Olympos mountains in the distance. 

At the end of the day, we will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Overnight in Antalya

After breakfast on your last morning with us, we say goodbye and take you to the airport by private transfer for your onward flight. We wish you a safe journey and hope that this 9-day tour is one that will stay in your heart forever
