Selous Game Reserve

Transfer by road from Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere NP ( Sunset Boating Safari experience ): Today, we will pick you up from Dar es Salaam Airport or from your accommodation in Dar es Salaam and start our beautiful journey to Selous National Park in a 4x4 luxury jeep. The drive takes about 4 hours. Once we arrive, we will sit for a packed lunch at the Lodge. Thereafter, we will return to River Rufiji for an evening and sunset boat safari. Later on, we will go back to our accommodation for dinner and relaxation overnight. Sunset Boat Trip, Nyerere National Park Enjoy Tanzania's best boat safari when we take you out on the Rufiji River, which runs alongside (and into) Nyerere National Park. You'll almost certainly see hippos and crocodiles in the water, and you never quite know what's going to come down to the river's edge to drink. Selous Game Reserve

Game Drive, Evening Dinner with River View, and Sunset: After breakfast 0700am, you will depart for Nyerere National Park in a 4x4 safari jeep equipped with seat belts, open sides, binoculars, and plenty of space, allowing you to comfortably see the wildlife. Enjoy lunch at a suitable spot inside the national park. In the evening, we will drive back to our accommodation for a sunset dinner close to the river, with a beautiful view. The Selous Game Reserve, now renamed Nyerere National Park, is a protected area in southern Tanzania. It covers a total area of 50,000 km² (19,000 sq mi) and has additional buffer zones. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to its wildlife diversity and undisturbed nature. Some of the diverse wildlife of the miombo include the African bush elephant, south-central black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, lion, African wild dog, African buffalo, Masai giraffe, plains zebra, and Nile crocodile. Selous Game Reserve

Morning Bush walking Safari and Transfer to Dar Es Salaam: After breakfast, we will go on a sunrise walking safari. After a few hours of walking, we will transfer back to Dar es Salaam, where our safari ends. Walking safaris offer a fantastic opportunity to get close to nature and learn about the smaller species and the bush itself. It's an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed natural reserve. While you may spot giraffes or walk in the footsteps of elephants, our walking safaris are designed to allow you to learn about the aspects of the ecosystem that you might miss from a vehicle or boat, the intricate details of the animals' habitat. You'll learn to identify animal tracks and signs, and hear fascinating information about the insects, trees, and colorful birdlife. Accommodation: No accommodation Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch

As Akondo Adventures, we have our own safari jeep: adopted 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser that prioritizes safety and comfort, offering you a smooth and private safari experience. We have a 7-seater, with 1×1 seating and a window seat.
Every jeep is equipped with a pop-up roof and big extended windows to maximize your safari experience with a 360-degree panoramic view.
The comfortable seats have headrests, armrests, and seatbelts, and each seat is a window seat. In the vehicle, you have charging ports for your devices and a refrigerator to cool your drinks. There is also ample boot space at the back for your luggage. Additionally, we provide binoculars in our jeep.
