Argentina Grand Journey: South to North in 12 Days

At the indicated time, we will transfer to Buenos Aires Airport (AEP/EZE) to board our flight to the next destination:

Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, also known as “the end of the world.”

Upon arrival, a private transfer will be waiting to take you to your accommodation.

In the afternoon, another transfer will pick you up from the hotel to begin a guided city tour of Ushuaia, exploring the highlights of this unique Patagonian town.

We’ll start with a visit to the historic La Misión neighborhood, pass by the iconic Ushuaia sign, and continue on to some of the best panoramic viewpoints for unforgettable photos of the city, the mountains, and the Beagle Channel.

To end the experience on a high note, we’ll enjoy a tasting of three Patagonian wines, paired with a delicious selection of regional cheeses — the perfect way to toast to your arrival at the end of the world.

After the tour, we return to the hotel to relax and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Leaving Ushuaia and heading southwest, we’ll take National Route No. 3 toward Tierra del Fuego National Park.

After crossing the Pipo River bridge, next to the Ushuaia Golf Club, we’ll arrive at the station of the historic Austral Fueguino Railway, where we’ll board the legendary End of the World Train — a magical journey through the region’s natural beauty and history.

As the train moves through forests of lenga trees and expansive peat bogs, we’ll reach Lake Acigami (formerly Lake Roca), a glacier-fed lake framed by mountains and lush woodlands, where native bird species can often be spotted.

The final stretch of the excursion takes us to the iconic Lapataia Bay, after passing through the cormorant archipelago, more peat bogs, and even a beaver dam.

At Bahía Lapataia, in addition to its rich marine coastline full of mussels and mollusks, we’ll discover traces of the ancestral indigenous peoples who once inhabited this remote corner of the world.

There will be time to stroll the walkways, take stunning photos, and soak in the profound feeling of truly standing at the end of the world.

After the excursion, we return to our accommodation in Ushuaia where the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

We suggest taking the legendary Beagle Channel boat trip, a must-do experience in Ushuaia.

If you're traveling between October and March, you can also combine it with a visit to Martillo Island to see the charming Magellanic penguins in their natural habitat — a true highlight for nature lovers.

At the indicated time, we’ll transfer to Ushuaia Airport to take our flight to our next destination: El Calafate — the land of glaciers.

Upon arrival, a private transfer will take us to our accommodation.

The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore the city at your own pace.

For those who wish to enhance the experience, we highly recommend the optional excursion "Nativo Experience: Lakes & Caverns."

This unique tour combines history, nature, and culture as it follows the shoreline of Lago Argentino, exploring Patagonian steppe landscapes and learning about the life of the native peoples who once inhabited the region.

Today, we dedicate the day to one of the world’s greatest natural wonders: the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier.

This awe-inspiring ice mass flows from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the third largest glacial area on Earth after Antarctica and Greenland, covering approximately 22,000 square kilometers.

Thanks to unique and favorable local conditions, Perito Moreno is the only glacier in the world that still advances and ruptures in a cycle of natural spectacle.

The road takes us right in front of its towering ice wall — just a few meters away — offering an unforgettable view.

The roar of cracking ice, the thunderous collapse of seracs into the turquoise waters, and the stillness of the surroundings make this visit a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Later, we’ll head to Bajo de las Sombras, where we’ll board a catamaran to sail across Lago Rico and get a closer look at the glacier’s stunning façade and floating icebergs — a peaceful yet powerful way to witness the grandeur of Perito Moreno.

After returning to El Calafate, we’ll end the day with a very special experience:

a closed-door dinner at a local chef’s house, where we’ll enjoy a curated tasting menu featuring the most delicious Patagonian dishes, in an intimate and cozy atmosphere.

After breakfast, the rest of the day is free to enjoy any of the optional tours that El Calafate has to offer.

We highly recommend taking a full-day excursion to the charming village of El Chaltén, nestled within Los Glaciares National Park and known as the trekking capital of Argentina.

Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this picturesque town is the gateway to stunning trails that offer incredible views of the iconic Mount Fitz Roy, one of the most emblematic peaks of Patagonia.

Another great option is to visit a traditional Patagonian estancia, where you can immerse yourself in local rural life, enjoy authentic regional cuisine, and even witness a sheep-shearing demonstration, all while taking in the peaceful landscapes of the steppe.

Whichever experience you choose, it will be a perfect way to connect with the essence of Patagonia.

Today we head to El Calafate Airport to board our flight to Puerto Iguazú.

Please note that the flight will likely include a brief stop in Buenos Aires before continuing on to our final destination.

Upon arrival in Puerto Iguazú, a private transfer will be waiting to take us to our accommodation.

The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and begin soaking in the subtropical atmosphere of this vibrant region.

Domestic Flight from El Calafate (FTE) to Puerto Iguazú (IGR) is not included 

Today we will visit the Argentinian Side of the Falls. Upon arrival we will visit: Devil's Throat Circuit: The astonishing beauty and energy of the sight thrill everyone, an exciting mixture of views and sounds. The Upper circuit, with magnificent panoramic views offers the smaller falls and islands of the Iguazu River delta. And the Lower circuit, strategically located walkways and bridges allow us a charming and intimate touch with nature, having different views of the falls from below. 

Then we will go along 8 km route in all-terrain vehicle along the Yacaratiá Trail, to Puerto Macuco. Once we arrive we will get on board in semi-rigid gomones navigating 6 kilometers. Then, we will entrance to the Canyon of the Devil's Throat with approximation to the jumps and disembarkation in the Island San Martin, heart of the Iguazú Waterfalls. Then we go back to our hotel.

Today we will visit the Brazilian Side of the Falls, this 175.000 hectares National Park thrills with its amazing beauty and biodiversity vegetable and animal species. Since 80% of the 

total 275 falls pour their water in the Argentinian side, they show their beauty facing Brazil. The Brazilian side offers the most spectacular front panoramic views throughout the near a thousand meters walkway. At the end of it, facing Floriano fall there is a viewpoint that can be reached through the elevator, from where we will enjoy of one of the most extraordinary views of the waterfalls. 

In the late afternoon we transfer to Puerto Iguazu airport to take our flight to Buenos Aires.

At night a transfer will pick you up to enjoy a dinner tango show in one of the most prestigious dance venues of Buenos Aires. Located in the heart of San Telmo, Buenos Aires old quarter, this show features over 30 artists on stage with a live orchestra that will leave you speechless.

Entering the building is like traveling back in time: it used to be an old tenement house, and the interior is very well preserved. Featuring both tango and folklore, this is one of the most complete shows Buenos Aires has to offer. Then we go back to our accommodation.

A unique experience to Santa Susana’s Ranch. In this tour you will find the Gaucho’s Countryside life, and the peaceful of the place where he lives. At the end of the last century, Francisco Kelly, a descendant of Irish, named these lands Santa Susana, in homage to his wife, called Susana Caffrey. Its extension is 1200 hectares. , dedicated mostly to agricultural exploitation, adding to it the national and international tourist activity, for approximately 30 years. We invite you to make a trip in a Traditional Sulkie, the traditional Carriage that people used to use in the countryside.
