Cairo to Aswan – Nile Cruise Begins
Morning:
Fly from Cairo to Aswan. Upon arrival, one of our friendly representatives will meet you at the Aswan Airport and transfer you to your luxury Nile cruise ship for check-in. Settle into your cabin, take some time to relax, and get ready for an unforgettable exploration of Aswan’s iconic sights.
Afternoon:
Once you're refreshed, you’ll meet your expert tour guide who will brief you on your upcoming cruise itinerary. Then, the adventure begins with a visit to three of the most significant landmarks in Aswan:
Philae Temple
Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple is one of the most beautiful and historically revered temples in Egypt. Originally situated on the banks of the Nile, it was relocated to Agilika Island to protect it from flooding due to the creation of Lake Nasser. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it boasts not only the Temple of Isis but also the Kiosk of Trajan, the Temple of Hathor, and other structures from Byzantine and Roman times.
The Unfinished Obelisk
Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the quarries of Aswan. This colossal obelisk, which weighs over 1,000 tons, offers a glimpse into the monumental stonework of ancient Egypt. It was abandoned due to a crack that appeared during its carving, giving us a unique insight into ancient quarrying methods.
Aswan High Dam
Next, explore the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt’s most significant modern engineering feats. Stretching 3,830 meters long, the dam controls flooding, generates electricity, and provides water for agriculture.
Meals:
Enjoy a delicious breakfast if we are able to catch it, lunch, and dinner aboard the Nile cruise ship.
Overnight:
Relax and unwind as the Nile cruise sets sail, continuing your journey with luxurious accommodations onboard.
Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu
Start your day with an optional tour to the Abu Simbel Temples, one of Egypt’s most awe-inspiring sights. These monumental structures were carved into the mountainside by King Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. The grandeur of these temples is unmatched, particularly the famous colossal statues of Ramses II. A fascinating sight to behold is the "miracle of the sun," where twice a year the sun aligns perfectly with the face of the king.
Note: The Abu Simbel tour is optional and will be available for an additional fee.
Afternoon:
After the Abu Simbel tour (if opted), the cruise ship will set sail from Aswan, heading towards Kom Ombo City. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the Kom Ombo Temple, a unique double-temple dedicated to the gods Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus. The temple offers a fascinating insight into Egyptian architecture, with symmetrical design and impressive reliefs. You’ll also visit the Mummified Crocodile Museum.
After the temple visit, the cruise ship will continue sailing towards Edfu City, where you will dock overnight.
Meals:
Enjoy delicious meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner on board the Nile cruise.
Overnight:
Relax overnight aboard the luxurious cruise ship in Edfu City.
Edfu – Luxor (East Bank)
Morning:
Early in the morning, the cruise ship will arrive in Edfu City. After a hearty breakfast, your guide will take you on a horse-drawn carriage ride to visit the Edfu Temple. Known as the Temple of Horus, this magnificent structure is the second-largest temple in Egypt, after Karnak.
Afternoon:
Following the Edfu Temple visit, the cruise will continue its journey towards Luxor, arriving around 4:00 PM. In Luxor, your expert guide will take you on a tour of the East Bank, starting with two of the most impressive temples in the world:
Karnak Temple
The Karnak Temple Complex is a vast open-air museum made up of temples, chapels, and monuments. Known as a "fortified village" due to its size, it is one of the most important religious sites in Egypt.
Luxor Temple
Located in the heart of modern Luxor, Luxor Temple was once the center for religious festivities and celebrations. This stunning monument stands proudly on the banks of the Nile.

Colossi of Memnon
Two towering statues standing at the entrance of the temple of Amenhotep III. Known for the mysterious “singing” sound of the northern statue at sunrise.
