The trekking trail of the Short Everest Trek is brimming with views of mountains peaks like the Lhotse Peak, Mount Nuptse, the Thamserku peak, the Ama Dablam and Everest itself. The mountainous wilderness of the region is also beautifully enveloped in the trekking trails and presents wonderful Himalayan landscapes that are quite ethereal. The florescent meadows, the wide open pasturelands and the distant sight of the cerulean peaks are something that looks and feel heavenly. Short Everest Trek is a celestial journey that takes you on prepossessing paths and +beautiful trails with views of the giant Peaks as the company.
Starting with a beautiful and scenic flight to Lukla, Short Everest Trek presents lush woodlands and panoramas of ivory peaks. The short flight to Lukla itself can be viewed as a short adventure in itself because of the sights of the changing landscape it presents. The terrain below changes from the crowded city to secluded forests and giant hills enveloped with jaded foliages. Landing on a narrow runway at Lukla, you then descend down to the Dudh Koshi River and start your trek along well-paved paths to the village of Phakding. Trekking through blooming forests of blossoming rhododendrons, the trail passes through the Sagarmatha National Park.
As you move along the green paths of the park, you may encounter glimpses of rare animals that have a habitat on the woods and grasslands on the parks acreages. Passing villages like Monjo and Jorsale, you would be reaching Namche Bazaar. Namche is also called the “Gateway to Everest” and utterly fascinating and gorgeous views of the mountains can be seen from the settlement. Namche also used to be an important rendezvous point for Tibetan and Nepali traders in the past; salt, dried meat, wool, and other trinkets used to be exchanged at Namche, making it an important commercial village as well. While at Namche, you can have a visit to the Syangboche Airport, the Kunde Hospital, the Sherpa Culture Museum, and the Everest Photo Gallery.

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

Day 2
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding, Duration
In the early morning today, you will take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. It is a short 35 minute flight and presents wonderful views of the terrains and mountains below. The airfield is at a high elevation and the difference between the two ends of the runway at the Lukla airport is an exceptional 60 meters only! Once at Lukla, you will then trek to Phakding, walking on a trail that is filled with beautiful green landscape and the view of the Kusum Kangraru Peak. The “Kusum Kangraru” means “Three Snow white-Gods” in the Sherpa language, which refers to the triple summit of the mountain. With an altitude of 6,367 meters, the mountain is classified as a trekking peak but is considered as one of the most difficult peaks to climb. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Phakding, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 3
Phakding to Namche Bazaar, Duration
Following the Dudh Koshi River, you would be ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar forests to reach the village of Namche Bazaar today. The village of Namche is an important hub of the Khumbu region and you would be able to view amazing sights of the mountain peaks like Everest, Thamserku and Nuptse among many others. Namche Bazaar used to be an important rendezvous point in ancient times where Nepali and Tibetan traders used to exchange salt, dried meats and textiles. The trekking trail is full of amazing sights and woodlands, verdant forests and ebullient rivers and small rivulets. Overnight stay at the guesthouse, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 4
Hike from Namche Bazaar to the Everest View Hotel and Khumjung/Khunde
You will be leaving early today to hike up to the Everest View Hotel. The Hotel Everest View is one of the highest located hotels in the world and presents absolutely magnificent views of Mount Everest and many of its surrounding peaks. It takes an hour to hike up to the Everest View Hotel from Namche and the sights of peaks like Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Nuptse present themselves in a marvelous array of Himalayan tapestry. After a relaxing stay at the hotel for a short time, you will then continue on to the Sherpa village of Khumjung/Khunde. The village is located at an elevation of 3,790 meters and is situated near Mount Khumbila. On the way back, you can also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Namche, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 5
Namche to Lukla (2800m), Duration
The trekking trail continues along the Dudh Koshi River to the small mountain strip at Lukla from where you will catch your return flight to Kathmandu tomorrow. The trail is brimming with the region’s natural beauty and you would be trekking on an extremely winsome path. Overnight stay at the guesthouse, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 6
Lukla to Kathmandu
Today, you will be flying back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Upon landing at Kathmandu, you would be taken to your hotel where you can relax or roam around town for a while. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu, Breakfast included.
Day 7
Farewell
Three hours before your scheduled flight, you will be transferred to the airport by one of Escape Himalaya’s representatives from where you will depart.

General Booking Conditions
For Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan Tours: Provide us a photocopy of your passport and 20% of trip cost as a deposit while booking your trip with us. The deposit amount is nonrefundable.
Risk and Liabilities
All the Nepal, China and Bhutan Tours are conducted under the strict rules and regulations of the tourism board of the respective countries. We are not liable for any changes or cancellations of the trip under unavoidable circumstances like the change in rules and regulations of Country, Government restrictions, natural disasters, political instability and cancellation of flights, delays, sickness or accident and breakdown of vehicles. Any extra cost incurred due to such circumstances shall be borne by the clients themselves. Therefore, Travel Insurance is mandatory.
Last Minute Booking
We accept last minute bookings. You can book a trip to Nepal 7 days prior to the trip departure dates. Last minute booking may not be acceptable in the cases of Bhutan or Tibet Trips.
Postponing the Trip
A written notice should be sent to us 30 days prior to the trip departure date.
In case of postponing of Nepal Tour, minimum USD 150 will be charged as a current trip cancellation charge and the remaining amount will be transferred for the postponed trip.
In case of postponing of Tibet and Bhutan Tour, a trip cancellation charge will be charged as per the trending market rate of those countries. It solely depends upon the ongoing policy of our agents in Tibet and Bhutan. For now, 20% of trip costs and 50% of trip costs will be charged in case of postponing of Bhutan and Tibet Trip respectively.
Trip Cancellation (Nepal)
In case you intend to cancel your trip for any reasons, you need to write it to us 14 days prior to your trip departure date. We shall approve it as canceled only after receiving a valid written notice from the client. If the reason for your cancellation is genuine like injury or serious illness, you can postpone your trip or transfer your booking to another person who meets all the requirements for the trip. However, a fee of USD 150 per person will be charged if you postpone or transfer your trip within 15 days prior to your trip date. As per our policy, the deposit amount is non-refundable, therefore, you can utilize the amount to book a trip with Escape Himalaya next time.
Trip Cancellation (Bhutan)
A valid written notice of cancellation should be provided 30 days prior to your trip departure date. In case you cancel your Bhutan Tour, 20% of the trip cost will be charged as a cancellation charge (even in case of postponing or transfer of a trip to another person). The remaining amount will remain secured with Escape Himalaya as a deposit from you. You can utilize it to book the tour with Escape Himalaya next time. The amount is non-refundable.
Trip Cancellation (Tibet)
A valid written notice of cancellation should be provided 30 days prior to your trip departure date. In case you cancel your Tibet tour, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as a cancellation charge (even in case of postponing or transfer of a trip to another person). The remaining amount will remain secured with Escape Himalaya as a deposit from you. You can utilize it to book the tour with Escape Himalaya next time. The amount is non-refundable.
Incomplete Tour
We are not liable for any refunds in cases of any incomplete tour, trek or expedition whatever the reason.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If your trip gets canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances like natural disasters, war or unfavorable climatic conditions, we will arrange another trip for you. Thus, even if your trip isn’t the one you chose, your money will not go in vain.
Price Changing
We reserve our rights to change the price under various circumstances. Though our action will be reasonably pertaining to cases of some circumstances such as the drastic change in exchange rate, inflation, government actions, and others, we are not liable to answer to anyone for our action.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance package to all our clients. The insurance must cover all the medical expense, personal accident, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation, loss of gears and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects and helicopter services in the mountains.
Flight Delay/Cancellation
Flight delays and cancellation tend to happen quite often during bad weather conditions in remote areas, particularly in the Everest region, the Annapurna region, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla region. Therefore, it is advisable to carry some extra money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. Escape Himalaya will not be responsible for any of the additional expenses. Therefore, please plan accordingly.
Your Personal Belongings
We are not liable for any damage or loss of your luggage or property. They are at your own risk.
During the Tour
In case you commit any unlawful act during your tour and you are compelled to leave Nepal, Escape Himalaya is not liable for any kind of refunds.
