14-Day Small Group China Holiday with Zhangjiajie & Luxury Hotels

Our guide will meet you as you pass through the customs upon your arrival at Beijing Airport, and then our driver will transfer you to the hotel and help you check in. You can have a good rest to prepare for the exploration next day or to orient yourself to the city on your own.

Today, the first stop is Tiananmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. 

Then, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. 

At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served at a superb local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven, an imperial sacrificial altar.

Tonight, we will arrange for you to enjoy the wonderful acrobatic show in the Red Theater.

Today's highlight is to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included. We will specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. 

After visit, drive back to down and have a photo stop at the Olympic National Stadium (Bird's Nest), you will see its splendid appearance at a distance. 

Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw tour to explore the original Hutong alleys and have a chance to visit a local family.

In the morning, visit the Summer Palace, a famous imperial garden. 

Then, you guide will take you to enjoy a delicious lunch.

After lunch, you will be escorted to the train station to take the high-speed train from Beijing to Xian (4.5 to 5.5 hours). Upon landing, you driver and guide will transfer you to hotel.

Kick off your today’s tour with a visit to the man-made miracle Terracotta Army, a collection of terracotta sculptures!

After that, take a family visit to home of the first discoverer of the Terracotta Army. And then make a mini clay warrior by yourself.

In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a monumental Buddhist pagoda.

In the evening, enjoy a Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner.

Friendly Tips: Since the theater is usually not open in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we will not arrange the show during the periods.

The day begins with a visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. Here, you will practice Tai Chi with the master.

After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China.

Then explore the lively Muslim Quarter and you guide will take you to try the local food.

In the afternoon, visit the Great Mosque, the earliest Muslim house of worship in Xi'an.

Last stop will be the Small Wild Goose Pagoda which also houses Xian Museum.

Today, your guide will send you to airport to catch a morning flight to Guilin. Our guide in Guilin will greet you in the airport and transfer you to the hotel in downtown.

After a short break, your trip will start with the Reed Flute Cave. It is a karst cave boasting varies shapes of stalactites and stalagmites. 

This is followed by a visit to Elephant Trunk Hill. As the name suggests, it features a huge elephant-like rock with a long trunk.

Fresh from a hotel breakfast you will embark on the Li River Cruise. The tour guide will accompany you the whole way and provide full explanations.

Disembark at Yangshuo and walk through the West Street, and then you will be driven along country roads and take in the fresh and clean rural scenery in Yangshuo.

A scheduled stop is at a local farmer's house. Finally, we will bring you back to Guilin city.

You have the whole morning to explore Guilin city on your own. 

In the afternoon, our guide will send you to the Guilin West Railway Station for a high speed train ride to Zhangjiajie, which takes about 7 hours. Upon arrival, the guide based there will pick you up at the station’s exit and take you straight to the hotel near the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

Today, we will explore Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Accompanied by our guide, you will first take the eco-bus of the scenic area for about 20 minutes to the lower station of Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest sightseeing lift on the cliff side. Then, welcome to the magical world of Pandora in the sci-fi film Avatar on the mountaintop, Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where you can see the Hallelujah Mountain.

After a simple lunch served at a restaurant in Yuanjiajie’s mountain village, hop in the eco-bus again and move to the Yangjiajie Scenic Area, which boasts more than 200 small spots, the most acclaimed of which is the Natural Great Wall. Next, the eco-bus will take you to Tianzi Mountain to see with your own eyes the stunning sunset. Enter the highest site here, Helong Park, climb up to the observation deck to take in the majestic Imperial Brush Peak and Fairy Dispersing Flowers. Finally, take cable car down the mountain and back to your hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive you for around 40 minutes to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, the city’s third largest scenic area. When you are here, all your passion will be lighted by the noted Yuntiandu Glass Bridge, which is the highest and longest of its kind in the world.

After lunch, and we’ll reenter the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, where there is such a picturesque place that Mr. Shen Congwen, a famous Chinese writer, praised as the “Maid of Zhangjiajie”; and that is the Golden Whip Stream. This afternoon, take a relaxing hike down the level path next to this beauty. Afterwards, get back to the hotel and drift off to sleep with pleasant sightseeing memories of the day.

Spend a wonderful morning on Tianmen Mountain, the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. After meeting the guide in the hotel lobby, set out to the downtown station of Tianmen Cableway, where you will be transported to Yunmeng Summit. Then you will be welcomed by the thrilling Glass Skywalk hanging off the cliff. Next, take the 7-level escalator down to the highlight of the mountain, the Tianmen Cave.

In the afternoon, our guide will transfer you to the railway station to take a 6.5-hour high speed train to Hong Kong. Your escorted tour ends when you leave Zhangjiajie. You will enjoy a 2-day Hong Kong city exploration on your own.

Upon arrival at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, you need to go to the downtown 4-star Regal Kowloon Hotel we have booked for you by yourself.

The hotel room comes with breakfast. You will have the whole day to explore the vibrant Hong Kong on your own. You could walk westward for about 370 meters (0.2 miles) to Tsim Sha Tsui Mody Road Station. Take the KMB Bus No.8, 28, 8A or 5C for two stops to Tsim Sha Tsui Pier Station. Walk to the Star Ferry Prier to take the iconic Star Ferry to Central. Not far from the pier, at the bus terminus on the Exchange Square, you could take bus 6, 6A, 6X, 60, and 260 to Stanley, where you will be interested in the colorful Stanley Market and having lunch at an elegant restaurant.

After lunch, take CityBus No. 6 and get off at Bowen Road, Stubbs Road Station, from where the Bus No. 15 will take you up to the Victoria Peak. It is the best place to have a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island. Finally, you could go back to Central by bus and take a Star ferry back to the Victoria Harbor in time to watch the wonderful A Symphony of Lights at 20:00.
