After breakfast, we will start a full-day tour of Punta del Este, also known as East Cape or East Knoll, lasting approximately 11.5 hours.
Punta del Este is one of the most advanced and trendy beach resorts in South America. First, we will stop in Piriápolis, Uruguay’s first summer resort, known for its charming white sand beaches, hills, and scenic beauty surrounded by pine and eucalyptus trees. Then, we will head to the city area, which combines different European architectural styles. Our tour will begin in the morning, passing through the coastal areas of Montevideo and Canelones.
You will explore the picturesque landscapes surrounded by mountains, pine, and eucalyptus trees and learn about the mysticism of the Knights Templar and alchemy through the works of Humberto Pittamiglio at the water source Las Flores. We will continue along Route 10, which offers views of the Rio de la Plata, to reach Piriápolis, founded by Francisco Piria in 1890. We will visit the Argentino Hotel and San Antonio Hill, stopping at the panoramic viewpoint.
During the journey, we will see the Casa Pueblo, a waterfront white house built by the famous Uruguayan artist Pablo. We will arrive at Playa Mansa in Punta del Este, passing through Candelaria Port, where the Rio de la Plata meets the ocean. You can also see Isla de Lobos and its lighthouse. Next, we will visit the iconic La Mano monument, where you will have free time to take photos, enjoy lunch, and explore at your leisure.
After gathering, we will drive through the Beverly Hills neighborhood with its mansions and large gardens, the Marconi community, and El Cantegril, the oldest and most famous neighborhood in Punta del Este. Finally, we will return to the hotel in Montevideo.
