From Gentian to Riesling Wine
The morning of a cycle holiday on the Mur Cycle Path begins with a look out of your hotel window. What do you see? Green hills and forests, for which Styria is famous, and small charming Austrian towns and villages. A little further along the route you meet the Mur every day and it accompanies you to Bad Radkersburg. The special thing about it: you’re always travelling a little downhill on the Mur! The Austrian part of the Mur Cycle Path is 330 kilometres long and begins in St Michael in Lungau in Salzburg. On the seventh day of your cycling holiday you can watch the landscape change – from the mountainous Lungau to the lush green hills of Styria.

Useful information about cycling holidays in Salzburg and Styria
Your cycling holiday begins with your own journey to St. Michael im Lungau. You can get your high-quality bike in this tranquil town in the Salzburger Land. Over the next few days you will continue to move eastwards before your cycle tour ends in Bad Radkersburg on the Slovenian border. The daily rides are always on cycle paths and are between 25 and 65 kilometres long, but are usually easy to master. Recommendation: Extend your holiday in Styria with a visit to the Heiltherme Bad Redkersburg. The mineral-rich water is a blessing for strained muscles.
