We start the tour by visiting a percussion workshop, where we will meet the master of rhythms who will introduce us to the famous atabaques, rum, rumpi and lê that are musical instruments usually played in camdomblé ceremonies . We will experience and learn the beat of the drums and the African and Brazilian rhythms that enchants visitors from around the world in a truly immersive musical experience.
Right after, we will meet the capoeira master, where we will exchange some information and learn a little more about this art that was brought by the slaves and that today represents so much the local culture worldwide. The next part will be to enjoy the dance to the sound of the berimbau . In this class, you will learn the swing and some of the main movements used in the most traditional cultural manifestation of Bahia, Capoeira. It will be a time of learning and a lot of relaxation.
Then, we will use the public transport to go to the largest and most traditional fair in Salvador, the “Feira de São Joaquim”. An exotic and unique fair, a wonderful place to have a real interaction with the local people and taste the spices and secrets of the local culture and observe the immense variety of stalls aimed at African Cults. We will end our tour once again using public transport that will take us from the Fair to the Lacerda Elevator, where we will go up to the Historic Center.
