When you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, your friendly tour leader will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. We also offer pickups from any hotel in Colombo or Negombo for your convenience.  

Your first stop is the charming coastal town of Negombo, one of Sri Lanka’s most popular beach destinations, known for its golden sands, fresh seafood, and lively atmosphere.  

Day Plan:  

There are no planned activities on your arrival day, so you can take your time as you land. Our 24/7 airport transfer service guarantees a smooth and comfortable start to your holiday.  

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your beachside hotel. You can lounge by the pool, unwind on the sand, or simply enjoy the tropical surroundings.  

In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore and take in the colorful sunset and the relaxed coastal vibe.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Ceylon tea or coffee, you’ll start a scenic drive through the beautiful Sri Lankan countryside toward Dambulla. This area is at the heart of the island’s famous Cultural Triangle.

On the way, you’ll stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Rehabilitation Centre, a sanctuary for orphaned and injured wild elephants. Here, you’ll have the chance to get close to these gentle giants, feed them, and even help bathe them in the nearby river. It will be a heartwarming and memorable experience.

When you arrive in Dambulla, you’ll go on a cultural village tour that offers a unique look into traditional Sri Lankan life. Your journey starts with a tuk-tuk ride and a peaceful catamaran boat ride across a scenic lake, leading you to a local farmer’s home. There, you’ll see a live cooking demo for Sri Lankan curry and enjoy a hearty homemade meal featuring authentic countryside flavors.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the island’s most valued landmarks. Built by King Kasyapa (477–495 AD), this ancient citadel rises dramatically from the jungle. It features intricate frescoes, royal gardens, and stunning views from the summit. Late afternoon is the perfect time to climb, as the golden hour gives the landscape a magical light that offers an unforgettable sight.

For those who rise early, an optional sunrise hike to Pidurangala Rock provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jungle and the majestic Sigiriya Rock in the morning light. This is a perfect chance for stunning photos and peaceful reflection.

After breakfast, head to Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka. King Vijayabahu established his kingdom here in 1070 AD. Exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site by bicycle offers a wonderful way to connect with the island’s history. You can pedal past grand ruins, ancient temples, statues, and reservoirs that showcase a golden age of Sri Lankan civilization.

In the afternoon, embark on an exciting 4x4 jeep safari at either Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park, both known for their large gatherings of wild elephants. Covering more than 8,800 hectares, these parks are home to diverse wildlife. However, it’s the elephants, especially the playful babies at the water’s edge during sunset, that truly steal the show.

After a thrilling day, return to your resort to relax in the calm natural surroundings. If you want to unwind further, you can choose a soothing Ayurvedic herbal massage, a traditional Sri Lankan wellness experience.

After breakfast, continue your journey to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka and the last Sinhalese kingdom. Kandy sits on a scenic plateau surrounded by mountains. It is famous for its tea plantations, lush rainforests, and important Buddhist sites, especially the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Day Plan:

On your way to Kandy, stop to see the Dambulla Cave Temple and Golden Buddha Statue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This site is 160 meters above the plains and is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The five cave temples hold an impressive collection of statues and colorful frescoes that show centuries of religious devotion and artistry.

When you arrive in Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains a revered relic of the Buddha and features beautiful traditional architecture with a deeply spiritual feel.

In the evening, you will have free time to walk around Kandy’s city center, visit the peaceful Kandy Lake, or enjoy panoramic views from a local viewpoint. Later, take in a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance, which includes vibrant costumes, rhythmic drumming, and dances inspired by Sri Lankan folklore and rituals.

This morning, head to Kitulgala, a green rainforest area and one of Sri Lanka’s top eco-adventure spots. Known for its beautiful landscapes, diverse wildlife, and exciting outdoor activities, Kitulgala is a great place for nature lovers and thrill-seekers.

Day Plan:

When you arrive in Kitulgala, prepare for an exciting white water rafting trip on the Kelani River. Surrounded by tropical forest and scenic hills, this river combines adventure with peaceful natural views. The rafting is open to anyone aged 10 and older, and all safety measures are in place to ensure a fun and safe experience.

Next, continue your adventure with a short hike to a natural rock pool hidden deep in the jungle. Here, you’ll enjoy the chance to slide down a 5-meter sloped waterfall, which acts as a natural waterslide leading into a clear rock pool. Safety gear and guidance will be provided.

After breakfast, start a scenic journey through lush green tea plantations and cascading waterfalls as you head into the cool, misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s beloved hill country retreat. Day Plan:

Before leaving Nuwara Eliya, enjoy a guided visit to a local Gem Museum. Here, you'll learn about Sri Lanka’s world-famous gems and intricate jewelry making. Discover the traditional methods behind gem-cutting and polishing that have earned Sri Lanka global recognition in the gem trade.

Next, visit the Peradeniya Royal Garden. It is known as one of the best botanical gardens in Asia.

As you wind through the mist-covered hills, stop at a working tea plantation and factory. Witness firsthand the time-honored art of producing world-renowned Ceylon tea. Learn about the detailed process of plucking, drying, and grading. Finish your tour with a warm cup of freshly brewed tea, a perfect way to enjoy the flavor of the region.

In the afternoon, take some leisure time exploring Nuwara Eliya’s city center on foot. Highlights include the iconic red-brick Post Office, the historic Grand Hotel, and the serene Victoria Park. Stroll past colonial-era architecture, browse through local fruit and vegetable markets, and soak in the crisp mountain air and peaceful surroundings.

This morning, get ready for one of the best parts of your trip: a fantastic train ride through Sri Lanka’s beautiful highlands. You will travel from Nanu Oya to Ella, a lovely village in the heart of the island’s hill country.

Day Plan:

Board your train at Nanu Oya station for what many consider one of the most stunning train rides in the world. As the train moves through misty mountains, green tea plantations, and quaint rural villages, you will see breathtaking views and have plenty of chances to take photos. Train tickets will be available at the station, and the class category depends on what is open.

When you arrive in Ella, take a relaxing walk through the easygoing village. Travelers love Ella for its peaceful vibe and natural beauty. It is surrounded by hilly forests, scenic tea farms, and charming viewpoints.

Must-See Sights in Ella:

• Ravana Falls: This beautiful waterfall is named after the legendary king from the Ramayana epic.
• Nine Arch Bridge: This amazing piece of colonial-era engineering is a perfect spot for photos, especially when trains pass over its iconic stone arches.
• Mini Adam’s Peak: If you feel like being active, enjoy a short hike to the top for wide views of Ella Gap and the valleys around it.

Early morning, you will visit the  Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife sanctuary. Yala is known for its rich plant and animal life and stunning landscapes. It offers exciting chances to see some of the island's most elusive and majestic animals.

In the early morning, set out on an unforgettable 4x4 jeep safari through Yala National Park. The vast park is divided into two zones by a river. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elusive leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, wild elephants, and hundreds of colorful bird species. As the sun rises, watch baby elephants play by the water, see crocodiles patrolling the riverbanks, and listen as the jungle comes alive a magical end to your day in the wild.

Next, you will head to the beautiful seaside of the island. On your way to the beach, stop at the iconic Coconut Tree Hill in Mirissa, a picture-perfect spot where rows of palms look out over the turquoise ocean. This location is one of the most Instagram-worthy in Sri Lanka, offering stunning views and great photo opportunities.

Once you arrive at the hotel, spend the rest of the day at your own pace. Relax on the golden sandy beach, sip a fresh coconut under the palms, or cool off with a swim.

After your exciting adventures through waterfalls, highlands, and jungles, today you’ll spend the day at the famous southern coastline of Sri Lanka. Your destination is the peaceful, sun-soaked beaches of Weligama. Once hidden gems, these beaches are now loved for their easygoing charm, golden sands, and swaying coconut palms.

Day Plan:

Early in the morning, set off on an exciting whale watching trip (seasonal). Hop on a boat and explore the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean in search of majestic blue whales, playful dolphins, and other marine life. Please remember that whale watching depends on the season, ocean conditions, and migration patterns.

After breakfast, grab a towel and head to the beach for a sunny afternoon under a palm tree, enjoying a cool cocktail or cold beer. The warm waters and gentle waves create the perfect spot to relax, swim, or simply soak up the tropical atmosphere.

As the sun begins to set, go to the beach for a beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean. It’s a perfect moment for photos and a tranquil way to end the day. After breakfast, continue your journey along Sri Lanka’s scenic southern coastline, where history, culture, and natural beauty come together. Today, you'll explore colonial Galle, glide through mangrove forests, meet sea turtles, and relax on the calm beaches of Bentota.

Day Plan:

On your way north, stop in Matara to see the famous Sri Lankan stilt fishermen. This centuries-old fishing tradition is unique to this coastal area. They stand gracefully on narrow poles planted in the shallow sea, creating an iconic and photogenic scene.

Upon arrival in Galle, step into a different time as you walk through the historic Galle Fort. Originally built by the Portuguese and later strengthened by the Dutch, this well-preserved fort features cobblestone streets, colonial buildings, boutique cafes, and art galleries, all with the Indian Ocean as a backdrop. Don’t miss the Galle Lighthouse, which stands proudly at the southeastern edge of the fort.

Next, enjoy a boat safari along the Madu River. You will navigate through a network of mangrove forests and islands. Along the way, visit a local fish farm. Here, you can try traditional fish therapy, a fun experience where tiny fish nibble away dead skin from your feet.

In the afternoon, visit a Turtle Hatchery Centre, where injured sea turtles are cared for, and baby turtles are raised before being safely released into the ocean. This offers an inspiring view of Sri Lanka’s conservation efforts and marine life.

Arrive in Bentota and spend the evening unwinding on the beach. Enjoy the golden sunset, take a quiet walk along the shore, or relax at your resort with a refreshing drink while listening to the sound of the waves.

After breakfast, start your final day with a visit to Colombo, the lively capital of Sri Lanka. With a history that goes back to the 5th century, Colombo has been an important center for East-West sea trade. Today, it is a bustling city that mixes modern style with colonial charm, busy markets, and cultural sites.

Day Plan:

Upon arriving in Colombo, take a sightseeing tour to see the city's most famous attractions, including:

• Red Mosque: A striking architectural landmark in the heart of Pettah.
• Gangaramaya Temple: A mix of traditional and modern Buddhist architecture that holds cultural and religious importance.
• Independence Memorial Hall: A historic site that honors Sri Lanka’s independence from British rule.
• Modern city highlights: This includes Galle Face Green, colonial buildings, and upscale shopping malls for last-minute souvenirs.

In the evening, you can enjoy a meal at one of Colombo’s top restaurants. It’s a great way to celebrate the end of your journey with authentic Sri Lankan dishes or global cuisine in a stylish atmosphere.

Today, we will transfer you to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in time for your return flight. Alternatively, we can drop you at your Colombo or Negombo hotel, based on your onward travel plans.
